Naruto could only stare at the old woman, his eyes narrowed into slits from behind his blindfold. He had no idea how she could have figured it out so much but then again, it was true. His parents had no siblings and he himself was an only child… Though damn it, it bothered him, couldn't the woman have gone with reincarnation but no, she still knew who he was and was so damn persistent about the whole damn thing and of course, there was his little slip up when… her name was mentioned…

"What's going on?" asked Hinata, causing Naruto to turn to her. How could he tell her who it was that betrayed him? He didn't think that he could do it to her though, he knew that nothing could be done and that it was bound to have happened sooner or later.

Letting out a soft sigh, Naruto sat down on a nearby chair as he said "why don't you ask your grandmother? She sure seems to believe she knows a lot. Or, better yet why don't you ask Hina?! She would know a hell of a lot more about all of this!" He had said her name with nothing but venom in his voice. He never wanted to speak of her again, his heart ached with the pain of her betrayal and it never faded. In fact, it almost seemed like his desire to kill was increasing and he wanted to kill this woman. "Go ahead Mina, to and ask your damn sister about how she betrayed me!"

"I can't idiot!" shouted Mina.

"And why the fuck not huh!? She feeling the guilt about betraying someone that she had claimed to fucking love but in reality just waited for the chance to have me killed?!" shouted Naruto, his fangs started to appear, as did his claws. His anger and rage caused his human appearance to fade and his demonic appearance to appear.

Mina glared at Naruto, her eyes filled with hate and pain as they shined with unshed tears. "Hina's dead Naruto… she's been dead for a hundred years."

Those words were like a splash of water on his face… Hina… Hina was dead? Hina died a hundred years ago? But… that didn't make sense? She had a chance to live a long life much like her sister was right now and yet… This was happening? It didn't make sense to him, yet it had caused him to slump in his seat a bit. "She… she's dead?" He whispered in shock.

Mina nodded, saying "she died after the elders claimed they had saved your soul with your death." Naruto clenched his hands into fists, how could this happen? Did the elders kill her because she was dating him or was it something else? He had no idea, though he wanted to know what it was though… damn it, he was glad he killed the elders. Sure, he was still mad at Hina for her betraying him all those years ago but, he would never have wished death upon her. That thought had never crossed his mind.

"Why would the elders kill her? She was so devoted to the rules of the city… there was no way that they would have done something like that to her." Naruto whispered, his heart was aching, and he had no idea why it was. He had long since given up the hope of seeing Hina, of having any kind of future with her and now, all of this had happened… Why was he brought to this city?! Was it just to hear that the woman he once loved was killed after he was claimed to have been killed off? Damn it… Damn it!

Mina though shook her head, causing Naruto to look up at her in confusion. What was that supposed to mean? Eyes widening, he heard and wished that she had never uttered those words…

"Hina killed herself to be with you in death."

Forget the water splashing him in the face, it was as if someone had just tossed him in the damn ocean. Hina… committed suicide? No… that can't be true… Hands clutching into tight fists, Naruto slammed it onto the table, listening as the wood creaked from the strain, he was thankful that he held back some of his strength. "You're lying! Hina lived a long and happy life! I know she did! She was happy and had many children with her husband!" shouted Naruto, his voice choking up on the sobs that he could not let out yet were fighting their way to escape.

Shaking her head, Mina said "I'm sorry but it's true. Hina could not live with herself when she heard you died. She wanted to live with you Naruto, she wanted a future with you and not to have you in that future, she couldn't live with herself… she felt so much guilt over your death." Naruto sat there for what felt like forever… No one could read his expression, it seemed as if his entire body had shut down on him… then, he started to let out a dark and angry growl.

"Why…?" he whispered before standing up onto his feet and turning to Mina's direction. It seemed that now, his anger would be directed onto her, at least for the time being. "Why didn't you stop her?! She was your sister! You should have stopped her! You could have saved her and this is what ends up happening!? You did nothing to save your own damn sister!" shouted Naruto, his eyes glowing through the blindfold, how it is just now starting to burn is rather amazing, now revealing his demonic eyes to the older woman.

