What an amazing fic, you wrote so well the numbness of Snape. You manage as well to describe all the horror of his imprisonment, yet without falling in voyeurism. I liked how Harry was here to help him go through all of this, but not in a way "love save the day". Snape had a lot to deal by himself too.

Wow such a wonderful story! I read it all in one go... And it has been a few years since I have last read an HP fanfiction! It's a pleasure to come back to the basics once in a while...

And if Remus would actually do anything for anybody, instead of being the perpetual victim, he might not have to feel so guilty all the time.

But Snape, perhaps, has changed most of all, and given up the guilt that was never his to begin with.

Well...what Albus left behind were people he thought he had wound up like clocks to do his bidding while he was gone. In canon, we learned just how much he cared for them and his total willingness to sacrifice everybody to the Greater Good (his sacrifice was forced, not sure that counts, but he sure didn't mind sacrificing everyone else, either).

Snape only wanted to sacrifice himself, and not anyone else, and I think the school recognized that.

Sadly, Harry will never see any difference between the two.

Oh, I think the school still believe he's Headmaster. Maybe Snape can do something to help the school, after all.

Ah. Has *Harry* tried to establish a Nexus yet?
