Thank you so much for this. It's beautifully written and it completely fits my headcanon that Arthur/England can see ghosts (which now that I think about it, probably came from your other works involving him and ghosts). Either way, I absolutely loved it, and it made me cry multiple times throughout, which is what I hope you were aiming for! Thanks again :)

In terms, "shade" is usually used for moving shadows. I thought you'd use "specter", but I suppose "shade" works too.
