Wow, this story...

I love how real this feels, how they all struggle to adapt to each other and become a family. I liked how Matthew was just a regular kid before all this, and the bonding with Kate over their dead parents was beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time.

It was brilliant to see that it wasn't just Matthew struggling to fit into a new role, but that Kate and Castle were too. You brought up their insecurities and their fears, and especially for Castle, it's not always the case. He's always father extraordinaire, but here he was that, and a very fragile dad at the same time.

It's such a raw, powerful story about adoption and families and love. I loved every single word. I know it's been forever since you published it, but I needed to say this, even though I have a hard time coming up with the right words.

Thank you for writing this, it's one of my favorite fanfics, I couldn't stop reading once I started it.

great story, so very well written. I was totally emerced in the Matthew/adoption universe. I would love more and possibly a Caskett pregnancy thrown into the mix :)

This is probably one of the sweetest, cutest, most heart-wrenching story about Caskett with a kid. :) I love how you went so detailed into the adoption too, and didn't just use it for the drama. This has been a fantastic journey and I do hope there is more of Matthew & fam to come soon. Great job!

Really enjoyed this story. I've read many different fanfics of my favorite couples from different fandoms suddenly becoming parents and this one is now definitely one of my favorites. Very well written and fits nicely into the Castle story we all know and love. Well done!
