I'm sorry if I'm starting to sound like a broken record by now, but I LOVE your immaculate attention to detail! It's so refreshing and lovely.

First - I love how you completely immerse yourself in someone's character when you're writing from their point of view. It sounds exactly how the respective character's mind works, and that's just brilliant. The way you went into detail about Rei's overview of the whole situation - very nicely progressed and carried out. The way he was so angry and simultaneously disgusted at himself was what made this so rich and realistic to me.

And then Nagisa's side of the situation... that was just marvelous. It's so like him to just want to cheer someone up and distract them instead of addressing the issue. Characterization with both of them was outstanding here.

My personal favorite part of this story, by far, was when Rei thought Nagisa was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. I LOVE how you centered in on the fact that, despite Nagisa's less-than-attractive state at that moment, the emotion and meaning conveyed behind the situation - and of course Rei's fond observation - was what made it all so beautiful to Rei. I don't even know how to put it into words properly (hurr what are words), but that was fabulous.

It ended perfectly, this was so sweet and heartwarming, and wow, YOU'RE GIVING ME FREELS. Brilliantly done!

Oh my god, so much angst but so much sweetness! I'm drowning in FEELS! I really like how you filled in this part of the story and gave insight into Rei's thoughts. Personally, I would've liked a little bit more dialogue in the first half of the story, but that's just me. You did a really nice job capturing the dynamic btwn Rei and Nagisa! Thanks for the fic! :)
