Scorpius let out a deep sigh as he glanced at the girl in his arms. Naked as the day she was born, Lily looked no more beautiful to him than she normally did. Her hair was tangled all over the pillow that they shared and covered most of her modesty and her perfect face was peaceful from the deep sleep that she was in. He rolled his eyes at the annoying sound her mobile phone made for what felt like the millionth time this morning alone. It was that sound that awoke him twenty minutes ago. He intended on waking Lily up but when he saw how calm and happy she looked, he couldn't bear to wake her.

But now that he glanced in the direction of the clock, Scorpius knew he would have to wake her pretty soon. An hour ago his mother would have went into his bedroom to see why he wasn't at breakfast. Forty minutes ago his mother would have asked his father where he was; thirty minutes ago his parents will have went to Cal and Zoe's houses to ask where he was. Twenty minutes ago his mother will have contacted the parents of all his other friends.

In half an hour the train leaves to Hogwarts.

"Lily." He eventually found his voice and whispered her name into Lily's ear. A small kiss followed the words and that seemed more successful into waking her up.

"Lily, baby, come on." He sat up and gently eased her into a sitting position. "I . . . I need to go." Scorpius let out another deep breath when she opened her eyes wide and looked up at him curiously.

"I have to be on a train for school or my father will kill me," he spoke the truth. If he wasn't on that train then Draco Malfoy would most likely murder him. Then bring him back to life so that Astoria Malfoy could murder him again.

"What time does your train leave -?" Lily asked him before she glanced at the clock on the wall. "Fuck!" she hissed and jumped out of bed and grabbed her phone from the nightstand. "Shit! Shit! I've had like a shitload of calls from my parents . . . yup, I'm dead." She ran a hand through her hair as she looked down at her phone through narrowed eyes. Letting out a frustrated sigh Lily tossed her phone in the direction of the bed and only then seemed to remember that she was completely naked and standing in front of Scorpius.

He felt his eyes rake over her body, remembering last night with a very satisfied feeling. He remembered how his lips had touched her there, and how his fingers traced the skin over there. Scorpius looked at his favourite part of Lily's body and smiled.

Her large brown eyes brightened when he met their gaze and he saw her entire body grow bolder, she gained more confidence in standing naked in front of him.

"I don't want to go to school," he whispered, swinging his legs out so he was still sitting on the bed but his feet were on the floor. He held one hand out for her to take and pulled her towards him when she took it. The feeling of flesh on flesh caused a heat to run through him that he wanted to acknowledge but he knew he couldn't.

"I don't want you to either," she whispered. "But . . . we knew this was coming. I wish we'd woken sooner." Scorpius bit the inside of his cheek when she adjusted her position on his lap. "We don't even have five minutes?" She moved her face closer to his, so that her breath fanned over his face.

Scorpius gulped and moved his hands to her waist, tightening his hold as he looked into her beautiful eyes.

"We have three minutes."

"You can get a ride, right?" Scorpius checked, pulling his socks on as fast as he could. Lily was lying in bed, watching as he dressed. He reached into his pants pocket and pulled out the wad of notes; the last of his muggle money collection for the summer.

"I'll get my cousin to pick me up," she waved off. "Keep your money." She shook her head when he held it out to her.

He slowly put it back in his pocket and looked around the room - he had on all his clothes and hadn't brought anything else with him so he was ready to leave. Something exciting caught his eye. He bent down and picked up the very small and very attractive pair of panties he peeled off Lily last night.

"I guess I'll see you . . . at Christmas." He frowned and scrunched the panties up into a small ball and shoved them into his pocket.

Lily nodded her head slowly and tightened her grip on the duvet. "Scorpius . . . please just go. I don't think I can bare it if you linger."

Scorpius nodded his head once and summoned all of the inner-strength that he had. He mentally cursed those Gryffindors for all of the courage and bravery that they had to spare; for some reason Albus Potter came to his mind. Would the Potter prat be able to just walk out on a girl he liked this much? Would Prince Potter be able to turn his back on the girl who drove him mad every second of the day?

"I'll call you. Soon." He promised as he opened the door to the hotel. Before he could chicken out, he stepped out of the room and closed the door silently behind him.

As always, Scorpius and his family were getting stared at. As always it made Scorpius angry.

"Ignore them son." Draco Malfoy put his finger in the cage of Scorpius' cat and stroked behind her ears.

