Simon smiled as he watched the puffy clouds slowly drift through the perfectly clear sky. He shut his eyes for a moment, enjoying the feeling of the warm spring air on his skin.
When he opened his eyes, he glanced at the purple clad Chipette walking beside him, who looked at him and grinned sweetly, then pushed her pink circular framed glasses up the bridge of her tiny button nose.
He reached down into the soft grass and carefully plucked a pansy of lavender color from it, and handed it to her.
"Thank you, Simon," the girl said happily, taking in its scent.
"You're welcome, Jeanette," he replied just as chipper, gently grabbing the flower and sticking it in her hair.
Jeanette giggled quietly as Simon took one of her hands and kissed it softly, causing her to blush. His fingers then intertwined with hers, and she gave his hand a slight squeeze. "I love you."
"I love you, too." He caressed the top of her hand with his thumb and they continued on with their walk, relishing the rest of the glorious afternoon.
