I have so many chapters of this written but not typed up.

I don't own Danny Phantom.

A pair of skeleton soldiers on skeleton dragons guarded the castle but Danny was glad that there were only two of them.

The halfa ducked behind a rock that he had been peeking out from behind. He looked at his companions. Danni was in her ghost form with a pair of ectoice swords strapped to her belt. Next to her was Sam, holding a Fenton Bazooka. Next to him was Tamara. She had a bow and a quiver full of arrows that the Far Frozen had given her as a present for her 15th birthday (she was surprisingly good at archery). Dash was crouched behind her with a bag of ectoice footballs again. To Danny's right was Daniel, with his ectogun strapped to his waist. Next to Daniel was Timepiece, holding his staff in both hands. Behind the two of them was Fishtail. The half-merman had a single ice sword strapped to his belt, the same thing Danny had. Michael and Jacklyn knelt behind Fish, holding a lightsaber staff (in Michael's case) and a Fenton Bazooka (in Jacklyn's case). Jacklyn also held a Jack o' Nine Tails. James held a Fenton Bazooka as well and a small wrist ray strapped to his wrist.

"There's two guards," Danny said, hand reaching to where his ectoice sword was strapped to his belt, but not drawing it. "We'll need to distract them in order to get to the tunnels' entrance."

Danni thought for a minute. "How about duplication?"

Danny grinned. "I like the way you think."

A second later, a grinning Danny Phantom faded into visibility above the guards.

"Betcha can't catch me!" Danny taunted.

A soldier narrowed its eyes and fired an arrow at the halfa.

Danny dodged it and laughed. "Missed me, missed me! Now you gotta kiss me. Actually don't kiss me. That would be both strange and probably make my girlfriend angry. And do you really think you can hit me with these?" He caught an arrow and snapped it in half. "They're like toothpicks!"

The two soldiers were so busy attempting to hit him with the arrows that they didn't notice the real Danny and his allies slip under the island and fly beneath the castle.

Danny fired a blue blast out of his eyes, creating a platform of ice and set Jacklyn and Michael (who he had been carrying) down. Danni put Tamara and Sam down, Timepiece put Dash and James down, and Daniel put Fishtail down.

"I don't see any secret tunnels," Dash said.

"There's a reason they're secret," Danny responded. He ran his fingers along the stone and dirt before finding the piece hiding the tunnels. He grabbed it and pulled it out, revealing a dark passageway.

"Who's first?" he asked.

As soon as everyone was in the tunnel, Danny replaced the piece. It was dark for a second before Daniel pulled a lighter out of his boot. He grabbed a piece of wood that probably had been a torch at some point and lit it on fire.

"C'mon," the ghost hunter said, putting the lighter back in his boot. He turned around and started walking down the hallway.

Everyone glanced at each other before following, not wanting to be left in the dark.

Silence fell for a minute until Dash broke it.

"So, Danny," the jock said, running up next to him.

"Yes?" the shorter boy asked.

"I've got a question."

"Ask away."

"Back on Sunday night, you said something you never truly explained," Dash started.

Danny raised an eyebrow. "I thought I explained everything."

"Well, everything except this one thing," Dash said. "You said that there was a reason that your smirk looked so similar to Dan Phantom's. Why is that?"

Danny froze, not sure what to say. Tamara and Timepiece, who were the only one's behind the two, walked past them and stopped. Danny motioned for them to continue walking.

"That's—That's a touchy subject," Danny mumbled. "And a long story."

"We have time," Dash said.

Danny bit his lip and stared at Dash. The jock shivered. It almost seemed like the boy was staring into his soul with the otherworldly glowing green eyes.

Eventually, the halfa sighed and looked down.

"Dan Phantom isn't from this timeline," Danny explained.

"What?"

"He's from an alternate timeline," Danny explained again. "In that timeline, I cheated on the CATs. It led to my family and friends dying when the Nasty Burger exploded after Lancer called us to meet him there. I was forced to go to Vlad Masters. I asked him to get rid of my emotions. He tore my ghost half out. Overtaken with grief and loneliness, I attempted to possess his ghost half after I tore it out but it ended up fusing us together. Everything else is… better left unsaid."