"I don't like it!" Scorpius hissed glaring at a couple of third year Hufflepuff's who passed with their parents. "Wipe that look off of your face or I'll come find you on the train and give you something to stare at!" he snapped at the two young boys.

"Scorpius!" Astoria slapped his arm and glared at her son. "And don't think yelling at some thirteen year old will distract me from wanting to know where you've been all morning!" she added in a quieter tone.

"I told you, I was out." He put his hands in his pockets and smirked to himself when he felt the lace of the panties in his pockets. "I shouldn't have stayed out all night without letting you know. I'm sorry." He apologised to his mother and gave her his best 'I'm-your-only-son-and-you-love-me' face.

"You're a man now, Scorpius," Astoria chided him gently. She reached up to put a hand on his shoulder. "But you still need to tell me if you plan on having one of those disgusting one night stands!" She moved her hand to slap him on the cheek playfully.

Scorpius opened his mouth to laugh but he saw trouble.

"Look, the Goyles have arrived." He cleared his throat and looked away from the group heading towards them. "You never did invite Mr and Mrs. Goyle to your dinner party next week." He glanced at his father briefly.

Draco seemed to understand and took his wife by the elbow. "Come Astoria, I think our son is trying to get some alone time with his friends." He chuckled lightly when Zoe and Cal came over to stand by them.

Astoria rolled her eyes but led the way over to where Cal and Zoe's parents were standing with a few other parents. Almost as soon as they were gone, the trouble started.

"I see that the pureblood elite have gone from abusing Muggleborns and Muggles to abusing their own off-spring," Hugo Weasley snickered, causing the rest of his tribe to laugh along with him.

Scorpius glared at Albus Potter. The two were of a similar height, very close in size and both easily equal in fighting. The two had fought and duelled thousands of times over the past seven years and things were definitely on an even footing.

"It's a shame your parents don't hold our values, Weasley." Zoe glared at the younger student. "I'm sure a piece as fine as your mum would be able to knock some sense into you."

A small group of Slytherin's had come to back Scorpius and his best friends up but he ignored their laughter, he just glared at Albus when he smirked.

"Bit over-dressed for the train ride, aren't you Scorpius?" Albus asked politely.

One of the main things that annoyed Scorpius about Albus was that no matter how much he was pushed he would always call Scorpius by his first name. Never 'Malfoy' it was always 'Scorpius.'

"Well, Albus, I actually have a social life and I didn't leave myself enough time to get changed." Scorpius shrugged and straightened his shirt a little. "Also, this is called class. It's mainly only shown or even used within the pureblood elite. Of course you wouldn't know anything about that." Scorpius smirked when Albus' eyes flashed angrily and his fists clenched tightly by his sides.

"Well the lipstick marks on your collar and the love-bite on your neck tells us you pulled a whore last night," Albus pointed out. "Tell me, how many galleons did you have to throw at her for her to drop her panties?"

Scorpius felt his entire body run cold. He took a step forwards and noticed that he had seemingly grown over the summer. Back in June he and Albus were of the same height and now he had to look down on Gryffindors Golden Boy.

"Or did you force them down?" Albus smirked and stepped closer to Scorpius.

Scorpius' vision turned red. He could practically hear the blood boiling in his body and before he knew what he was doing he had grabbed Albus by the collar of his t-shirt and yanked him close.

"I dare you to say that again," he snarled, his nose practically touching Albus'. The two of them ignored the yells of people around them, didn't acknowledge the crowd circling them and didn't realise that they were both in sight of their parents and Professor Longbottom.

"What's the matter, Scorpius?" Albus sneered and shoved Scorpius away. "Touched a nerve talking about your whore of the week? Have I –."

Albus didn't get to finish his sentence because Scorpius dived for him.

Scorpius didn't get to lay a finger on him though because his father and Gregory Goyle grabbed him and pulled him away from Albus the same time that Bill Weasley and Harry Potter restrained Albus from laying into Scorpius.

"Say that again and I'll crack your head open." Scorpius pushed his father and godfather's arms away from him and glared at the entire clan of Weasley's and Potter's.

"Try it, Scorp and see what happens." Albus shoved the sleeves of his jacket up and cracked his knuckles.

"Enough!"

Scorpius glanced down and saw Zoe stood in front of him, a hand on his chest. He followed her gaze and saw Dominique standing slightly away from her family.

