Spent most of the last night and a good portion of this morning reading Shadows from scratch, and after it all thus far, a large part of me wants Naruto to end up with Ren. Even if that's not how it goes (and we've seen how much of a cluster fuck Naruto's love and family life is) there is the whole not letting the royal line die out which Liara broached with Mikoto many chapters back. I think Ren would fall nicely into that since she doesn't even entertain the idea of thinking of anyone but Naruto from what you showed us in the story.

I have to admit that is very Uchiha of him. Only thing I can hope is that in the end he is allowed a happy ending. Great work man

Hello Blackwolf, this is just a note for the future. I remember reading this story years ago but eventually both losing it in my library, which as you can see is rather extensive alongside losing interest in mass effect stories. It had nothing to do with originality... but rather a desire for something less focused on subterfuge and politics. I have finally gotten around to your story once again 2itha rather renewed fire. I probably won't review until I catch up but know that when I do you will have at least one other loyal reader. Great job so far

God I hate Jash

The plan of Naruto sounds like a scuffed version of Lelouch's in Code Geass but he doesn't die, in fact he basically remains in power as a Grand Admiral. His sister most likely will listen to him too. So i don't see why the other factions would agree with Naruto basically staying in power. They would think that he uses Ren as a puppet Empress and he will continue to rule from the shadows. I know it's cheesy but i think faking his death or him being imprisoned would make more sense

There's a problem with the inheritance law middle class people who have enough money built up for say twenty years of living in middle class after hard work would only give 2 years to their children. In effect while it's good for the military middle class would also be in a slight uproar. Even with the added benefits it would depend upon how good the benefits are for such a action.
