Episode 18:

Chika's "Down with Honey" Declaration!/The Shadow King and Hell Kaiser Clash!

-Part 2-

"You've barely broken a sweat! You bums don't need a break! Start working harder before you're all out!"

"Sir!"

As Yasuchika was drilling his students into more exercises that looked a lot difficult to comprehend, the Host Club and the duelists were nearby the window watching it all. Haruhi, Tamaki and the twins were the ones pressed against the glass lightly, as Johan and Judai were also peeking at each side of them. Sho mostly stayed behind with Hani and Mori, as Asuka, Fubuki, Ryo and Jim were with Kyoya on the other side. It also seemed inside the training hall, Edo was at the corner reading a book.

"Well, so far it looks like a simple inferiority complex," Hikaru spoke up boredly with a sigh.

"He's always being compared to Hani-senpai so that's why he feels such animosity towards him," Kaoru agreed, sighing as well, "His older brother is more attractive, more popular, and a better martial artist than he is. I think he's just letting his jealousy get the best of him,"

Sho tilted his head, raising a brow. Did I have a inferiority complex before too? He wondered and thought about it. No, he didn't that much...maybe?...

Judai actually looked back to Kyoya who hummed at what Kaoru said and looked surprised. Is he thinking about himself and his brothers?

Hikaru and Kaoru then spoke together with deadpanned faces, "It's totally normal and way boring~! We're gonna go find something more entertaining~"

They were already moving away from the window and skipping away.

"Does this always happen in your club?" Ryo spoke up with a monotone voice as Kyoya kept a light aired tone, but it was anything but.

"Usually, it is know that we can be pretty lively and up our feet,"

Once again the Shadow King and Hell Kaiser were glaring at each other in hate, and Judai never noticed.

"Really, really scary," Jim whistled once more as he tipped his hat up and Asuka laughed sheepishly.

"Hold on! Come back here you two!" Tamaki called to the twins, scolding, "Why are you suddenly being so uncooperative?"

The twins looked back at their 'boss' and shrugged, "Well, we thought there'd be an interesting secret reason they're fighting...This is just lame,"

The Host King twitched and hissed, "So, Hani-senpai and Chika's feelings aren't exciting enough?!"

"What's exciting about two brothers fighting?" Fubuki whined as he was clearly bored, but Ryo was quiet.

Sho saw this and then looked away for a moment, unconsciously placing a hand over his throat. The moment of how he and his brother fought that day when Ryo was the darker self known as Hell Kaiser, stronger than he was now, was a dark time indeed. Sho could remember the sensations of shock after shock after shock, and it didn't hurt worse than losing his brother that day. Losing his morality and pride of being a good sportsman.

Hani then spoke up sadly, "It's okay, Tama-chan, really,"

Tamaki paused his tongue lashing and blinked at the older boy, "But, Hani-senpai..."

Hani shook his head, smiling reassuringly (and Sho noticed he's been doing that all day), "It's alright. Don't worry about me. So what if Chika-chan hates me? I would be happy just seeing him grow up to be strong and healthy. He is my brother after all..."

"Hani-senpai..." Sho whispered, taking his hand into his gently, making Hani look at him and smile.

There was a glow around them, and as much as it was touching, the twins ruined it by saying.

"Umm, he's already a lot taller than you, Hani-senpai,"

"Yeah, he's pretty grown up and plenty healthy,"

"Excuse me..." A voice spoke up deadly like, and Chika was staring at the gang with dark eyes, "Could you guys please keep it down?"

"What's going on?" Edo was coming out as well, book over his chest and blinked, "Eh?"

The Host Club and the Duelists except for Kyoya, Mori and Ryo, jumped back in surprise and soon Chika narrowed his more at the sight of his brother and soon was in a defensive position.

"What are you doing here? I thought I had told you to stay away from me at school, Mitsukuni!"

Soon he launched his attack, and Hani defended that hit with a kick of his leg, making everyone jump back in surprise. They jumped back from each other easily, and Sho watched them with worry in his greyish eyes. Hani stared at his brother with a small sad frown, and Chika made a 'tch' sound in anger and soon spoke up with disgust in his voice.

"You alien," He spat out, "Would you just leave me alone?!"

