I'll hold you here with me, and kiss you sweetly.
Increasing, intently, deepening the kiss with each shot I got I never miss.
Because I know this is the last time to let us forget that we have to split.
So give me one taste of the sweet life that deep inside.
Pull back I see crystals in your eyes
Baby, please don't cry.
I wish it was all lies.
At least it's not for life.
That's why I beg you, baby, don't please cry.
Dave turned his head away from the lyrics he just wrote down, to look around his room. It was deserted, the poster he had hung on the walls were all removed leaving the feeling of emptiness. His eyes held no pleasure that he was to move back to Texas with his Brother, Dirk. "I guess good things have to end…sometimes," Dave said bitterly.
Sighing, he got off his lazy ass to pack the last things he had left in this void. It was a picture of his friends, Rose, Jade, and John all playing in at waterpark. Picking the picture, he began to reminisce of his class trip to the waterpark. He had yet to make a friend, and after being at that school for a year-and-a-half, he still felt like the new kid on the block.
The bus was packed with loud laugher, conversations, and last but not less kids with just few adults. Dave had sat next to the window in the middle of the bus, his ears tuning out all the sounds around him. He had his head turn towards the window, watching the teacher scramble around to see if they have everyone and everything. He was so in tune with watching them he didn't hear the boy next to him sit down and speak, until the boy poked him in the cheek. Dave turned his head to see what was bothering him.
"Earth to the kid with the cool anime shades," the boy beckoned.
"What?" Dave murmured
"Oh… well I just want to introduce myself to my new seat buddy," the boy quipped happily.
Silences held Dave.
The boy shifted a bit and cleared his throat, "My name is John Egbert, what's yours?"
Empty silence surrounds Dave, but only a stare answers John.
"Come on... it's not like your name can be embarrassing," John eyes widen, "Don't tell me it is, because you know that my name is kind of embarrassing. Considering that people can easy make fun of it, but I'm not embarrassed by it-"
"Dave"
"wha-"
"My name's Dave"
"Last name?"
" Strider… why?"
"Because I just want to get to know you," John smiled.
Dave looked a bit taken back and looks away from John's blue hues. On that day, he finally had found friends, John the blue-eyed, buck-toothed, messy black haired boy, Jade, the slightly messy black haired, green-eyed, buck-toothed girl, and Rose the short haired, purple-eyed girl. All in one packed deal. All in one fucking day, he felt like a boss.
Dave lets out a quite chuckle, "After that I was basically committed to them."
"Lil man, come on and get your ass in the car…or we are going to be later for the going away party at John's house. And it's much better if you confess your love to someone in person. Not being a fuckin' creep talkin' to a picture. I mean, look how pathetic you look," Dirk smirks.
"Bro, the only reason you are in a rush is because you want to fuck with Jake."
"Damn straight, now hurry your ass up. Before I decide to tie your ass to the roof of the car," Dirk remarked with a smirk. And before Dave could reply Dirk was already out of the room.
"…Elusive bastard…"Dave push a hand though his hair. Then grabbed everything have left in his room and headed for the door. Turning back only to sigh because he knew once he turns off the lights, everything memory he gather there would always stay there.
A new place,
Where people don't know me
A new face,
where I'll slowly forget you, as you slowly forget me.
