I already read this a hundred years ago, and now, rereading it again, the effect is still the same. This is so beautiful, but also so heartbreaking. Great writing!

You've hit another Jir/Tsu Grand Slam with this one. It was perfect; the old solider going off to fight one last battle, and his beloved sending him off properly. Even if he doesn't know who she really is. However, I believe that Jiraiya knew it was Tsunade under a henge. The way you wrote this story just shouts it to the world. It feels as if, though he knows its Tsunade, Jiraiya wants to not embarrass her yet wants to grant her the one wish she wants. As she grants him his one true wish.

I feel like it could stand a mature rating, but this was very beautifully written. You have such a command over prose and in their conversations. Light and yet tragic. Well done.