Hani looked hurt as he murmured, "B-But Chika-chan..."

Sho wanted to slap Chika in the face, and...he surprisingly did.

Everyone stared in surprise at this, even Ryo did as well, as Sho stood in front of the slightly taller male than he with angry in his eyes, his hand out as Chika's head was turned to the side, eyes wide and glasses skewed. His cheek even had a slight redness from the slap as Sho then shouted.

"How dare you call your brother an alien just because of what he loves and wants to break out of his chains of trying to be himself!" He scolded, pointing at finger at the surprised Chika, "What kind of brother calls him that when all he just wants is to be accepted for who he is! As a younger brother, it's your job to look after your brother! To be his support and family, not tear him down! What kind of brother are you?!"

"Wow," Judai breathed out as Johan nodded slowly in awe.

Ryo looked down for a moment as Asuka placed a hand over his shoulder with a small smile, as Fubuki and Jim looked at each other in confusion.

Hikaru and Kaoru looked at each other, blinking from the shock before, "What did he mean by alien anyways?"

Haruhi nodded in agreement, also recovering from what happened, "W-why...Why would you call him that? Just because your brother is stronger than you are doesn't give you the right to call him an alien..."

Tamaki looked puzzled by this as well, "Yeah, why are you so upset about cake and stuffed animals?"

Sho never backed down from the staredown with Chika and Ryo was impressed.

Looks like little brother has grown a backbone after all... He thought with pride.

Chika snapped out from his daze then shuddered, as he then looked away, "Well, if it was just about the cake and stuffed animals, I would never've said anything," He fixed his glasses and looked at Sho fully then at his brother, "Let's get this straight. I didn't call my brother an alien because he's stronger than me..."

Sho raised a brow as the other seemed to have paused, but then jumped back in shock as Chika was shouting frantically.

"Have any of you ever seen him devour an entire cake?! Don't tell me you guys think that's perfectly normal!" He waved his hands around comically and then pointing at his innocent looking older brother as the twins and Haruhi sweatdropped, "He has three whole cakes every night for dessert! Seriously, three cakes a night!? And he never gains weight!"

Sho then relaxed as he then blinked slowly. All this...because of eating so much cake at night. That's not healthy but still...

"That's it?" Johan hummed with a blank expression.

"Oh here we go again," Edo sighed as he then facepalmed.

"Eh? You knew?" Hikaru and Kaoru asked the silver haired boy as Edo rolled his eyes.

"Of course I do, he's my classmate and we became friends since along with another guy,"

"So he's one of the friends you ditched us for?" Hikari huffed as he folded his arms.

"Don't start with that..." Edo raised a brow but then blinked as Chika spoke up again.

"Come on, be honest..." Chika shivered as he then was looking at them with wild eyes, "You know there's no way that a regular human being can eat that much cake! Aren't you terrified?! I bet he gets signals from his home planet through that weird bunny of his! Why can't you see that he's an alien?!"

Haruhi laughed weakly, "When you think about it..."

Tamaki nodded, "Everything Chika just said to us..."

Hikaru and Kaoru shrugged, "Suddenly makes perfect sense, doesn't it?"

"I guess it does," Asuka hummed as she placed her hands on her hips.

Sho then puffed his cheeks for a moment, but then blinked when Chika turned serious again.

"I don't know though..." He whispered as he then had this far-off expression on his face, "There was a time when Mitsukuni and I got along really well. While it's true that my Brother has always had a fondness for cute things and more of a sweet tooth than I have, I still respected his ability to avoid that stuff even though he loved it,"

There was love after all in the other's voice, and Sho smiled at this, not knowing that Ryo was watching him with observing eyes.

"And then this idiot came along and brainwashed him with some ridiculous nonsense...something about acknowledging who you really are and just being yourself. That that's true strength..."

Tamaki gasped inwardly as everyone then looked at him with a glare.

Chika then fell to the floor and cried out, "Not long after that he fell apart and became the alien he is today!"

Hikaru sighed as he rubbed his head, "Oh, I see. So all of Chika's troubles..."

"-Can be traced right back to you. Isn't that true, Boss?" Kaoru said in amusement as Tamaki panicked.

"What are you talking about?! I didn't mean to!" The blond Host King flailed and cried, "There's got to be someway we can fix this! Come on, you guys!"

