Ruby sits in front of the fireplace, drinking some hot chocolate. Jaune sits down next to her, with his own hot chocolate, and wraps a blanket around the two of them. Ruby takes another sip of her hot chocolate, getting some whip cream on the tip of her nose. Jaune smiles and uses his thumb to wipe away the whip cream.
"Thank you." Ruby says.
"No problem." Jaune says.
The two continue to watch the wood in the fire crack and break. Outside, snow blows fiercely, blinding anyone or anything that is outside. The wind howls as it moves the snow around on the ground. Jaune had asked Ruby if she wanted to go skiing. Ruby said yes. After a while of skiing, a nasty snowstorm blew in, leaving everyone who is there, stranded in the lodge.
It is almost midnight, and there are not many people are still up and about. Ruby couldn't sleep because the wind kept waking her up, so Jaune decided the two have some hot chocolate and sit by the fire. Maybe it would help her fall sleep. There is a sudden clap of thunder. Both Jaune and Ruby jump.
"Was that thunder?" Jaune says.
"Yeah…, Yeah I think so. I've heard that it can thunder sometimes during a snowstorm." Ruby replies.
There is another clap of thunder. Ruby turns back around to watch the fire, while Jaune stays watching the window light up. The storm outside is still fierce. Ruby yawns, and rests her on Jaune's shoulder.
"Tired?" He says and looks down at her.
Ruby nods her head yes.
"Then you should go to your room and sleep. We have a long drive tomorrow to get back to Beacon. I'll see you in the morning. Take the blanket with you."
Ruby nods again, and stands up with the blanket around her. Before heading up to her room, she places a quick peck on his cheek.
"Night." She says with a smile.
"Night." He replies, he too with a smile.

Ruby chews on her bagel as she waits for Jaune to come outside so the two can leave. She is also waiting outside so she can pelt him with the snowballs hidden behind her bag. Ruby sees him finally come out after she finishes the last bite of her bagel. He is looking down at a map, so he does not notice Ruby grabbing a handful of snowballs.
"Hey Jaune!" Ruby shouts.
Jaune looks up and is hit in the face with a cold snowball. Jaune wipes away the snow from his face, only to get hit again in the shoulder by another snowball. He puts the map in his pocket, and makes his own snowball. Ruby goes to throw another snowball at Jaune, but he dodges her attack. He throws his own snowball at her, hitting her in the arm. The two keep pelting each other with snowballs, till Jaune slips on my ice and falls to the ground. Ruby walks up over to him.
"You okay?" She asks and sticks her hand out to him.
"I just landed on my tailbone, I'll be good." He answers, and takes her hand.
As Ruby helps lift Jaune up, he loses his footing again, and falls back to the ground, taking Ruby down with him.
"You goofball." Ruby says.
"You love me for it." Jaune grins.
"That I do." Ruby says and places a kiss on his forehead "Now, come on you goofball, let's go back to Beacon.

So, this is my first fluff piece, so it is small, and not all to great. Yes, I ship these two, always have. I named it 'Lancaster' after the house during 'the war of the roses'. Lancaster symbol was a red rose (Ruby) and this was in the 1400s (i believe) so their where knights (Jaune). I do still ship Arkos, but I do NOT ship White Rose. So, enjoy