Though, Mina was not impressed with Naruto's anger… nor was she afraid of his glowing demonic eyes. "You don't think I didn't try to help me sister? I tried to tell her that everything would be okay. We asked the elders where your body was and went to see if we could save you… but your body was gone before we could do anything… After Hina died… all the elders and anyone involved with your death just suddenly were found ripped apart and everyone feared it was your ghost haunting them all because there were always a glimpse of you somewhere with glowing eyes… To think you've become a demon… I knew you were no good for my sister."

"Fuck you! Hina meant the world to me, she was all I had left after my parents died! After I told her what I was going to do she… she…" He tightly shut his eyes as tears started to fall down his face, the young man fell to his knees…. A hundred years of pain and torment finally broke free, the pain he held because the woman he loved had betrayed him and he had almost been killed as the result… "She betrayed me and never really loved me…"

"You fool, she tried to save you…" Mina said while crossing her arms over her chest, this, had caused Naruto to look up in shock. "Allow me to explain what happened… I may be old but my memory is still sharp as a blade…"

Mina stared at her sister and Naruto. Her sister had short blue hair, beautiful lavender coloured eyes and wore a beautiful purple dress. To be honest, even though they were identical twins, her sister had a beauty that no one could really understand. Her soul itself was part of her beauty and that was what made her so beloved by all. Naruto though, he was hated by all because of his lack of following the rules. She had no idea what her sister saw in him though they were just so very happy together, and she would never stand in the way of Hina's happiness.

"Naruto… you know that is against the rules… You are not supposed to be doing this!" Hina said with concern and fear in her voice. It was easy to see that whatever it was that Naruto was going to do, it would cause him great problems in the future. His eyes though, looked so hallow and lifeless. It was as if he had gone through the most traumatizing he's ever seen in his entire life.

He looked up at Hina, his ghost of a smile appeared on his face as if he was trying to act like the old him but had a tough time trying to do just that. "Hina, I have to do this. I want my parents back and I will pay what price I have to in order to do just that." With that said, he kissed Hina's cheek before he started to walk away. Hina though, just stared with sadness on her face as she watched her boyfriend walk away. It seemed that Naruto's mind could not be changed, and for that it had her worried and concerned for her lover…

"Sister, what do you plan to do?" Asked Mina, for she saw an expression on her face that she knew, that Hina had a plan brewing. Suddenly, her eyes widened for she had a feeling on what her sister was going to do. "Hina, you aren't planning on telling the elders are you? You know they'll kill Naruto. I may not like him but even he doesn't deserve death."

Hina turned to her sister, a smile on her face as she said "no worries Mina. If they stop Naruto before he tries to summon the demon then… then they don't have a reason to kill him." Hina was so pure, it didn't matter if she was only trying to save Naruto this would not end very well. The elders hated Naruto and this would only give them a reason to finally kill them off and there would be nothing that they wouldn't do to the poor sad boy… "Everything will work out, I just know it!" Hina said with a bright and cheerful smile on her face.

It ended up not being the way she had hoped. Hina had gone to the elders and told them that Naruto was going to attempt to bring back his parents by summoning a demon. She had asked them to stop him before he could even do so, and to spare him. Hina and Mina had not heard about anything afterwards, and it had only been a few hours. The only thing they knew, was that Naruto had been hunted down in the city, personally, Mina had hoped that they would only contain him so that way he couldn't try again…

Sadly, that wouldn't work either…

Mina walked out of her home and overheard some of the elders speaking. Frowning, she made her way over to the elders and started to hear what it was that they were saying… and prayed that Hina would never know what it was that they were saying…

"It feels so good to be rid of him. That boy was nothing but trouble the moment he was born!" said one of the elders with a grin on his face.

"Indeed, Naruto had been nothing but a pain and even more so after his parents were murdered. To think, they were after something that his parents were keeping safe… and it was no longer there. Rather odd but hey, now the Uzumaki family are out of our hair."

That was cruel, did they hate Naruto and his family that much? What was the point in all of this anymore? The elders didn't care about anyone but themselves and trying to keep the image of a perfect city for the world to see. Narrowing her eyes, she was about to march over to them until a small sob came from behind her… Gulping, Mina slowly turned around and standing there, was Hina with tears streaming down her face. "Hina, what… what did you hear?" asked Mina.

Hina ran to the elders and grabbed onto the one's sleeve, tears streaming down her face. "What did you do!? I asked you to spare his life if he didn't summon the demon! There wouldn't have been enough time to even do that!" cried Hina.

