The quiet falling back together, the reassurance of his presence helping her sleep, helping her find a safe zone in which to testify. The economy of your language, the details conveyed by single words (like her "asking incessantly about his ex-wife, his kids") to give us more than one would expect from such a short piece, is truly excellent. |

The sensory details, especially in the bedroom, are powerfully chosen and the security of that scenario contrasted with the tension of the courtroom is outstanding. |
