I don't recall whether or not Ash forgot Pidgeot in canon. I figured that the show didn't cover him retrieving her simply because it would've been pointless and the audience should assume either A) he got her or B) she wanted to be released.

Honestly, my previous comments were over the top for entertainment, they are not TRULY real issues of the story. What you really need is exposition and a whole lot of it, your 3 month training is basically skin and bones and all your training montages is basically copy paste of the 3 month training. His battle style is still the same straightforward attacks with a lil twist at the end but really what this story needs is detail, detail in certain parts that are extremely important. We know he learnt how to cook but we haven't seen jack on what he can make besides oran berry sandwiches, we know he did some physical training himself but all we've seen is him walking around, make him jump up a tree to look around the area or something, we know he's been training for 3 months straight and all we've seen is the basic moves the pokemon learns, counter shield and damned iron tail. Details, details, details. Exposition, exposition, exposition.

For a group of pokemon that have trained for 3 months straight, their battle style is pretty rigid and basic. Honestly, iron tails galore

WHAT THE HELL, WHAT THE LITERAL HELL?! you evolved pikachu... YOU EVOLVED PIKACHU! Raichu is trash! Raichu is literally trash! Alolan Raichu, he is good, he's got some legit skills but Raichu itself is trash! But why would you evolve pikachu in the first place? Give him a Light Ball! A pikachu only item that literally doubles attack and ! Pikachu would then smack raichu back and forth on the battlefield to kingdom come but if you absolutely had to evolve him than you should have evolved him into alolan raichu oh my lord normal raichu is trash

Okay, I’ll be honest, I was hoping the Mary-Sue was going to die in a fire, but... nope, still hoping that.

One thing, I know it may be nitpicking but can you please have Ash call his Mother ‘mom’ and not ‘mum’ as it is just really weird and slightly irritating to hear and read that as while I know you may be used to British styled words like I myself am it’s just odd and not quite right to hear Ash say stuff like that.

This is just me doing a re-read of this story btw, so I had to use a guest review to make it work since I reviewed it before.

I hope you will choose to continue this story as it's the one I am following opposed to the other oneI find Journey stories by far more interesting than betrayed ash/ tournaments first. So my vote would go to this one!