The elder gently shoved Hina back before giving her a cold stare. It seemed that no matter what, they didn't really care about anyone but themselves. "He had no hope Hina. He would have died because of the spell that he was using. Even if he hadn't summoned a demon, he would only keep trying." He smirked a bit, it seemed that the man had enjoyed the thought of Naruto being dead now… "We purified his soul by killing him. His soul is now up for God to decide."

More tears started to stream down her sister's face. Mina made her way over to Hina and held onto her, for the young woman looked ready to fall over from her emotional pain. "Where is his body?" asked Mina.

"Near the edge of the city… You girls can do what you want for his body, he's dead either way." Laughed the elder before he, along with the other elder started to walk away. Mina looked at her sister and rubbed her back. They had to get to Naruto, there may be a chance to save him before it was too late. Grabbing Hina's hand, they started to run toward the edge of the city, if they both knew Naruto as much as they did, he would have tried to go south because it had the best way to escape from the city… There just had to be some way to get to him before it was too late. That was the only thing that mattered, Naruto was a loser but Hina, to Hina he was her entire world and her future.

It didn't take them long to get to the edge of the city… There was a stain of blood on the wall and the ground… but no sign of Naruto. Not even a trail of blood that would indicate that someone had found him and dragged him away. Hina fell to her knees in shock, more tears starting to roll down her cheeks as she started to cry into her hands. "What have I done!?" shouted Hina.

Mina knelt next to her sister, holding her close hoping that would be enough to calm down her sister, though it seemed… that not even that was enough to calm down her sister. Hina kept crying and crying as she tried to get herself to calm her twin down. Though, no matter what, Mina could do nothing to help her sister...

Helping Hina to her feet, they started to make their way back home. Letting out a soft yet sad sigh, Mina wondered what would happen for her sister now? It was easy to tell that there would be no future for herself and Naruto since he was gone, his soul now at the mercy of God… Maybe the only thing she could do, was to help Hina get through life one step at a time. "Mina… I… I'm just gonna go lay down for a while…" Hina had whispered to her sister… Mina frowned a bit but nodded. Maybe some sleep was something that Hina would need to relax.

"Okay, but if you need anything let me know okay?" Mina said with a soft smile on her face. Hina just nodded slowly before she started to make her way to her own room… Even she needed a nice nap as well… Yet, what she had witnessed when going to get her sister only a few hours later… left a scar on her soul forever.

"Hina!" shouted Mina as she stared at the hanging body of her sister. Hina had managed to grab her blankets and tied them up into a noose… Grabbed her chair and hung the noose through the rafters and then… hung herself. "No Hina!" cried out Mina, she rushed to her sister and got her down, hoping that it had been enough time to save her sister…

Yet, when she checked her pulse, and just felt how cold her skin was… Mina started to cry her eyes out. "NO! Why!? Why Hina!? Why did you have to kill yourself?!" shouted Mina, only to sniffle when she saw a note poking out from the shoulder of Hina's dress. Sniffling, she pulled out the note, and started to read it.

Dear Mina, I know you would have come to check up on me but just know, I did this to be with Naruto. He is the only man that I could ever love and… my soul wishes to be with him even in death. He was the light of my life and I feel nothing but guilt for causing his own death. I had wanted to only save him, I never wanted him dead. Please, bury me with what items that Naruto had given me but the amulet… I wish to keep that in our family… I hope, that someday you can forgive me for my actions and I hope that you live a long life my dear sister… Love Hina.

Mina crushed the letter in her hand, more tears falling as she tried to get herself to stop the pain in her heart. "Hina… you could have just lived a life with his memory in your heart… you didn't have to kill yourself!" cried Mina as she held onto Hina's cold body…

Naruto just stood there… Not able to believe what had just been told to him. How was it that this had all happened to Hina after he had told her all of this? She had only wanted to save him, and had made the elders promise to only stop him from doing anything… Yet, they had lied to her and ended up killing him or had at least attempted to kill him. Closing his eyes, he dug in his pocket for another blindfold before starting to make his way outside. He wanted to just… to just deal with the thoughts that had circled around his mind.

