A/N: Ahhh, I'm really nervous about this. I am literally only posting this for my best friend, because she really wanted me to. I've never read any MakoHaru fan fic, and I've only been into Free! for about three or two weeks now, so this is kind of...well, it's not that great. But after finishing it, I was completely in love with the pairings, and I just kinda...did this. So I hope you like it! Please review, and fave! Thank you all so much!
His blue eyes widened, pitch black pupils dilating.
Did he hear that correctly?
His heart raced, and it was hard for him to form words at the moment, just suddenly being hit with the sentence his best friend had said but seconds ago.
"You...like me?" Haru asked, his eyes moving away from his friend, a hint of color coming onto his cheeks.
They sat alone in Makoto's room. His other family members were gone, and the two of them had been, and still were, the only people in the house.
The taller boy nodded, smiling ever so genuinely, as he always did. "Yes."
Haruka looked down even further. He had never had anyone say it to him. Even if he knew of other girls or guys who liked him, only Makoto had ever down right told him his feelings.
Makoto swallowed thickly, watching the way he was taking things. Did he scare him, did he think it was strange? Worrisome thoughts trailed throughout his head.
"I'm sorry, Haru...I didn't mean to make things bad…" he said.
"No, it's fine," Haru replied, shaking his head, "I just don't know what to say...that's all."
Makoto knew that that was usually a bad sign when one said 'I just don't know what to say'. He knew he had messed up big time, and the thought of the consequences this may have was starting to make his heart ache.
"Oh, I see. Just forget I-"
His words were interrupted as Haru gently leaned over, and pressed his lips on his ever so softly. They were much more delicate and plump than Makoto had imagined. Warmer, too.
Haru pulled away, showing a rare, but small hint of a smile. A lovely blush came to his cheeks, and Makoto was sure that he must have had a similar flush to his cheeks as well.
"I...um...I like you too." Haru told him, looking to Makoto with turquoise eyes, that showed a tad bit of embarrassment in them.
Makoto began to uncontrollably grin, and he hesitated a minute before he went in for another kiss, just to be safe.
A/N: Ughgghgh, I am so sorry. I am so, so, so sorry. God, I feel like an idiot publishing this. It's not too good, and I just feel bad about it. Ellen, if you're reading this, I only published it for you. Anyways, if you made it through, thank you for reading. I deeply appreciate it!
