Chapter 22

Kyoya, Yoshiho, Saya, and Ayako were walking back home from school.

"Finally It's winter brake!" Saya exclaimed while she skipped around the sidewalk.

"I've been waiting for this day." Ayako chimed in joining Saya.

"Too bad our teachers had to stack us with homework." Yoshiho said, causing Ayako to stop.

She sulked as she walked.

"I'm literally drowning in them. Saya you are so lucky."

In fact Saya had no homework for Christmas brake.

She smiled.

"I'm a lucky girl." She said in a bright smile.

"It seems like its going to snow pretty soon, we should hurry home." Kyoya announced.

The gang made their way home quickly.

"How was the last day?" Mika asked them as they took their shoes and coat off.

"Good." They all announced at the same time.

Mika smiled.

"Would guys all like some hot chocolate, Kasumi brought some today for the all of you."

Their faces lit up.

"Yes!" They all said excitedly.

"What do you mean you and Nabiki are fighting? Why would you out of all people fight with anyone?" Akane was in the tea room with Kasumi.

" Akane I didn't want to fight but you know how Nabiki can be. The reason why we are having a dispute is over you actually."

"Me?" Akane questioned.

Kasumi nodded and continued talking.

"You see, your sister wants to expose your brain to some kind of treatment since she believes it can bring your memory quicker. But I told her it is best for you to slowly remember on your own. I know Nabiki has good intentions, but she believes money is the answer to everything.

Akane nodded.

At that point the kids walked in.

"Hey mom, hey aunty Kasumi." Saya and Yoshiho greeted.

"Why hello there, my you both have grown." Kasumi said with a gentle smile plastered on her face.

"How was the last day?" Akane asked them.

"Good." They all said again as they sat down while Mika brought in a mug for everyone.

"I'm actually going to be leaving, thanks for having me." Kasumi said as she politely bowed down.

"I'm worried."

"About Kasumi and Nabiki?" Ranma asked while he trained.

"Yeah, they have never fought. And now there fighting over me." Akane sighed.

Ranma stopped and looked over at his wife.

"Akane don't blame yourself for this. It's not your fault that you lost your memory."

"I guess your right." Akane smiled.

"You guess?" Ranma teased, causing her to laugh.

Akane had decided to meet Kasumi and Nabiki at a coffee shop since she wanted to fix things. As she walked she spotted the two of them arguing on the sidewalk, people were beginning to stare at them.

"The treatment is going to help her! Why wont you listen to me!"

"Nabiki you are being senseless at the moment! Akane doesn't need such a thing, shes been recovering on her own."

"And it's been taking a few months just for her to remember two things."

They were so busy arguing that they did not notice their little sister standing next to them.

"Please guys don't fight. It's my choice anyway." Akane tried to stop them, but failed miserably.

The two sisters kept going while Akane tried again.

"Kasumi!Nabiki!Stop!"

At that point Nabiki subconsciously pushed Akane, causing her to fall on the street.

It all went so fast. Akane did not have the time to react and jump out the way. A car hit her straight on.

"Akane!" Kasumi and Nabiki both yelled.

"Akane please hang on!" Kasumi yelled as she held her sister.

"I'm sorry I did not see her." The man driving announced.

"Don't just stand there call an ambulance!" Nabiki yelled at the man.

"Akane I'm so sorry." Nabiki told her sister as she pressed on Akane's wound.

For Akane everything went dark. The last thing she could hear was her name being called.

Akane woke up and looked around herself.

"Am I back home?"

She was in fact in the tea room. She looked down and noticed she had no wounds on her body.

"Where is everyone?"

The house seemed to be empty except for her in it. Akane walked to where the Koi pond was and she noticed something strange. It was a red door. She went close to it and looked behind it, but the door was not connecting to anything. It was a floating door. As she went to open it someone behind her spoke.

"I wouldn't do that dear."

Akane jumped.

She turned around and saw a beautiful lady with short black hair. She was dressed in a beautiful white kimono.

"Why not?" Akane asked as she looked at the lady and then back at the door.

"Because your to young to see the other side."

Akane was beginning to get mad at the woman.

'How am I to young?' She thought.

The woman smiled and Akane lost her anger. There was something about this woman that made her feel calm and safe.

The woman pat the spot on the patio.

"Come Akane, sit."

'How does she know my name?' But akane did not question the Lady.

"Why am I here?"

"Don't worry you are safe with me here. I would like to show you a few things."

The woman pointed towards the Koi pond and Akane was in shock at what she saw. It was her. She looked to be four maybe five. She was playing with a ball with Kasumi. There was also someone else but they looked more like a shadow than a person. The images kept changing and changing. She saw everything that has happened in her life so far.

"What is the meaning of this?" She asked as she watched the moment she got hit by the car.

"Am I dead?"

"You tell me Akane? Do you want to be dead?" The woman asked her

"Akane!" She could hear someone calling her, but who was it.

"Akane!" The voiced called out again.

"I know this voice." She said as she tried to place a face on it.

"Ranma!" She called out.

"What is you answer?"

Akane looked at the woman and shook her head.

"No, I'm not dead."

The woman smiled as a tear dropped down her cheek.

"Then wake up Akane."

"Wake up Akane"

"Wake up."

The words kept echoing in her head.

Akane opened her eyes and noticed she was laying in a hospital bed. She looked around the room and felt heavy. She looked down and noticed Ranma was sitting on a chair and his head was on the bed. He was sleeping.

"Ranma." Akane said as she shook him gently, causing him to slowly wake up.

"Akane! Oh thank god your awake." Ranma hugged his wife tightly.

"I don't know what I would do with out you."

Akane hugged him back and that's when she realized something.

"I remember."

Ranma looked down at his wife.

"What are you talking about?"

Akane smiled.

"I remember everything." She exclaimed.

Yoshiho and Saya walked in and when they noticed their mom was awake they ran to her.

"Mom."

"Mommy."

Both the kids exclaimed.

"I remember guys, my memory is back."

A few days had passed but Akane was now home with her family. Nabiki and Kasumi had made up and apologized to Akane for what they had done.

"We promise we will never fight again." Both of the sisters assured Akane.

Akane smiled.

"I'm happy." She said as she grouped hugged Nabiki and Kasumi.

Yoshiho and his friends had set up some fire works.

"He's mine!" Hana exclaimed as she grabbed Yoshiho's right arm.

"No he's mine!" Xia Ling said as she grabbed his left arm.

"Some things never change." Saya said while Kyoya and Ayako agreed.

Everyone began the count down to the new year.

"Ten!Nine!"

"Happy New Year!" Everyone exclaimed as the fire works went up into the sky.

Akane and Ranma watched the sky before turning to each other.

"Happy New Year Akane."

"Happy New Year Ranma."

And at that they kissed.

The End