"Wait," Dash said. "How does Dan Phantom fit into this? And how does this explain why he has the exact same smirk as…" Dash's eyes went wide. "…You…"

Danny nodded. "By fusing Plasmius and I, I became Dan Phantom, an unstoppable powerful ghost who destroyed cities and killed citizens for ten years. I've made a promise to never become that. And that's a promise I intend to keep."

"But—but—but you're a hero!" Dash stuttered.

Danny nodded again. "I know. But I was originally destined to be a villain."

"What about now?"

"Now," Danny said, turning and walking after the rest of the group. "I'm destined to be the hero."

….

"So, how are Mom and Dad taking to knowing the secret?" James asked, glancing back at his parents.

Danni smiled. "They seem to be taking it well."

"Well, there haven't been any ectoguns fired at you," James joked.

His sister punched him in the arm lightly. "Ha, ha, very funny. You have to remember that they have found out before but they don't remember. I don't know what their reactions were when Daniella revealed my secret to them but they did accept me during the whole thing with Freakshow." She paused. "The second time, not the first time."

"Good thing it wasn't the first time," James said, glancing back at their parents for the second time. "They would've jumped to conclusions and thought that you were evil. And…"

"I would've been thrown in prison or ripped apart molecule by molecule," Danni finished.

"What?" Jacklyn asked, having heard "ripped apart molecule by molecule."

Danni turned around to look at her mother. "It doesn't matter. But, in all honesty, can you please come up with a new threat?"

"And don't say it around me?" Time asked, popping out of nowhere.

Daniel stopped walking, causing everyone behind him to stop as well.

"What is it?" Tamara asked.

"Look for yourself," the ghost hunter responded with.

Everyone looked past him. In front of them were three tunnels.

"Which one do we take?" Fish asked.

Danny walked past everyone, standing in front of Daniel. His otherworldly glow added a bit more light to the area.

"This one—" he pointed to the one on the far left. "—Leads to the Queen's bedroom. We don't want to go there." He wandered over to the middle tunnel. "This one leads to the throne room. If we want to sneak up and surprise Queen Dark, we shouldn't go here. I don't know where the final one goes but it's probably better than the bedroom or the throne room."

Daniel shrugged and walked down the tunnel, leaving everyone no choice but to follow him.

"So, Daniel," Timepiece said, appearing next to the hunter. "How's stuff going on between you and Valerie?"

"It's pretty great," he said. He smirked. "How are things going between you and Dora?"

Timepiece froze. "We're not—I'm not—She's not—We're just best friends."

Daniel chuckled. "Well it seems like we have a new Clueless #1."

"I don't have any romantic feelings for her!" Timepiece snapped.

"Uh huh," Daniel said, clearly not believing the ghost. "Keep telling yourself that, lover boy." He walked past the Apprentice.

"Daniel!" the ghost yelled, chasing after him.

"Is that something they do all the time?" Jacklyn, who had seen the entire thing, asked Danny, who was walking next to her.

Danny nodded and grinned. "This is normal."

Jacklyn nodded as well and walked to stand by her husband.

Danny glanced at Danni. She was walking and talking with Tamara and Sam.

"So do we have a plan?" Tamara asked.

"The plan is to surprise Queen Dark and win the battle," Danni said. "Whenever we truly have a plan, it goes wrong, remember?"

"True," Sam said.

"Basically, don't die," Danny said with a grin as he wandered over.

"Um…"

The four of them turned to see Timepiece. The boy bit his lip.

"I kinda failed that already…"

"Yes. Yes, you did," Danny responded.

"Guys…" Daniel said, nervously.

"So… do I try not to be completely destroyed or…"

"Guys…"

"I guess… yeah… you try not to be completely destroyed."

"Guys…"

"Yeah, I guess…" Time took another step forward and stepped down on a floor tile. The tile gave way like a button.

"Poison darts!" Daniel yelled.

Everyone gasped and ran forward as the darts shot from the walls behind them. A dart shot through Timepiece's cape, missing him by a few inches.

The group stopped, out of breath, just out of reach of the darts. They stared back at the trap.

