Guess who's back. The King of the Hive is back bitches.

Start.

The Overmind lazed upon the couch in the mess hall, Alucard was circling this ship, the Normandy without alerting any sensors, it was almost amusing when he thought about how fragile this massive hunk of metal was.

Then again, it wasn't every day current tech was tested against a giant space dragon.

Menma allowed his armour to seep back into his skin, he was garbed in a mere black bodysuit that covered most of his form, ending at his biceps and his thighs, the allowing his blue-ish skin to be revealed. His hooked and honed nails glinted dangerously in the low light.

On his head were a pair of headphones that he'd happily begun to use to block out the incessant questioning of the various humans around him "Why are you on the Ship?" they'd ask, "What do you want?" Menma just ignored them. He needed to keep an eye on Shepard, mostly to check on the womans mental state after being exposed to such a high-powered piece of tech. Well...High powered for a human brain to comprehend that's for sure. He was well aware what was going on.

Menma would be lying if he said that he wasn't concerned. In fact this filled his gut with dread, but the Overmind pushed aside the foreboding and pushed the colonization and production of his children to an all time high. He'd begun seeding the Terminus systems, a few moons here and there as well.

Earth's moon was being seeded as he sat here, it would only be a precaution, as he'd done the same with most other massively populated planets, like Thessia, Palaven and Sur'kesh. Honestly he was deeply disappointed none of his children had been found out, he assumed the security would be of higher caliber.

He was wrong unfortunately. Perhaps he needed to prod at the Council with this information, to make them heighten the strength of their borders. It mattered little in the long run, but it did also make him reconsider destroying those filthy animals, the Batarians could prove useful against the oncoming threat.

He'd have to return to Tuchanka at some point to check in on the Clan's he'd managed to gather. Clan's like Weyrlock and Urdnot were too scattered to truly be of use to him at the moment, he'd have to do something about that for sure.

Menma abruptly sat up as yet another fleshling approached him, his dusky blue skin apparently not enough to ward them off anymore, opening his amethyst eyes he was given sight of the Williams woman, she made a gesture to her ears undoubtably telling him to remove his headphones, the Overmind did so for one ear and merely gestured for her to speak.

"The Commander's awake, Captain said he wanted to speak with you. They're in the medbay." Informed Ashley, Menma stood up, towering over the woman as he did so, Ashely reflexively took a few steps back as the Overmind stalked into the medbay, sitting his headphones around his neck.

Captain David Anderson stood before Shepard, they were speaking of visions or dreams, whatever. The man was aging quite well to be perfectly honesty, whilst he did show the wrinkles of his later years his stance still spoke of a man with energy and one who believed what he did was just. Menma could respect a man of such standing, even if he did disagree with some of the Alliance's actions he couldn't fault a loyal soldier.

"You wanted to speak with me." Spoke the Overmind, slicing right through whatever conversation was going on, the Commander and the Captain whipped their heads to look at the giant that had made his way in. Menma stood with crossed arms and leant slightly on his right leg.

"Ah, thank you for finally taking some time to speak with me." Spoke Anderson, the slight trace of annoyance was audible in his voice.

"You don't need to kiss my arse, Human. We both know I have been a nuisance. I just took more pleasure in it than you." Spoke purple eyed male with a smirk on his face. Anderson's lip almost twitched into a frown.

"Cordial is the best you're getting from me Captain, speak your piece. As I have this ones mind to attend to." Said the Zerg King as he lazily gestured to Shepard.

"My 'mind'. Excuse me tall and dreary you aren't doing anything to my mind after what happened with the damned beacon." Snapped Jane, the redheads sharp gaze leveling harshly.

"I do not want to explain what you will not understand. Know that if you do not receive some form of Psionic treatment for the damage done to you by the beacon you will slowly lose your sanity. It isn't exactly a fast process but you will die because of it, so cease your stubbornness woman or I'll just force it to accelerate." Snarled Menma, crossing the room and leaning down to stare her dead in the eye.

Anderson however, didn't take kindly to threats from annoying houseguests. "Overmind I'd appreciate it if you would explain to me, what exactly you believe is wrong with the Commander. From what Shepard has said she's only had a few bad dreams." Spoke Anderson, calmly but with the authority of a bellowing beast.

"Dreams, visions, delusions. A message that starts simple enough, but with even the slightest push you will fly over the edge and plummet into the abyss." Prophesized the Overmind ominously, "Her mind is frail as of now. Like an open wound and any more interaction with mental connectivity would pollute her mind and open it like a broken jar. In layman's terms, yo brain is weak, imma fix it." Drawled Menma, as though he was speaking to infants.

Gangsta as fuck infants.

"And how exactly do you plan to fix it?" Questioned Anderson.

"The Zerg are a hive mind race. My on Psionic ability trumps that of the previous Overminds in spades, it would be a trivial matter to repair the damage done by the Prothean beacon. The only reason I'm even bothering is because you've seen it." Spoke Menma, making a chill race down Jane's spine.

"Seen what?" She questioned cautiously.

"Don't pretend around me, girl!" Snarled the Overmind, his eyes bleeding an angry red. "You know exactly what I'm talking about. The slaughter, the synthetics, the massacring of the races under this crusade of metal and blood. You've seen it, but you don't know what to think of it, you don't know what it means. If I fix you, you'll be able to comprehend it easier. Or do you want to turn feral and eat your own tongue?" Asked Menma as he once more leant down to meet the woman at eye level.

