Been working my way through your WIPs, and I think this is my favorite so far, which is saying something bc I'm only kinda familiar w parts of DGM! There's a pretty tight pace to this fic that I've really been enjoying! Favorite parts: Rye pulling wallet after wallet from her person like Elizabeth Swann divesting herself of weapons in that Pirates of the Carribean movie (I laughed really hard!); literally every scene with Tyki but esp the beach scene where he's like 'did this chick just seriously swan-dive into the ocean and die right in front of me?'; that Shelly now has a name bc as soon as Shelly got a name I went I LOVE YOU; Lavi falling asleep on Rye; Lavi and Rye's dynamic in general; the running gag of 'like the bread?'; Rye's burgeoning friendship with Kanda; everyone trying to make friends with Rye first; HENRY! ; the frikkin sea cucumber. Lots of great details, and it all moves forward so nicely! Rye has some good moments of analysis of some of the greater movements of the story but doesn't get bogged down with too much introspection or her overwrought tragic back story lol. So excited to see what happens next! Thanks for writing!

You really have a knack for fleshing out original characters! I came here after reading Memoirs of a Suicidal Pirate and falling in love with Hoku and now here I am, also deeply in love with Rye, haha. More than just developing your own characters, you also have such a sense for the other characters in these stories. You portray them all with clear love and understanding. I'm particularly blown away by how you've written Tyki. There's such life to him... I think you write him better than any author I've seen apart from Hoshino herself. I'm excited to see where you'll take this!

I luv u for creating this story, its one of the best, if not THE best d gray man oc story I have ever read.
Frankly, i have to ship rye and kanda becuz one's a, though abit oblivious but nevertheless, precious fluff ball and the other's the protective, fierce yet gentle lotus bud, they just complement each other so much, my heart is beating strongly for this ship.
I like tyki and Allen but like kanda just stands out, like the sole rising pillar to heaven among other pillars.

This story is just too f-ing awesome. Rye is just so bad*ss with a hard edge but still a kind heart. I love the odd friendship between her and Kanda, definitely a kinship there. With her Innocence, they should call her the Blood Exorcist.

This is SO GOOD, I just love how they’re all characterized and omg Rye slowly bonding with all of them is so cute
