Cool story. I'd never even heard of gunbuster before, so it was cool getting a small taste of a new fandom. I'm always a fan of stupidly OP Taylor, so this was right up my alley. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. I really enjoyed reading this story. I actually don't know anything about Gunbuster, but I think I might check it out. I always find stories with overwhelming power interesting and I think you did a really good job making it still fit in the universe and still have Taylor be recognizable.

POV problems. "We/us" became "they/them". This isn't the first time.

And again, Taylor is wildly OOC. She wouldn't just stand there quietly waiting to be annihilated by bomb after bomb. This is a Taylor-in-name-only, and I hate that.

I really wanted to finish this. But every single chapter finds new realms of SOD to overstress. I just don't buy any of this and it's not worth going on for another 30 chapters.

"To" - "too". More than one instance.

Also, this is what they laughingly call a "plan"? Skitter had better plans on her first few outings. Again, it appears that the storyboard is forcing moves from frame to frame, but there's no actual "story" between the frames or holding them together. "Talk to Piggot. Talk to Militia. Go fight Lung again." It's so choppy and empty. Taylor's barely even a character 14 chapters in, and she's the one we've followed the most. This is 1/3 of the way through the story and I still feel completely unengaged. I'll give it another chapter or two to pick up, but I don't have a lot of hope at this point.

This entire chapter was dumb. There's no reason that Taylor has to give Piggot authority over her in order to be briefed. In fact, Piggot already HAS the authority, on her own, to brief anyone she wants. She works with New Wave regularly and in no way do they give her authority. This is exactly the kind of thing I mentioned in my last review; characters are totally OOC and it doesn't make sense.

Since this keeps coming up in recommended reading lists, I'm trying it again, and having the same problems as I did two years ago. The scenes are choppy, barely held together. It's more like a storyboard than a fully realized story. Characters act so stupid that it's a wonder they manage to keep breathing. I mean, Clockblocker freezing an UNAFFILIATED cape who's not sure she wants anything to do with the Wards, on a recruiting trip?! How fucking stupid is that?

Worse, the incorrect word usage every few paragraphs really has me wondering why nobody seems to know how to use automated checkers in this day and age. "Then" is not the same as "than", for example. Putting this single chapter into Microsoft Word would find dozens of errors, but writers never seem to bother. It's infuriating.

On the plus side, it looks like at least on this site the story is complete, and that's saying something. If I can push through my general annoyance it might be fun, but I'm getting annoyed every few paragraphs! It's gonna be rough. At this point, I wouldn't recommend this story to anyone.

Great fic so far, looking forward to reading more
