Elijah stood just out of the way as he watched his brother throw one of his normal tantrums when he was upset. He knew how his brother worked. Whenever he started to feel something that he didn't want to feel or like he became upset and went on a rampage. This time instead of people getting their hearts ripped out or drained to death he considered Klaus' destruction of the home far better than the waste of life.

He listened to his brother's ramblings about being beyond love and caring. That he wasn't weak and that he should not feel shame or guilty for what he did. He knew that Klaus was trying to fight the overwhelming feelings that were always buried underneath his tough exterior. That when it came to his brother Klaus would always feel love, pain, sadness, angry, or any other emotion. He also knew that no matter how hard Klaus tried, that Klaus could never turn off his emotions do to being a hybrid. Klaus would always feel no matter what he said or did.

When Klaus threw the finally piece of furniture against the wall he felt no satisfaction. Exhausted mentally he leaned against a wall and slide down to the ground. He was sitting with both knees bent and arms resting on them when with his head down when he felt a slight coolness. Taking the tumbler of alcohol that was given to him by Elijah he tipped his head back and swallowed in one go. As he held the glass in front of him he watched as his broth refilled his and then his own glass.

"I know that I can't understand what you are felling, brother," Elijah started, "with you being torn. We are all shocked and confused by the events that have led up to this, but even if she had lied about her name don't you think the rest is true? The time she spent with us was real. The time you had with her was real. I could see the connection of you two the moment I saw you together. Your inner wolf and vampire have found their mate. Wither she be Bonnie or Emily she is still the girl that had a raging heart only for you."

Klaus sipped silently as he listened to his brother thinking about his final hours with Bonnie. How he had tried to get her to stay and remembering how she felt she had a duty and that she couldn't leave her family and friends until she was sure they could protect themselves. He also remembered how she promised once she was sure the people she loved could protect themselves she would find him. He hadn't believed her, but then she skinned his lips and said, "I'll find you anywhere. You're in my blood" and they had made love for the final time.

He scoffed at his thinking, love, who really needed it, but he could feel his wolf pacing always pacing looking for chance moments to show himself to merge with his being. It always felt like he had two people inside him. The cold hearted fearless vampire and the caring, but ferocious wolf both dangerous in their own right, but unable to truly become one. And as he sat in silence with his brother Klaus was able to think back on his actions that night and regret finally started to kick in. Had he made a mistake he asked himself and realized that he may have and he felt hollow inside.

It was three days and Bonnie had yet to wake up. Rebekah had made her way home twice to her family only to get fresh cloths and blood and during those times when she saw Klaus she gave him a cold blank stare. Klaus could honestly say that this was the most distant he had ever been to his sister, his pride and joy and even Hayley a woman he had help in rising even looked at him differently.

Klaus knew that everyone was wanting for Bonnie to wake up, but she laid there in the same position she was in protected by magic. His mother had said that she was in a magical coma and was healing herself and that when the time was right she would wake up. Klaus didn't have much hope in that and feared the worse and was regretting his actions even more.

He had also learned over the few days that Bonnie was sleeping that he had, in fact, been wrong about her plotting against him. He had learned from Elijah who was able to talk to her blonde friend that the group who started the ambush wasn't with them and were old friends until a recent fallout and that the attack was created just to ruin the meeting and cause damage. He wanted to find out more about what happened, but Elijah had suggested that they wait until Bonnie woke up to see what she wanted to do. Klaus didn't want to wait for the revenge he wanted to inflict on the people who ambushed and tricked him into attacking his love, but he knew that he had to.

Klaus signed as he thought of Bonnie as his love. He didn't do love, but he had this weird sensation in his chest just like he had for his family, but on a higher and stronger level. He knew he fucked up so he stood before an easel and was making angry slashes across the canvas he knew that he had to get his feelings under control once again. He could feel the wolf in him flooded with emotions that he was not use to feelings and he felt that as the strongest creature in the world that he should not feel such human emotions.

It was only the times he had with Bonnie when he first met her that he really felt anything come to life and now he was having those same emotions along with quilt and regret which he rarely if ever had and only then with family. What was with this young woman that made his wolf side come awake after so long? What power than she wielded that made him fall for her? Was it the way she moved and looked that night or was it the way her eyes glowed as they meet across the room for the brief seconds before she had spun herself onto the day floor? Or maybe it was how free and unbothered she looked that had attracted him? As he painted his strokes became bolder and he worked furiously against the canvas as he went into a trace.

He stood before his canvas and looked at what he had painted a beautiful lake front with a woman and child at play. As he looked he realized the woman was Bonnie. Looking up from the painting he saw the scene before him his Bonnie and a little boy no more than 4 or 5 being chased by her.

"Silly Mommy you can't catch me," the little boy giggled.

"Oh, you think so Henrik," Bonnie replied as she continued to chase the boy around.

The boy giggled some more before running towards him. He stood fascinated until the little boy yelled, "Daddy save me from Mommy."

He was smiling and was just about to reach out when he saw the look on her face, "Nik, watch out," was the only warning he had before he left the searing pain of his heart being gripped and being pulled. He turned to look over his shoulder just in time to see himself. "Time for you to die for good," was the only thing he heard as he watched his mirror self vamp out and finished the process of ripping his heart from his chest.

Bonnie smiled as she chased her son around. She knew it was him because he looked too much like his father with just a hint of her. They were playing and having fun. They had been like this for a while just her and her son in their dream world. When she had first met him he was sitting at a table coloring and when she approached him he had looked up and gave her the biggest smile she had ever seen. "Hi Mommy, you up," was all he said as he went back to coloring. As the time went by in the dreamscape she was always with her son, but this time Nik was there and he was painting. Something he had told her he really enjoyed once.

They were by a lake and she chased he baby around and around when he giggled at her and said, "Silly Mommy you can't catch me."

"Oh, you think so Henrik," she told him as she made a dash to him. She watched as her bundle of energy and joy ran towards his father who was now looking and smiling at them.

"Daddy save me from Mommy," her son yelled as he ran and reached for his father.

As Nik was bending to pick up their son Bonnie watched in horror as he was approached from behind, "Nik, watch out." She yelled and watched his mirror self step forward and punched his fist through his back into his chest. She let out a terrifying scream as she watched Nik's heart being pulled out as his mirror self said, "Time for you to die for good."

Bonnie heard her son let out a yell before running back to her, "Mommy he hurt Daddy," was the only thing she heard before cold dark pulsing eyes turned towards her. As clutched her son to her as she watched Klaus step towards them and as he came forward she stretched out her hand and allowed a spell to escape her before she gasped and jolted up in bed clutching her stomach. She was confused, but when she saw the faces in the room she relaxed. "Garms, Care," were the only words she uttered before she collapsed back into a deep sleep.