Sho frowned a little but then looked back as Hani was saying Mori-senpai's name, seeing that the taller third here had a serious look on his face. Something about the look the cousins shared made the blunet feel uneasy. But as he felt Johan patting his head, he relaxed.

"There is a way to solve this, you know," Mori spoke up.

Tamaki looked up in relief with Haruhi looking confused.

"You've got it figured out?"

"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?" Johan thought out loud with a sweatdrop.

Mori ignored this and looked back at Hani, "So Mitsukuni...you know what to do,"

Hani looked at him with sad eyes then calmed himself, looking down for a moment as Sho watched him.

"Hani-senpai," Sho whispered.

"Listen Chika-chan," Hani finally said, looking at his brother with a soft gaze,"I never meant to upset you. I didn't know that you hated sweets that much and I'm very sorry..."

Haruhi sweatdropped, "Oh no. Looks like he missed the point completely..."

Tamaki laughed weakly at this as everyone else besides Chika and Hani sweatdropped too.

"Nobody can make me change who I am and I'm really grateful to Tama-chan and all of the Host Club and Sho-chan and everyone of my friends, because they've shown me that..." Hani smiled warmly but then turned serious, showing Sho a side that he had only seen a few times, "So... let's settle this like men in the Haninozuka style, Yasuchika,"

Chika narrowed his eyes sharply at him, as both brothers had a stare off, and Sho looked even more worried.

Ryo hummed a bit as he glanced at Kyoya for a moment, catching the young Ootori's eye in silent challenge.

And the only one that caught this, was Johan.

"Wow, this field is HUGE," Judai breathed out as the wind blew around them.

"Yeah, a perfect place to chill and stuff," Johan looked around, then looked at everyone else.

Hani and Chika were standing face to face, about a few feet from each other, ready to fight.

"And don't forget Chika-chan. This is a 1 point match," Hani explained as Chika frowned.

"So what happens if I win?"

It was silent for a moment, the window blowing around them dramatically.

"If you win...I'll stop eating cake in the middle of the night,"

"That's it?!" Edo asked in surprise, "There's no way Yasuchika-san would accept that-"

"All right,"

Edo almost face palmed to the ground as Johan laughed.

Mori stood in between the Haninozuka brothers, hands in his pockets, "Are you ready for battle, men?...Then, you may begin!"

As soon as that was said, Chika was alert. Hani moved first and was aiming for a kick, but Chika jumped back and dodged it, landing back crouching down...in a familiar position that Sho knew he has seen before. It seemed that Johan and Haruhi noticed too, as Hani was giving out punches at his younger brother, who was quickly dodging it as well and dropped down to swipe a kick at Hani's legs, but it missed the older Haninozuka.

Tamaki gasped once Hani was pulling out...a familiar bo-staff.

"Is it just me or is this fight turning out exactly like the one they had earlier?" The blond pointed out as Kyoya hummed.

"Yes, but this time, their roles are reversed,"

"Oh yeah!" Judai noticed it now too.

"Mitsukuni's already planned how this entire fight will pan out," Mori explained, arms folded, "Yasuchika will attack with his shuriken any moment now,"

And indeed, Chika threw the shurikens, which was blocked by Hani's bo-staff.

"Woah, he called it!" Hikaru and Kaoru shouted in surprise.

Haruhi looked confused and deadpanned, "Uh Mori-senpai...where do they hide these Shuriken?"

"I think they hide it under their sleeves or inside their jackets," Asuka pointed out.

"I have been watching these two brothers spar for many years-"

"Aaaand he's not listening," Johan murmured, but was ignored as Mori continued.

"-and it didn't take long before I noticed that in every match Yasuchika incorporates moves that Mitsukuni used in the previous match. Mitsukuni realized it as well, and he always tries to give his brother the opportunity to practice those new techniques," Mori narrowed his eyes for a moment, making Sho look at him in surprise, "He may call him an alien, but as far as martial arts are concerned, Yasuchika has a deep respect for Mitsukuni and his abilities. I think all he really wants is to be like his older brother,"

Sho's eyes widened at this as he thought immediately about himself and his Onii-san.

