Hello! I love this story! Just one critique. So, I know you have mentioned how quetzalquoatl roughly translates to feathered/winged serpent. While this is true, it is not an animal. It is, in fact, the name of the god, a feathered and winged serpent named Quetzalquoatl. The word comes from Nahuatl, which is/was a common Aztec language, and not a Mayan one. It does mean feather serpent, so you’re not wrong there. He is the god of wind and wisdom, and was first worshiped in Teotihuacan, now Mexico City. I am sorry for going on a rant, it just really bothered me for some reason. I’m just very into Aztec mythology. Also, the pyramids in Mexico are incredible. There are heads of the Aztec gods, including Quetzalquoatl, carved on the pyramids. I went there when visiting family who live in Mexico City. I apologize if I seem rude. I’m really not trying to. It just, as I said before, really bothers. Other than that, this story is incredible!