"Naruto…" Hinata had called out to him though she didn't follow him. Maybe she knew that he wanted to be left alone for now. As he sat down outside in the garden, he just wanted to think on what had happened…

After he had told Hina about his plans, she had told the elders so they would only stop him, not kill him. Yet, he was killed anyway, and as soon as Hina had found out… it had resulted in her own death… or the very least, her taking her own life. How could it have come to that? Of all things, why did she have to take her own life? And, had he been so worried for her that he had just made it up in his own mind that Hina had managed to find new love and lived a happy and long life? Yeah, he had done that to her…

"Hina… I'm so sorry for causing you so much pain. I hope, that when we meet again that you can forgive me for being alive still…" He whispered softly before covering his face. All the young man wanted, was to forget about all of his pain and torment… He just wanted to go back in time and stop himself from that terrible mistake and live with Hina forever. The kind of life that she had lived the life that she deserved.

Boy, don't you get it…? If you hadn't done what you did, the elders would have done something else to get rid of you… Hina would still be dead either way because they would have killed you and you would be dead for sure because you haven't summoned me… You can't mope around like this forever. said Kurama with a soft sigh.

Naruto just let out a sad sigh, not wanting to deal with the thoughts of Hina being dead. Sure, he had been mad at her for a hundred years but… to just suddenly find out that the woman you loved had killed herself in order to be with you… well, it had caused a great deal of pain to go into his heart. There had to be something that he could do for Hina, there just had to be something that he could do for the woman he had once loved… Closing his eyes, the young man just looked up at the sky as he said "Hina, what would you want me to do… to make up for your sadness?"

"Naruto…?" came a voice, causing Naruto to turn quickly and stare at someone who was standing behind him. His eyes were wide, thinking that Hina's spirit had appeared to him to let him know what it was that he would have to do for her… Though, just as quickly as the image appeared, it had disappeared and Hinata was the one that was standing before him. "You okay? I'm… I'm so sorry about what happened to Hina, and I don't know the kind of pain that you're going through but, I hope… you can cope and I will help you as well as I can…"

To be honest, Naruto didn't know what he could do… He had no idea why Hinata looked just like Hina, the only difference really is that Hinata had long hair while Hina had short hair. It all just seemed rather confusing for him, though he knew that there was just something about Hinata that drew him to her. Yet, he just couldn't really be sure as to what it would be… He would have to find a way to get Kurama to be removed from his body, without it killing him in the end. There just had to be a way to do this without it killing him… and he'll find a way to do it.

Inhaling softly, he whispered "I'm fine Hinata… I just don't know what I can do. I just found out that the woman I had loved killed herself to be with someone who turns out to have never died but became a half-demon." Looking back up at the sky, the young man added "I know I was brought here, because someone was trying to summon Kurama, but… I just don't know if there was another reason for it." He had hoped that it was only that someone was trying to summon Kurama, though he just had a weird feeling that it was something else that was going to cause him some kind of trouble or distress…

Stop being so emo Naruto! Just accept this, Hinata is someone that you would be happy with. There is a good chance that Hinata, is Hina reincarnated, why else would she look just like her?

And how would you know what she looks like?

I went through your memories… Think about it boy, why else would you be so drawn to her other than to keep her safe from someone who had wanted to take me from your body? It is the only thing that makes sense Naruto. Just relax… and protect Hinata, see where it goes from there. suggested Kurama, his voice sounding a little irritated at the moment though he knew that there would be something more to this than what was led on at the moment.

Letting out a soft sigh, the young man pushed himself up onto his feet before he looked down at Hinata. "Hinata, right now the only thing I'm focused on is to keep you safe. Those shadow creatures are after you for some reason and I will make sure that you are protected… I won't let you down, this I promise you." Which, was true… he didn't want to let Hinata down, though he just hoped and prayed that no matter what, nothing would ever bring harm to Hinata. That was the last thing that he wanted from her, was for the young woman to get hurt because of him.

Yet, from what Naruto had learned as a half-demon, is that somewhere along the road was that someone always got hurt, though he would do what he could… to make sure that it never happened. He could never forgive himself if Hinata got hurt… He would only end up blaming himself if that happened. Pulling Hinata close, he just wanted to hold something, even if it's just for a moment, he just wanted to hold onto something, or someone… even if it was only for just a moment. 'Hinata, I promise… I will protect you…'