"You'll have to forgive the skepticism but why the hell should I trust you?" Snapped Jane, getting the bile out of her throat and the slight fear that iced the blood in her veins that came with just how seriously the Overmind was speaking.

"Have I given a reason as to not? I have been abrasive, yes. Have I done anything hostile towards you? I saved the life of your SPECTRE friend, protected an innocent by-stander from harm, giving you yet another witness for evidence should an investigation begin, I stopped four explosive charges from leveling Eden Prime, and then protected you from an exploding Beacon." As far as the others were concerned that is what happened, the beacon exploded as Shepard collapsed, Menma had projected this into their minds, there was no evidence to the contrary so he was well situated to lie about that one thing.

"Well...I suppose, but I'm still not convinced. How long roughly would I have if I left it untreated?" Asked Shepard.

"3-4 Years." Spoke Menma, leaning back and crossing his arms once more.

"Then give me a while to think about it. I just have to not have any mental connectivity for a while right?" Spoke the woman, Menma nodded.

"Don't go fucking an Asari and you should be fine for the time being...That ship that was on Eden Prime though...Something was...Off about it, like a ripple in the air. I cannot put my finger on it." Advised the Overmind, before looking to the side in thought.

"Is this the only reason you were on board, Overmind?" Asked Anderson.

"A possible end of the galaxy is coming, Captain. If this woman has the same imprint I have then it means I have one who understands the danger we could be facing. I will need that. As I just so happen to be a resident in the galaxy it would be senseless for me to not attempt to prepare for the worst." Spoke Menma with a shrug.

"But yes. That was my only reason for being here. if you wish me gone I will leave."

"Not just yet, I think it would be good to have you as a witness to meet the Council with us. If you aren't busy." Menma merely nodded and returned to the couch he previously occupied.

"Permission to speak freely, Sir?" Was the whisper that came from Jane. Anderson nodded, a brow raised in slight confusion.

"He scares the shit out of me." Anderson cracked a smirk at the great Saviour of Elysium being afraid of a 'Big Bug'.

Later

Menma sat in one of the free seats near the pilot, his tail out as it lazily swayed side to side, though he refused to sit normally and instead did so upside down, he did enjoy the increase of heartrate that came from the pilot whenever the bladed tail came anywhere near him.

"Holy crap look at the canon on that thing!" Came the exclamation from the soldier girl, Ashley.

"Yeah well, size isn't everything." Jabbed Joker, the pilot who strangely kept his movements to a minimum.

"Why so defensive, Joker?" Came the sly response from the brunette.

"I'm just saying weaponry isn't everything, you gotta be able to maneuver or you'll be dead in the water." Defended the pilot.

"It's giant flying hunk of metal. Ugly. Alucard on the other hand, beautiful." Chimed Menma, making the group that had formed in the cockpit pale, the space dragon's head came up on the side of ship Menma sat on, its bright eyes shining happily at the sight of its father.

"Yesh you are, who's a cutie, you are." Cooed the Overmind, the dragon's scales shimmered under the praise.

"You scare the shit out of me man." Said Joker dryly.

"Good." Spoke Menma ominously, holding a flashlight under his chin and staring at Joker with wide eyes.

"Where'd you get that?" Asked Kaiden, thoroughly confused.

"Your mother." Spoke Menma, sticking his tongue out. Kaiden looked like he bit into a lemon Shepard groaned and tugged on the waving tail, warning it not to come near her again.

"Oi." Griped the Overmind, using his tail as a counterweight he swung himself upright and stood next to the redhead, "Hit my tail will ya, we'll I'll hit your tail." He then proceeded to lay a firm smack on her rear end, making the woman stand straight as and arrow before glaring at him dangerously.

"I'm a different species you don't know what my tail means to me, racist." Accused Menma, poking her shoulder, Shepard grimaced, "It's basically just another weapon but then again so is yours, so we're even." He grinned showing off the razor teeth he had in his skull, Shepard rolled her eyes and kicked him in the shin.

"We're gonna be great friends."

"Someone's in a good mood." Spoke Revan, amusement clear in his voice.

"Moodswings really. Just you watch, as if by magic, when I see the council I'll return to the Ice Lord I love to portray." Replied Menma, smirking visibly.

"Ugh, you're such a woman. 'Mood Swings' what kind of excuse is that?" Grumbled Kurama.

"Mine." Replied the King, easily.

"Oh snap he got you there." Said Revan, sarcastically.

"Don't you side with him." Sniped Kurama, "Mr. I'm a Dark Lord but totally not at the same time." Mocked the beast.

"Oh toss off, ya fluffy fucker." Snapped Revan, Kurama's haughty laughter only further prickled the Dark Lord's sensibilities. A strong whacking noise resounded from withing Menma's mindscape, Kurama's annoyed groan go shortly following.

Menma cut the connection as the pair of children that dressed up as powerhouses fought over something petty, he eyes returning to the Citadel before them. Alucard peeling off and seemingly shimmering out of sight until he would be needed.

Into the vipers nest it would seem, how he loathed this place.

End of Chapter.

Short yes, more or less to get me back into the swing of writing this.

Menma won't be staying with Shep for long, so don't worry about this beis being a Canon ripoff.

If you have a question put it in a review, because others may have the same question and I hate repeating myself.