He looked into Zoe's eyes and let out a deep sigh. Ever since the two were in nappies she had always been able to calm him. "Fine . . . I'll see you in school." He glanced towards Albus who was being ushered away by someone who looked like his mother.

Scorpius caught Mrs. Potter's eye and felt his heart skip a beat.

That shade of brown was awfully familiar.

"Scorpius, get on that train. Now!" Astoria spoke through gritted teeth.

Lily sighed deeply and used her foot to add more hot water to her bath. Megan had dropped her off at home two hours ago and her parents still weren't home. She'd heard James come home around forty minutes ago but he had simply shut himself up in his bedroom without checking to see if anyone was home. Instead of waiting around for her mum and dad to come home and yell at her, she decided to go have a nice bath. Above all else she really needed to rid herself of the smell of sex and try to ease away the ache between her legs.

Last night with Scorpius was beyond perfect; not only was it the best she's ever had but it was also . . . euphoric.

"Lily?!"

"Two seconds Mum," Lily called out of her bathroom door which was ajar. Preparing herself for the upcoming screaming match, she climbed out of the bath and wrapped herself in the fluffy dressing gown she kept hung up on the back of the door.

She expected her mother to be in her bedroom but she didn't expect her dad to be sat on the unmade bed. When she opened the door and stepped into the bedroom they both looked at her.

"Where were you?" her mother fumed immediately. "James took the day off of work –."

"Aunt Hermione is his boss," Lily pointed out straight away.

"Freddie was there –."

"Again, his father is his boss. Not exactly hard for them to get the –."

"Albus is your brother!" Ginny cut her off and shouted. "He is your brother and he seems to be the only family member you give a damn about. You are not going to see him again until Christmas –."

"That is not my fault!" Lily screamed back at her mother. She felt her eyes swim with tears but she told herself that was because Albus wasn't the only guy in her life she wouldn't see until Christmas.

"It's about time you grew up, Lily." Ginny shook her head and headed for the door. "You want us to treat you like an adult? Then act like one. Until then, you're grounded."

"For what? Not going to a stupid train station –."

"For not coming home all night! For not letting us know where you were!" Ginny glared at Lily before she stormed out of the attic room.

Lily watched her leave before she turned to her father.

"Don't try it Lily. You're grounded for two weeks," Harry sighed. He lent forwards to rest his elbows on his knees and put his head in his hands. "I'm disappointed in you, Lily. Albus was looking for you right up until the last minute."

Lily bit her cheek as she sat down next to her father - she did feel guilty. "I'm sorry. I am. Mum was wrong though." She looked down at her lap. "Albus isn't the only family member I give a damn about –."

"It sure seems that way. Albus, Dominique, sometimes Hugo –."

"He's the only one that tries." Lily glanced at her dad. When she saw he was looking at her, she moved to rest her head on his shoulder. "He's the only one who doesn't treat me like I'm from another planet or something. Dom too."

Harry extended his arm and wrapped it around Lily's shoulder. He rubbed it comfortingly and kissed the top of her head. "I love you Lily. Your mother does too, more than you will ever know. All your brothers, your cousins, aunts and uncles . . . we all love you."

Lily felt one of the tears in her eyes fall as she heard the words her father was saying. She heard them but she certainly didn't believe them.

"It doesn't seem like it," she admitted quietly.

"We all do. As for me . . . you're the single most important girl in my life." Harry kissed the top of her head again as Lily tried to discreetly wipe the tears from her face.

"Lily . . . you are a Squib," said Harry.

Lily pushed away from him and stood up. "Dad –."

"You're a Squib and that makes you different from –."

"I'm going to finish my bath. Can you shout me when it's time for dinner?" Lily headed to the bathroom and slammed the door closed behind her. Just to be sure her father wouldn't try to speak to her through the door, she turned the music on her phone on to the loudest it would go.

Then she got in the bath, turned the hot water tap back on and laid herself under the water where her tears would disappear as soon as they came.

Closing her eyes, Lily let the music in her ears drown out the sounds of her friends' voices. They had all been brought into the assembly hall on their lunch break because of the rain outside. That meant that just under five hundred teenagers were all gathered in one room. That meant that Lily was getting annoyed with the yells, laughter, screams and whistling that under-age boys tended to find amusing.

