Okay so I've kept this story on hold for waaaaaay too long, there are several reasons behind it and I won't go too much into all of them. Basically I've found this story to be nigh on impossible to keep updating on a regular basis and I've been having so much fun with my other stories. My decision about this story is that I'll try updating again now, but eventually the story will come to an end. I'll make a sequel built on the story that I've written so far, but it will continue a little bit differently. I don't have all the details yet. This is all quite a ways down the line so don't worry.

"Okay Natsu, what's the big rush?" Happy asked as he did his best to keep up with Natsu.

"It's something future Rogue told me. After I'd defeated him he told that one year from then Gray would kill Frosch. I don't really believe that that could happen, but I can't let Rogue go on that job if there is even the smallest possibility that it could be true. Just please don't mention this in front of Rogue, I really don't want to have to fight him right now."

"Aye sir!"

It didn't take long for them to catch up with Rogue and Minerva.

"Rogue! You have to give me that mission!" Natsu shouted at him before Rogue even realized who he was talking to.

"Natsu? What's the big idea? Can't you just get another mission from the guild hall? I'm sure Sting would let you do that even though you're not a member of the guild."

"Seriously, I don't want to have to argue with you, but it's really important that you give the mission to me. Please just trust me on this okay?" Natsu begged and held out his hand hoping that Rogue would give it to him.

"Okay, jeez, you're still the same strange guy tat you were a year ago, that's for sure." Natsu merely thanked him and shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh, for safety reasons you should probably stay in town for a while too, okay?"

"Why would I have to say in town, is there something that I should know of?"

"No!" Natsu said hastily before he managed to calm himself down. "On second thought, do as you wish, just don't go on this job."

"Lucy? Do you know what's going on?" Wendy asked back at the guild where they'd been left.

"I have no idea, I would have thought that you'd know seeing as you're his girlfriend."

"Oh, nah. Natsu does whatever he wants to most of the time so I can't figure him out at all, but that's half the fun of being with him." Wendy gave her one of her brightest smiles before her expression turned back into one of worry. "Still, this is something entirely different. One of us should follow him, just to make sure that he doesn't do anything rash."

"Okay, you do that and I'll go check up on Lisanna, okay? It'll be quicker for you anyways seeing as you have Charle with you. And you've always been better at calming him down than me." Wendy nodded and ran out the guild doors barely missing the moment when Lucy's serious expression turned into one of sadness.

"Charle, let's go, we need to catch up to Natsu and Happy fast!" Charle activated her wings magic and they both sped up flying away from the guild.

"Let's see, according to Sting, this should be the house where she lives." Lucy said standing in front of a small house at the outskirts of the town. She knocked on the door, but no one came to open. Hesitantly she opened the door, while it wasn't that rare for guild members to just walk straight into each other's houses, she didn't actually know whether or not the address sting left her was correct. When she entered the living room and noticed Lisanna sitting there staring vacantly out into space though she knew that she'd found the right house.

"Lisanna?"

"Lucy?" Lisanna asked and stood up to greet her. However, she only made it a few steps until she collapsed and fell to the floor where she laid shivering.

"Lisanna! What's wrong?" Lucy panicked rushing towards her. She put her hand on Lisanna's forehead only to discover that it was burning hot.

"Gray…" Lisanna mumbled, she no longer seemed to be aware that she was even there.

"Dammit Gray, what happened here?" Lucy thought as she helped Lisanna back to the couch where she wrapped her up in a blanket. "How could you leave someone who loves you alone like this."

"Natsu!" Wendy shouted from the air, her enhanced sense of smell had given her a pretty good hint at the general direction that Natsu was heading in, luckily it seemed he wasn't flying on Happy so at least they stood a chance at catching up if they were headed the same way. "Natsu!"

"Wendy!" she suddenly heard someone shouting from below her and signaled to Charle for her to take her down.

"Natsu, what's going on?" as she got lower down she noticed Natsu riding on a boar, the sight was interesting to say the least. He turned around to reply to her, Wendy immediately worried that he'd crash into something when he wasn't looking where he was going.

"I'm not really supposed to tell you about it, but let's just say that I'm going to get Gray back."

"Get him back? And please could you turn around again?"

"It's about something that future Rogue told me about after I beat him." Natsu continued, completely disregarding her asking him to turn around. "he said that Gray would kill Frosch, back when we were battling the leader of Tartarus he started getting these dark marks. If he's been corrupted by these that might turn him into something evil."

"So let's say that he's been turned evil, what are you going to do?" Wendy wondered.

"Gee hee," He grinned "I'm gonna beat him up!"

Okay so I'm back to this story, it's hard updating it and therefore I'm going to be going slow at the beginning, tell me what you think about this chapter. I swear the next chapters are going to get better. Anyways I hope you enjoyed it, cya!
