You did it again XD Honestly, I never expected him to just go full truth to Hiruzen like that. You keep just jerking the floor out from under my expectations! This kind of thing is something I always mutter. Just tell them! And he did! And he has a point. Just because he knows he's the fox now, doesn't erase the 10 years he grew up as a human. It just puts everything in a weird perspective.

I realized I got this far and didn't leave a comment. So! Overall comment: This is simply brilliant. Kurama being the man character, Kurama in the place and role of Naruto. Such a simple idea but what an amazing story it led to! And you have a way of making ever so small seeming changes to the canon events that are just enough to throw the expectations of a reader off. Chunin exam? Sure, just have Anko, not Ibiki XD

But what reminded me to comment: I know it's setting and everything, but everyone is upset at 'Naruto' letting Ino be exposed to the fox, but no one lets this be a lesson to Ino about the dangers of attempting to invade a powerful mind. Alas XD

It's been 5 years since you last updated. This was one of my favorite naruto stories, so it really is a shame that you haven't updated it. Notheless, it was a great story to reread for the 12th time or so (I almost always notice something new within each reread). Thank you for all the efforet you put to bring this story to the point it is at now!

Hmm yeah so far it is like reading almost canon Naruto with a name change, Kurama isnt supposed to be this friendly, social and easygoing.

The development with Sasuke is interesting, his thought about how to approach his goals have taken an interesting turn after learning about Naruto's situation. I like that he hasn't gotten soft as I was beginning to think. He is still intent on accomplishing his goals, but has shown enough empathy and theory of mind to put himself in Naruto's situation and learn something useful from the experience.

Interesting, the reveal to Hinata happened sooner than I thought (I was assuming he would have revealed his status when they gathered all together to train, then when he told his team-mates later, I assumed that that meant that he wouldn't tell Hinata for the time being). Nice interaction, I like how her change isn't instantaneous, but happens gradually over multiple interactions.

I think that I never saw this method of having them transform into Naruto before. I must say that is was really an interesting and intelligent way for them to understand the situation fist hand -the would be *literally* walking a mile in his shoes-. I have a small quip about Sasuke's bit about Itachi. As far as he knows, the village didn't "let Itachi get away with" what he did, he escaped and is now a nukenin. As for Naruto's thoughts of telling hem, or anyone, what he is... why would he ever want to do that? It's simply a course of action with only downsides, an no advantages, not to mention something completely idiotic with predictable consequences. But besides that, why would even want them to know that about him, ever? Let alone all cons and no pro aspect of the situation, I simply can't fathom a reason he would want, or be inclined, to advertise that in the first place.

I was half expecting him to take the chance to reveal his Jinchuriki status to his team plus Hinata there.

I must say that it would have probably been a good idea to bring up the fact that Kyubi was manipulated by Madara (or another Uchia), rather than being mysterious. It would have probably helped his case and redirected attention.
