I couldn't decide whether to smile or be upset, so I did a bit of both.

It tugged on my heartstrings in a way not much else can, and that's good. I really...really loved it.

While I feel this would've been better in third-person point of view, it was still a very lovely oneshot. I really liked it!

OH MY GOSH THAT WAS SO GOOD. I almost cried at the end. I don't know if that was the effect you were going for, but I felt it was SO bittersweet I just. Ugh.

I really love this type of writing, where there's interjected little segments of thoughts and anecdotes and stuff and you have to understand the meaning by yourself. It's not just all laid out for you.
