Yang stands up on her tippy toes, trying to reach the little worn out brown book from the shelf. Her fingers are just able to touch the binding, which is starting to fall off with its old age. The book the young blonde is trying to reach is one of her favorites. It is a story about a young man, who is trying to stop the forces of evil from taking over the world. On top of this burden that has been placed on him, he must also keep watch and protect his younger brother from harm.

Her toes getting tired, Yang is finally able to wrap her fingers around the book. Her lilac eyes light up with joy as she brings the book down from the shelf. She turns on her heels, and walks over to the couch. She jumps on it, sits down crossed-legged, and places the little book on her lap. The once white pages are starting to turn a yellow brown in color. It doesn't matter to the young girl. Even with the book starting to fall apart, she picks up from where she had last left off.

Our hero is now faced with a difficult decision. Should he stay on the path of light and justices, in order to save the world and its people, but at the risk of the death of his beloved brother? Or should he turn his back on all what he thinks is right, and walk the path of evil, hoping that not only can he save his brother, but somehow, the world at the same time?

Yang stops reading when she hears the door to the living room creak open. She can also hear snuffling. Yang turns her head to see her six year old younger sister, Ruby, standing in the doorframe, some tears coming down her face. Her small frame is covered in nicks, cuts, and bruises.

"Y-Yang." Ruby sniffles out. Her sister jumps off of the couch, the book falling to the hardwood floor in the process, and runs over to Ruby. She wraps her arms around her, pulling her sister into a warm embrace, before looking down at Ruby.

"What happen to you Ruby? I though that you where at your friend's house! Why are you all beat up?" Yang questions Ruby.

Ruby looks up and sniffs before she speaks. "I-I was! I was at Lizzy's house and saw it was getting late. So I thought it was time to go home. I was walking back, like I always do since she lives a few houses away, when Roy and his friends came out of nowhere!"

"You mean those bullies who pick on anyone that they please? What did they want?"

"I don't know!" Ruby whines. "I-I think that they just wanted someone to pick on, and I just happened to be there."

Yang takes a deep breath and sighs, brushing away some of Ruby's black-red hair from her tear stained face. Roy is a locally bully, a few years older than Yang, who seems to love picking on people, especially those who cannot defend themselves. "Come on kiddo. Let's get you washed up."

Ruby looks at her sister with her silver eyes. Yang is smiling. "Okay." She sniffs out.

Yang leads Ruby to the bathroom. Ruby sits down on a red stool by the sink as Yang rummages around the closets. Yang pulls out a white first aid kit, and walks over to her sister. She takes out some wipes and bandages. "This might hurt a bit." Yang informs before putting a wipe on one of Ruby's cuts.

The younger girl jumps when the wipe touches her wound. "Ow! That stings!" Ruby says.

"I know it does Ruby, that just means it is working." Yang continues to use the wipes to clean her sister's wounds. "There we go, all clean." Yang starts to bandage the wounds, using a mix of band-aids and white bandages.

"Hey Yang, where is Dad?" Ruby asks.

"He just went out to town quickly to get some food for dinner. With Mom out on that business trip, he seemed to have forgotten we need food." Both she and Ruby chuckle at their father's forgetfulness. "He should be back soon."

"I hope whatever he gets, it is nice! I'm starving."

"I'm sure he will get something good for us." Yang replies as she finishes dressing the wounds. Once her sister is all patched up, Yang puts the first aid kit back in its spot in the closet. Ruby follows her as she goes back into the living room. Yang picks up her fallen book, and sits back down on the couch.

"Want me to read to you?" She asks.

Ruby nods and sits down next to her sister. She puts her head on Yang's shoulder. Holding the book in her right hand, and petting her sister's head with her left, Yang reads.

"Our hero decides to join the forces of evil. He knows that by doing so, his brother will stay safe. He also know that now his younger brother is going to have to take on his role; having the burden of stopping evil forces from taking over. He hopes, though, that one day he can go back to the forces of light, and reunite with his beloved brother."

The book ends there. Yang turns to see Ruby, sleeping. Yang kisses Ruby on the forehead. She sighs. She looks out the window, into the ate spring afternoon, and narrows her eyes.

Watch it Roy. You don't harm my sister. She thinks to herself.

"HEY YANG! WAKE UP! WE DON'T WANT TO BE LATE FOR CLASS, NOW DO WE?" Ruby's voice loudly echo's in Yang's head. With a moan, Yang opens her eyes. She sees the upper half of her sister's body leaning on the edge of her bed.

"What time is it?" Yang asks groggily.

"Eight. Class starts in an hour. Weiss and Blake left already." Ruby grins.

"Shit." Yang mumbles and jumps off of her bed. She walks into the bathroom.

"What were you dreaming about?" Ruby innocently asks.

"Huh?"

"Before I woke you up, you looked really happy. What were you dreaming about?"

Yang spits out some cinnamon toothpaste before responding. "That time when we were kids, and you came home all beaten up because of Roy."

"I remember that. Why would you be smiling over that?"

"Because afterwards, I had read to you and you fell asleep on me. You looked so cute when you were sleeping." Yang gleefully says, wrapping her arm around Ruby's neck. Her sister lets out of a choking noise. Yang lets go.

"Do you still have that book you read to me that day?" Ruby inquires, rubbing her neck.

"I do, somewhere. Why? Do you want me to read it to you again?"

"No thanks. I was just wondering if you still had it, that's all."

"Well, if you ever do want me to read it to you again, tell me and I will find the book. Anyway, let me finish getting dress so we can go to class. We don't want to be late, now do we?"

"Nope."

I took my brother's laptop to start the rewriting. As I said, it will stay mostly the same, with some edits. It will take some time to get all chapters rewritten.
