A fantastic way to end this wonderful story, thank you so much for sharing it... but hurrah for plot bunnies to continue in this verse! Yay! The whole thing that came across very strongly, both in this chapter and recent ones, is a spirit of healing... not just physically but emotionally, for both men.

I teared up at Abby's 'I told Tony he was gonna save Gibbs'... partly because Abby 'got' the deeper meaning of the saving, that she could see how Tony, now both as a person and a fox, was able to be enough of a solid anchor in Gibbs' life in so many ways that Gibbs is now able to relax and find that playful side of himself again that's been hidden for so long.

I do like the way you write Abby... you lose none of her energy and her whirlwind nature where she's a tornado hug on legs but you also keep her serious perceptive side. Loved also her immediate reaction to Gibbs as a fox by not grabbing him but immediately latching onto the one thing that would mean the most to him, that he could control it.

Loved the way you had them reveal themselves as foxes... especially Tony surprising them all, which is so him and you could tell he enjoyed it... loved Ducky and Abby's reactions too, so in character (it takes a lot to make the Duckman speechless!) and also so typically Ducky that he would latch onto the epi pen issue and feel guilty.

Terrific touch of the healed lungs as a gift and then that final gift of being able to hear each others' thoughts and control it... beautiful final image too of the spirit and the foxes, truly beautiful... now will the reading of the thoughts go over into fox land I wonder? I'm assuming it does and would make their communication easier... loved the calling of it 'fox time' like it's their play time and already an accepted part of their lives... again such a Tony influence as I doubt Gibbs on his own would indulge as often?

For a premise I would have never been interested in, I have to say that I adore this series! Entering this world you created is like going through the closet door to Narnia. Just awesome! I can't wait to visit it again.

I do not care what universe you write in just keep it up. With your easy reading style and creative and fresh ideas and view point, even having to read back a chapter or 2 to keep plot straight in your mind is no problem. I have added your stories to a short list of things to read when life sucks. I appreciate the time and effort you spend to create for us. Thanks for sharing. I hope to be able to read your things for a long time.
