A/N: SO here is the final chapter….I hope you have enjoyed. If there are any other stories that you would like me to write please PM me. I don't own Prince of Tennis
Yagyuu had heard about all the failures of his teammates. He was slightly disappointed, he had thought at least one of the three demons would keep the tour guide position. His mother had been bugging him to get a part time job telling him that it would teach him responsibility. At first he didn't know which job to take, but then Yukimura was fired and he thought, ' Why not? Maybe I'll be the one to keep the tour guide position out of all of us.' So after tennis practice that day he went to the museum and walked to the front desk. The receptionist pushed a button frantically when she saw the young man coming and continued pushing it until Matsumoto came out to see what was going on.
"What the…. Oh hello there young man may I help you?" She asked politely albeit tiredly when she saw another young man standing in front of you.
"I wanted to apply for a position as a tour guide," Yagyuu informed her.
"You're hired. With the luck we have had lately I am not going to make you waste my time with an application and interview. Can you start right now?" Miyabi asked very tiredly.
"Yes ma'am I am able to do that," Yagyuu stated politely, he was a gentleman after all.
"Great I'll get you a nametag and introduce you to Minamoto. I'll be right back."
Yagyuu stood patiently with his hands clasped while the lady went to get whatever materials he would need. The first woman came back with another smaller woman that didn't look the least bit happy.
"Hello there I am Minamoto and I will be training you," Minamoto growled at Yagyuu.
"A pleasure to meet you ma'am. I am looking forward to training with someone as experienced as yourself."
"Come with me and we will greet the new tour that is coming."
Yagyuu followed the seemingly cranky lady to the group that had approached and was surprised when she greeted them with a friendly smile. She then had Yagyuu introduced himself and the group was off around the museum to see the wonders that it held.
Minamoto liked this kid more than the others that had accompanied her. He was quiet and polite, a true gentleman and just what she was looking for in a tour guide. He simply observed and didn't ask too many questions. They got to the end of the tour and Minamoto said goodbye to the tour group and hoped they would come again. She told Yagyuu to do the same and then they both went back to the reception desk.
"So what did you think?" Minamoto asked handing him a bottle of water. He politely accepted and took a sip before responding.
"I think that you are very good at what you do. I found the tour interesting and informative. I got the gist of things and was wondering if I could try the next tour? With your permission of course ma'am."
Yagyuu watched as her eyes grew wider and her mouth pressed into a line until her lips were almost completely invisible. Yagyuu was about to ask what was wrong when suddenly Yagyuu was about to ask what was wrong when suddenly the woman started to yell.
"YOU TEENAGERS THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING DON'T YOU?! SURE GO AHEAD GIVE THE TOUR YOURSELF! IN FACT I HAVE A BETTER IDEA. WHY DON'T YOU JUST TAKE MY JOB!" Minamoto shrieked throwing her nametag at Yagyuu. She stomped out of the museum and just before she left she looked back and screamed, "I QUIT!"
"I guess she finally lost it," Miyabi said from behind Yagyuu. He started a bit and turned around.
"Ah, yes I am sorry I did not mean to set her off in any way."
"No don't worry it was bound to happen sooner or later. Anyway, do you want her job? You are more than welcome to have it. You may want to read over some of the handbooks beforehand, but if you come back tomorrow you can start to give tours. I will cover for the rest the of the day. What do you say?"
"I would be honored to take the position, thank you very much. I shall read the materials and be back here tomorrow. What time do you need me to arrive?"
"8 AM on the weekends and right after school on weekdays. You will train another person in a few weeks to take on the position of the day tour guide. Here is the information and I will see you tomorrow."
Yagyuu walked off papers in hand smiling. Not only had he beat all of his teammates in getting and keeping the job, he had also gotten promoted and all in one afternoon. He was excited to see the response of all his teammates.
A/N: So I know that chapter was a little more rushed than the others but I never planned on it to be very long. Thank you for reading and happy trails! Please review.
