Aww, this was absolutely fantastic - you got Sarah's voice down so well, and I loved how you interwove bits from the game, like the poster and the neighbour that attacks them, into it. Brilliant, just brilliant - this should've been part of the DLC, in my opinion. :)

Okay, the dates have been fixed for the most part. My eyes must be going bad, as I could've sworn the newspaper had said the 28th. Sorry everybody!

And the reveal of the reader being Tommy being withheld until the end is just how I write some stories. I feel that it places the reader as a surrogate mentally when the character is unknown, thus increasing immersion a little bit. Your mileage may vary though.

The newspaper say "September 26th, 2013"... Well other than that I really enjoyed this. Great idea! Update ASAP!

A very interesting idea. It really gives more of the backstory in a rather cute manner. Though, you probably should have added a little more info on when Tommy entered the house and who even was reading. Granted, these are both paratially explained in the last paragraph, but it would have given it a little smoother start. Also, it's not unlikely that Joel would be working on a Saturday, since he was a frequently-working construction worker.

Those two things aside, great story!