Danny looked at the darts curiously. He held his hand out and stopped ten of them in their tracks with telekinesis. He made them fly out of the way of the other darts before catching them.

"For later," Danny said as he froze them so that he couldn't prick himself on them and poison himself. He tucked them in his boots. "Call it Plan B, if you will."

"Okay, so we know that there are traps everywhere," Daniel stated. "We've gotta watch where we step."

"Yeah," Timepiece agreed, leaning against a wall. "We don't want any more poison darts." Unfortunately for him, the spot he was leaning against was a button and the floor opened beneath him, causing him to fall through it.

A second later, he floated up, an angry look on his face. "You know what? I'm flying because these traps seem to hate me." He threw his arms out to the sides in exaggeration and accidentally hit a lever. A large amount of water fell from the ceiling and landed on Fishtail.

"I hate you so much right now," the half-merman hissed as his transformation rings appeared and he was transformed into merman form. He fell backwards.

Timepiece winced.

It took them less than a minute to dry Fishtail off so he could revert back to human form (thanks to intangibility) and ten minutes later, they came to the end of the tunnels.

Danny opened a hatch on the ceiling and flew through it.

"Whoa! Guys, you've gotta see this!" he yelled.

The others glanced at each other and the ones who could fly helped the ones who couldn't up. They gasped.

They were in a treasure room. As far as they could see were gold, silver, gems, and other treasures.

Danny sat on a throne on the pile of gold, a lopsided crown on his head and various pieces of jewelry around his neck and on his wrists.

"This… is so awesome!" Time exclaimed, looking through the treasure and picking up a silver compass. He glanced around before shoving it in his pocket. "Finders keepers."

Danni found a gold tiara with three emeralds decorating it. She placed it on her head and turned to the mirror behind her.

"Wow," Tamara said. "You look pretty good in that. The emeralds match your eyes."

Danni felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Sam in a silver crown with three amethysts and a black and violet robe.

He bowed and held out his hand. "Care to dance, m'lady?"

Danni smiled and curtsied before taking his hand. "I'd be honored, kind sir."

Timepiece picked up a butterfly hairclip made out of an emerald and a sapphire.

"Dora would like this," he said, quietly.

"What?" Daniel asked.

"Nothing!" Time said quickly, shoving the hairclip into his pocket.

"Um, Danny?" Dash asked. He adjusted the bag of ectoice footballs he was carrying. "Shouldn't we actually get to finding the queen?"

Danny took of the crown. "Yeah, we probably should." He removed the bracelets and necklaces.

He whistled loudly, catching everyone's attention.

"C'mon, let's go." He spun around and started to walk to the door.

Danni put the tiara back in the pile and Sam took off the cape and put the crown back.

The small group was starting to follow Danny when the door knob turned.

Danny gasped and grabbed Dash and James. Danni grabbed Sam and Tamara. Timepiece grabbed Jacklyn and Michael and Daniel grabbed Fishtail. They flew to the ceiling.

"See, my queen?" a soldier said, walking in the room.

Everyone's eyes widened as someone they recognized, whether it be from a picture or from meeting in the past, walked into the room.

Queen Dark strode into the room, head held high and torn cape swaying behind her.

Danny clamped a hand over Dash's mouth to stop him from gasping while Danni whispered the queen's name quietly.

"The treasure room has not been touched since you were first locked away," the soldier finished.

The Dimension Chasers and the others glanced at each other.

The Queen nodded absentmindedly. "Good. Now where's that compass that could track anyone or anything just by saying their name."

Timepiece pulled out the silver compass and traced the design on it with his fingernail.

"We can use it to track the Phantom girl," Queen Dark said. "Or find my crown."

"My queen!" another skeleton soldier yelled, running into the room.

Dark turned around, narrowing her glowing green eyes. "What is so important that you have to rush in and interrupt me?"

The soldier hesitated. "It's the Phantom boy."

"What about him?" Dark asked.

"He appeared at the front of the castle, taunted the guards for a bit, and… and disappeared," the skeleton responded.

"He's one of those people who are both humans and ghosts," the queen deadpanned. "He has the ability to disappear." She paused. "But we should probably check the castle just in case."

