I was curious when I saw this, epescially as Hermione/Barty Jr was a pairing I’ve never seen before. Usually the marriage law seems to be used to get her with Draco or Blaise or Theo. I think you’re off to a good start with this. I think this is the most in-depth set of laws I’ve seen for one of these stories. It all makes sense in a twisted logic kind of way, but this is wartime MoM we're talking about, so I can see them coming up with some crazy scheme more than the post-war ministry under Kingsley.

I don’t see the point in them ‘trying’ every week when it’s really only one week a month a girl can get pregnant. That seems more like a plot point to get them to have regular sex.

I feel for Hermione here, this is a bad time to be engaged to someone who’s ‘on the other side’ of the war. I doubt the ministry will change it though.