"They are connected just as two siblings ought to be and personally I think a little sibling rivalry is perfectly normal," Mori continued with a shrug, "There's no need to worry about the outcome of this match. I can already tell you that Mitsukuni is planning to throw the fight and let Yasuchika beat him,"

"R-really?" Johan looked at him unsurely as he looked back at the fight. They were evenly matched.

Mori nodded, "Trust me. I know everything there is to know about him,"

Hani then screamed out, "Defend yourself!"

And with no mercy, Hani delivered a harsh kick at his younger brother, who went flying.

"...Oh my," Asuka placed her hands over her mouth.

"...Ah," Mori looked blank in the face as Johan touched his arm in worry.

"M-Mori-senpai?"

Hani jumped up in the air happily, hearts and flowers behind him in joy, "Yay! I'm the winner! Cake! cake! cake!" He hugged his Usa-chan and then giggled, "I have an idea! Since I won, I think we should start having special cake night 3 times a week! And Sho-chan, you can sleep over each of those days~"

"Er..." Sho laughed weakly, as Jim and Asuka went to check on a very injured Chika.

Tamaki, Hikaru and Kaoru gathered around a stony depressed looking Mori, "Don't let you get you down, Mori-senpai," They consoled him as Johan was doing the same.

Haruhi sighed as he then pouted a bit with a disappointed look, "So, Hani-senpai's love of cake exceeds his love for his brother...Man, he's a horrible person..."

"I dunno," Fubuki spoke up seriously for the first time, smiling a little, "I think this happy ending tied up pretty well,"

"Eh?" Haruhi looked up at him.

Hani and Sho sat themselves on the rooftops of the school, watching the sunset together.

"Was it really necessary to beat your brother for cake?" Sho asked finally as he looked at the older loli boy, who just laughed a bit.

"It wasn't just cakes Sho-chan," His eyes turned serious for a second, "It was also about our declaration of love and war,"

Sho looked confused at this for a moment, tilting his head, "Huh?"

Hani then was smiling again, wrapping his arms around Sho and then kissed his cheek, nuzzling his nose into his cheek, "I love you~"

"EHHHH!?"

Meanwhile, Ryo and Kyoya were face to face with each other in their seats, Fubuki, Asuka, Judai and Jim watching them at the sidelines.

"So...are you prepared for battle?" Ryo asked with a glare.

"I am well prepared," Kyoya shrugged as he was crossing his arms as he then raised his chin up in confidence, "My move first,"

Asuka leaned over to her older brother and murmured, "What's the point of all this?"

"Isn't it obvious? This decides the fate of Judai's love life!" Fubuki explained passionately as Judai looked confused.

"Eh?! Me?" He pointed at himself.

Jim frowned a little, "Kind of a letdown that we had a real martial art fight a while ago...and now watching these two playing chess..."

Indeed, Kyoya and Ryo agreed to play chess considering Ryo couldn't duel or do anything physical, and Kyoya himself didn't like getting his hands literally dirty.

"Er, I wonder who's gonna win..." Judai murmured as he tilted his head, as the match seemed...so slow.

It took about fifteen minutes of silence, Judai and Fubuki half asleep and Jim focused on them with Asuka texting on her phone. A shout was heard as Kyoya was then slamming his piece down, and was smirking.

"Checkmate,"

Ryo's eye twitched for a second and then roared, flipping the chess table as Fubuki and Judai woke up.

"Impossible!" Ryo then pointed a finger at him, "I demand a rematch! I-" He then placed a hand over his heart and Fubuki appeared behind him, wheeling him away.

"Alright Mr. Grumpy. Time to take your medicine and take your nappy-poos~" The older Tenjoin sang out and was exiting the room with a convulsing and flailing Ryo.

"...Did that REALLy just happen?" Asuka looked at Jim, who shrugged in confusion.

Kyoya smirked as he then chuckled, walking to Judai and wrapping his arms around him, "I consider this a victory then," He then leaned closer to his boyfriend with a devilishly smile, "So, what's my prize for winning?"

"Eh?" Judai blinked as he then looked sheepishly, "I-I dunno, w-what do you want as a prize?"

Kyoya then smiled innocently, "Well I'm so glad you asked~"

Jim and Asuka took this time to sneak away, as Judai started to sweat.

Oh boy, what did I get myself into now...?