The three of them left the treasure room, slamming the door behind them.

The group landed on the floor again.

Timepiece clenched the compass in his gloved hand. "Well, I made a good decision in keeping this thing." He grinned. "And they say stealing is bad."

"It is," Daniel deadpanned with a glare.

Timepiece chuckled uneasily. He opened the compass. It looked relatively normal with "north", "east", "south", and "west" written in Ghost with the arrow pointing north.

"It doesn't seem out of the ordinary," Dash commented.

"Yeah," Time agreed. "Maybe this is a different compass than the one Dark was talking about. I mean… if I just go ahead and say 'Find Danny', it's not just going to start tracking Danny."

The minute he said "Find Danny", the ghostly writing disappeared. The arrow spun in a few circles before pointing straight at Danny.

Time stared at the compass for a second. "Or maybe it is the right compass. I'll just put it away for later…" He shoved the compass back in his pocket.

Danny rolled his eyes and wandered over to the door. He changed back into Fenton and walked straight through the door.

"Um…" Jacklyn said.

"Humans are the ghosts in the Ghost Zone," Danny said, walking back through the door and changing back into Phantom. "Or halfas in their human forms as I just demonstrated." He bowed and turned around only to walk straight into the door. "OW!" He jumped back, holding his nose.

"Our fearless leader," Daniel muttered.

Danny glared at him. Danni snickered.

"Anyways," Danny said. "Invisibility is our best option despite the fact that there are no guards in this hallway."

"No guards," Sam said. "That's strange."

"They know we're trying to stop Dark," Fishtail said. "And they saw Danny's duplicate in front of the castle. My guess is that they're guarding her."

"Another guess," Tamara interrupted. "They're in the throne room."

"Yup," Tam said, looking around a corner. "Throne room."

A pair of soldiers were guarding the room. The group was hiding behind a nearby corner.

"How are we going to get past them?" Dash asked as Tamara ducked behind the corner again.

Danny grinned. "Dash, Dash, Dash… Have you learned anything on this trip? There are many ways to get past them." His grin widened. "But I enjoy playing around a bit." With those words, he turned invisible.

The now invisible Danny jumped into the air and hovered there for a second before flying around the corner and towards the guards. Without hesitation, he poked the first guard in the shoulder.

"Hey, stop that!" the guard said to its companion.

"Stop what?" the second guard asked.

Danny poked it in the arm.

"You stop that!" the second guard yelled, shoving the first one.

Danny poked the first one hard in the shoulder.

"Stop poking me!" the first skeleton yelled.

"N—" it was cut off as it was shocked from behind. It fell to the ground, bones breaking and scattering everywhere.

The first skeleton gasped. It looked up to see Fishtail standing there and made the mistake of looking into the boy's eyes. Its red eyes became green and a beam of green light left them and entered Fish's now completely green eyes. After a minute, it collapsed in a pile of ectoplasmic dust.

"Did you just…?" Dash trailed off.

"Kill it?" Fish finished. "It's a ghost. You can't kill ghosts. I did however destroy its soul." He pushed the dust around with his foot. "It was a weak creature. Taking its energy was like… having a glass of water."

Danny slammed his foot down on the second skeleton's skull as he became visible. "I was having fun. Stop ruining my fun!"

Fishtail stuck his tongue out at him.

Danny rolled his eyes. "Okay," he said, turning to the door and drawing his sword. "Let's do this."

Danni drew her swords while Fish drew his. Tam loaded her bow, Timepiece summoned his staff, and Daniel charged up his ectogun. Michael activated the lightsaber staff while Sam, James, and Jacklyn charged up their Fenton bazookas. Dash grabbed an ectoice football from the bag he was carrying.

"Ready?" Danny asked.

"Ready," Danni said, narrowing her eyes at the door as she stared at it.

Without hesitation, Danny kicked down the door to the Ghost Queen's throne room.

Timepiece better hold onto that compass. It's going to come in handy later.

Clues for the next story (you guys get two because I forgot to put one in the last chapter):

1. Dan will appear for a small amount of time but will not be the main villain.

2. And (because I'm a huge Gravity Falls fan) TRUST NO ONE