Since she and her friends were all now in year eleven it meant that the seats at the back of the assembly hall, right up at the top of the platform of seats were reserved for them. What it really meant was that the boys in her group could throw things at the younger students easily.

Lily jumped when she felt something sharp against her cheek, surprising her and bringing her back to reality. Joelle was sitting on her left and had a mischievous smirk on her face.

"Did you just flick me?" Lily asked, pulling her ear phones out and shoving them in her pocket.

"I did say your name, three times." Joelle shrugged and looked around. "Where's everyone at?"

Lily looked Joelle over before she glanced at their friends. Joelle was wearing a hoodie and shorts over her dancing gear and 'their friends' included Emery and some of their advanced Literature classmates, including Priya.

"I have no idea." Lily let out a breath and noticed for the first time her best friend had no make-up, was slightly sweaty and had her hair pushed to the top of her head in a very messy bun. "Hard day dancing?"

"Yup! Exhausting, I still have so much to do before the show next week!"

The dancing students put on a show at the beginning of every new term, and Joelle always starred in it. This year was no exception: while Lily and their friends were studying hard for their upcoming GCSE's, Joelle was doing eight hour dance practices four days a week.

"Mind if I sit in on your practice tonight?" Lily asked quietly. She had only told Joelle about the troubles going on at home. Even then it was very brief.

"Still rowing with your rents?"

"I haven't spoken to my mother in almost three weeks. James ignores me like usual and my dad is distant," Lily whispered. "I almost miss Al."

"Me and you both sister." Joelle stood up and stretched out her arms. "Sure, I've got the suite booked for myself anyway. You wanna stay at mine tonight? Dad's picking me up."

Lily smiled at her friend and nodded her head quickly. "I'll ring home and leave a message now!"

"Your main piece of coursework this year is creative," Miss Gallagher told the class. Lily sighed lightly and tried to look interested. Advanced Literature was proving to be even duller in her final year than it was in her first.

"I want you to hand in something creative, could be poetry, prose, lyrical, collage type - anything you guys like. It will be weighted at sixty percent of your overall grade. An exam in the summer will make up the other forty. Word count . . . no less than four thousand. You can split it so that the count is analytical and creative."

Lily looked at Emery and raised an eyebrow. "What the hell? What happened to analysing a bunch of Victorians trying to hide their sexualities?" she hissed, making the Irish girl laugh.

"I have no clue," Emery said with a shake of her head when her giggles stopped. "Maybe that's what the exam will be on – 'Just what was Oliver asking for more of exactly? Porridge or penis?'" Emery mocked, making Lily snort and choke on her sip of water. That was so unlike her!

Looking around the room, Lily felt a bit helpless when she heard snippets of people already planning their projects.

"I'm going to do a collage on this Hungarian poet . . ."

"I might do an analysis of all the songs from that boy-band my mother got me into -."

"I'm going to write a scene from a play!"

Something caught her eye.

A hand-drawn picture of a witch. Green face, warts on her overly-large nose and a wooden stick with a star on the end in her hand. Lily looked around the room, at the walls and the small bookshelf behind Miss Gallagher's desk.

Witches, posters of magical movies, books on witchcraft, novels on wizardry.

Smirking to herself, Lily grabbed her pen and scribbled something down in her notebook.

"Advanced Lit project - the story of . . . Ronald Weasley."

Lily briefly considered writing her own father's story down but she changed her mind; her uncle had a much more interesting childhood than her father. Learning to fly, learning to brew basic potions, hunting for gnomes and ghouls around his families ancient house? Sounds like a perfect 'A' grade from her magic-loving tutor.

Author's Note: OMG you guys! Thank you so much for your patience with this story! Both me and Nadene have been really busy with work and everything and it's so hard to coordinate everything. We've never co-written before and even though we have written a fair amount of chapters, it's still taking some time. We hope that this was worth the wait. It's not the longest of chapters, definitely a filler.

This chapter is pretty much Nadene's so I'm not taking any of the credit. She literally just checked in with me what we wanted to happen and then she churned this one out, smoother than butter. She is an amazing writer and it's a pleasure to work with her. The girl will go far :D

I can't say when the next chapter will be out, I have exams coming up and I'm sure Nadene will be engrossed in Game of Thrones fanfiction or something like that ;) (she may have exams too) But rest assured that we never forget this story and we will do everything we can do to finish it for you all.
