I finally read all of this. Was not disappointed. I was actually terrified to read it all, because I was scared to see how it ended. You did it justice. Thank you for the amazing story... now I am going to go drown in my tears.

Wow that is intense sad and beautiful, I was getting all depressed as hell thinking she hated him and he lost her forever but this at least shows he can possibly earn forgiveness and have a second chance. Please let them be together, thanks for this amazing beautiful story

Wow such a cool ending... Loved the story glad it worked out and let me tell you I wish Sesshomaru could revive Naraku and kill him again and so forth. All in all it this was a great story. thanks for sharing.

Excellent story! While I would very much like it if you were to add a lovey dovey epilogue, hopefully with cute kids, I must strongly applaud this chapter and the previous two as well. It's great to see a Kagome with some self-respect who doesn't just roll over and accept being treated badly just because she's in love with him. She made him earn a second chance with her and made him prove he was worthy of being loved and trusted. I think that not only did she need that so as not to be haunted by their past, but he needed it to get past his own issues and truly value her. Sweeping things under the rug always comes back to bite you later. Without serious consequences the person hurt never completely lets down their guard and the person forgiven too easily is much more likely to backslide into bad behavior. Recently I've found far too many stories (and a lot from the past 5 years or so from the completed list I've been going through due to a decline in good Sess/Kag fics lately) where after betraying her he suddenly decides he really does want her and she just instantly forgives his treating her really badly because he's just so hot and she's so desperately in love with him. I've been rather appalled by the falling standards for expectations of loyalty, respect, and caring in relationships shown in these stories. It doesn't matter how pretty someone is to look at or how good they are in bed if they're making you miserable the rest of the time. This story is a little different from the ones I'm talking about, because he started out being a bad person and then because of her he genuinely wanted and tried to be better, but the principle still applies. As much as I was rooting for them to be together, I was glad she didn't go to him after she left the hospital. So thanks for a really good story with a Kagome who has some self respect and will power. I really enjoyed this story and I very much hope that you will write more. Like I said earlier, good Sess/Kag fanfics are getting hard to find.
