I do think if you spent a bit more time smoothing out dialogue wrinkles, adding punctuation here and a bit of capitalization there, it would be even better! Maybe it was because Alex seemed a little OOC to begin with, or because the idea of him being labelled a druggie by his classmates has been used so many times; I thought it would be clichéd. But the humour! The humour was great! So unexpected, and it worked so well! You should totally write some more little gems like this :) |
