Oh my soul... I love this story

I read this story several years ago, and I never noticed the epilogue. I just reread the whole thing, and I'm glad I did. This story stayed with me for years. I never forgot parts of it, such as when Jane and Maura have sex for the first time, and afterwards they are kinder and gentler with each other. Anyway, I loved the epilogue and am so glad I revisited this captivating story. Thanks for writing it.

What an incredible, wonderful, marvelous, heartfelt story, oh god I started reading at eight at night and didn't go to bed until five in the morning. I just couldn't stop! The characters were wonderfully well rounded, with their own esence, and oh god... the way Maura and Jane fell for each other., it was sublime. It was gorgeous. I'm in love with their love. I just finished to read this story for the second time and I must confess that it was the first time I read a fanfiction twice. But one week ago I felt like reading a beautiful lesbian love story and I immediatly thought : "what was this story where Jane was a piano player again ?"... I'm telling that just so you understand that this story is the one I remember the most among everything I've read for like 8 years ! And I am happy that I thought about it because it is still wonderful at the second reading.
You are a gifted writter. I hope you still find pleasure in writting.

Don't know how I stumbled onto this. I got to the scene with the bloody paino keys and cried. I was thinking this is the best damn thing I've read. A few parts of it I was thinking 'this reminds me of colourmetheworld.' I got to the end and went to review only then realising it IS yours. It is brilliant. As always. I don't know how you find the depth in the pain and can hold it for such a long time and it still ends beautifully. I hope you didn't suffer your own pain so greatly because it feels like you write like you felt it. I hope yours is a happily ever after in real life.

I am almost finished with my reread and finally sat down to write a proper review for this amazing story. I really like well thought out AUs, thats maybe why I think this is one of your best works here. You play with the characters and expectations, it is Constance that is understanding and supports them the most, I really like her development from aloof to warm and caring. Richard and Frank are quite similar, they put the physical safety and needs of their families before anything else, which doesnt necessarily make them bad human beings, just misguided (though I can totally understand why Maura doesnt speak to her father). Frost, Susie and Ian are just wonderful, fleshed out characters with their own needs and desires that are not just backdrop to Rizzles, and they feel so real.

The interactions of Jane and Maura are beautifully written, it is well paced and the development of their relationship feels natural, the fluff is cute and heart warming and the arguments and fights feel believable and dont last too long (in universe time), even their break up ends as soon as possible (again in universe).

Thank you for this awesome story, now I need to remember to go look up all the songs mentioned in the story, since I mostly read this on my commute.
