Beloved, one who is loved.

To anyone that name would sound so pure, happy, and over all a true blessing. Sadly that is far from the truth. It is a curse, twisted and broken. So I'll say it again.

Beloved, one who is loved.

It doesn't say anything about being capable of love, just the fact that they are showered by it. But when you're indulged in something so much, for so long, you start to lose the taste and need for it.

...

Loveless, one without love.

Now, doesn't that sound terribly awful? This is a name that truly sounds like a curse. Emphasis on sounds.

Loveless, one without love.

This is in fact a blessing in disguise. Someone who has never loved and has never been loved, can only produce the purest form of love. Wholeheartedly and completely, without the need of anything in return.

...

Beloved and Loveless, Loveless and Beloved.

Two very different names, with two very different meanings and belonging to two very different people. Of course with how ironic life works, these two happen to be brothers.

Seventeen year old Aoyagi Seimei and twelve year old Aoyagi Ritsuka.

Seimei claims that he loves his brother and there is nothing wrong with that, aside from the fact that it is more than brotherly. Now does he really love him? Or does he just want what the other has? What the other can still feel?
