Well, hello, everyone! So that's only a short something I was thinking about for a little bunch of time! Actually, I was looking how to show you how I was seeing Reid's behaviour and finally I got this idea! I hope it's not too bad and that you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

In the team, they have a no profiling rule. And everyone tries to respect it. They really do. But when you have, like David Rossi, helped to create the B.A.U. and worked in that branch for almost 25 years, it kind of gets in your skin and you can't but do it non-stop. Even JJ, who officially was a profiler for only about four years did it.

That said, the team knew each other more than a group of friends, or even a family usually knows each others.

(And shit happens in my off-screen fantasies too, but that a load of other stories.)

So there is a lot of things they would never admit aloud to each other, but they sort of do in everyday's little gestures.

Spencer Reid is a hell of a complicated man. But for Rossi, he's like an open book.

He knows that Spencer is rambling random facts and statistics because he is afraid of silence, just like he is afraid of darkness. He fear that if he thinks too long without saying anything, other voices will be added to his own in his head and he won't be able to do anything about it.

He knows that even if it has been many years, Reid still struggle with his addiction. He knows that when the genius pour himself a fifth cup of coffee and licks his lips like he is dehydrated, it's because he is craving.

Rossi knows that when the team go on the field and they have to go in a dark place, Reid always stick only a few inches closer to his partner because of his fear of inherent absence of light.

He knows that Spencer never get openly annoyed or snappy about something because the only time he did was with Prentiss when he was in withdrawal.

He knows that Reid wears that purple scarf when he feels homesick because it's the last christmas gift before he joined the B.A.U. and it's still really comfortable and soft.

David also knows that when Reid show up at work with his glasses on his nose, it's not because of his allergies, like he loves to tell everyone, it's because he stayed up all night with a book, probably because he was suffering from yet again insomnia episode.

He knows that the kid never cut his hair himself. When Reid has a new haircut, as gruesome as it might be, it's always fresh from the hairdresser. And most of the times, Spencer keeps his hair mid-length because it doesn't look neglected or doing on a fly like most of the mentally-hill often do.

He knows that when Reid leans too much on his elbow, rub his eyes or run his hand too often in his hair, it's because he's got one of his headache he try to keep from everyone.

He knows that Spencer never sleep completely in the jet because he's afraid he will wake up with a start and someone will notice the nightmare he just made.

But most of all, David Rossi knows that when Spencer stop talking without being focused on a case, something is really really wrong. Because a Spencer Reid too caught in his own mind is a Spencer Reid bothered by something personal really bad.

Well, that turned out pretty angsty toward the end, but... I might or might not do a sequel to it about the last statement if you give me idea for it! Please be sure to review, because reviews are kind of my only social life lately!
