A/N: I posted 2 chapters today, read chapter 17 first. If you skip straight to the end then that is no fun!

After lighting one of the many candles, Risa headed down the path to find an open seat. By now, word had spread across the fleet of the two star crossed lovers who journeyed across the universe to be together. Thousands of people came out to share their support. Risa walked by Zen, noticing how he slouched somberly in his chair.

Finding an open seat, Risa recognized one of the men from the Alpha Quadrant team.

"Is anyone sitting here?"

He shook his head and gestured for her to take a seat.

"I remember you, from the back hall…"

He held out his hand to formally introduce himself, "Asher, Ash in its shortened form and you're Risa."

She smiled and gave nod.

Asher cleared his throat, "Sorry, that probably came off a little weird. I only know you're name because your friends with Amy." He continued to trip over his words as he tried to further explain himself, "Not that I wouldn't know your name if you weren't friends with Amy because I would…because I notice you…I mean your smile. I notice you and your smile…"

Now embarrassed, he turned away from her and mumbled under his breath, "…and thats why I never found the courage to talk to you."

Risa couldn't help but laugh, if there was one thing she learned from Amy it was to never hold back.

She patted him on the leg, "Its okay, I think I get it."

He raised his eyebrows, waiting for her to finish.

Risa didn't sugar coat it, "You like me."

Asher's cheeks grew red with embarrassment.

Risa stared at him out of the corner of her eye, "I accept your advances. After the ceremony you can take me on a walk and later we can share a meal…"

Asher's eyes grew wide with surprise, "Yes ma'am… I mean, great!"

Now with a smug expression Asher grinned, "Glad I found the courage to ask…"

They sat in silence a few moments longer until the crowd turned in unison as Sheldon made his way down the path.

"Its worth it, isn't it?" Asher once again spoke.

Risa brushed away her tears, "It is, everything they've been through, its worth it…"

Looking up at the darkened night sky, Sheldon knew that he would never look at the stars the same way ever again. He continued his walk down the dirt pathway, ignoring the fact that thousands of people sat silently watching his every move.

Reaching the front he took a deep breath and smoothed his hands over his ceremonial robes. He tried his best to maintain his composure as he waited for the ceremony to begin but he couldn't stop the tears that filled his eyes as he thought of Amy. No amount of time would change what he felt for her. He loved her deeply and would travel across the universe as many times as it took to reach this very moment.

Amy made her way slowly down the dirt pathway. She was ninety percent regenerated and she was told it wouldn't be much longer for her to be fully healed. She looked out in the distance and smiled at Sheldon who patiently waited for her. Taking her place across from him, Sheldon took her hands into his. Staring into his eyes, Amy now realized why she didn't feel the distant pull anymore, it was because she was right where she needed to be.

They listened carefully as the Oracle performed the ceremony and spoke the sacred words. Standing underneath the alignment of the planets three moons, Sheldon and Amy shared a kiss to seal their eternal vow.

No matter the distance

Between space and time

Do not fear or doubt

But know that I will find you

Because in the end

I am yours for eternity
