Cirno had really outdone herself this time. She had planned her best prank yet, everything was all planned out. She had gotten up early and executed the plan with perfect precision. Well, there was only one step and it wasn't really all that complicated, but that didn't make Cirno any less proud.

Reimu would wake up, fix herself some tea, and when she went outside to start her day she would be too tired to notice the ice that coated the bottom of her doorway. She'd take a step, and then-

Bam! A first class trip straight to the floor! That'd teach her to... uh... huh. Well, whatever. Why get all specific? Reimu would learn her lesson for whatever it is she did. Nothing could go wrong. Cirno patiently waited in the bushes and soon enough Reimu's door flung open. She yawned and took a step. It all seemed to happen in slow motion. Cirno could see her eyes widen. Her head flung back as she wildly flailed her arms. And finally: Whack!

...

"Pbbfftt!" Cirno slapped her hands over her mouth. If Reimu heard her then she knew she wouldn't be making it out of here alive. Chancing a look, she saw Reimu was still on the ground. She wasn't moving at all. She was still. Too still.

Cirno waited and waited, but Reimu wouldn't get up. Slowly, a feeling of dread ran though her. Why wasn't she moving?

"Reimu?" she called out. Nothing happened.

"Reimu!?" Why wasn't she moving? Why wasn't she moving? Cirno got up and ran over to Reimu, nearly tripping over her own trap.

"Reimu! Reimu!" Cirno yelled her name over and over, shook her as much as she could, but she wouldn't wake up no matter what she did.

'Reimu...' She won't wake up. Cirno could feel tears running down her face. Reimu was dead.

She would never solve another incident in one fell swoop like only she could, she would never complain about the lack of donations, she would never call her an idiot and ruffle her hair, she would never be able to smile, ever again and it was all her fault.

Everyone was right about her, she thought. She was an idiot. A dumb, stupid idiot. She was so lost in her grief, she didn't notice Reimu begin to stir.

'Damn. What hit me?' Reimu held her head and sat up. Someone was crying.

"Cirno?" As soon as she heard her name, the ice fairy froze. She looked up and saw Reimu's face, her eyes brimming with concern. Reimu wasn't dead. Suddenly Cirno felt incredibly silly. As if a little tumble like that could kill Reimu. She tried to let out a laugh, but a strangled sob came out instead.

"Reimu!" Cirno flung herself at the shrine maiden and wrapped her arms around her as tight as she could. She buried her face in her neck and cried.

"Cirno, what's wrong?" Reimu had never seen the normally cheerful fairy act like this. Something had to be terribly wrong. And how did she end up on the floor anyway?

"I thought you died!" the fairy cried. Dead? Reimu noticed a little glint at her doorway. Suddenly, everything made sense. She tried to make herself get upset but the sound of the small fairy's cries stopped anything of the sort before it could begin. A small smile made it's way on to the shrine maiden's face.

"Cirno... You idiot." She wrapped her arms around the fairy and laughed. Hearing some footsteps, Reimu looked up and saw her best friend, Marisa Kirisame approaching.

"Hey guys, what's going o-wah!" Thud!

...

"Pbfthahahahahaha!"

I think this might be the corniest thing ever. Leave a review or favorite. Just something to let me know it not terrible.
