AN: First i would like to apologize about how long this chapter took. i had writers block for the longest time and did not know how to proceed. this chaper is more on the OC character Dom and his background as well as were he was during the Ivan Ooze incident. this chapter creates a plot twist that i thought of a long time in some of the other rough drafts of stories that i am thinking of writing. this may cause people to be upset and flame me but it is their own opinion. now on with the story.

Family is family

Dom was underneath a desk with a computer panel open. A teacher had somehow managed to fry a circuit board through unknown means and he was replacing it. after closing it up Dom headed outside to assist with dismissal. Kira was sitting on the lawn area in front playing her guitar. The Cyber cafe was closed for today due to renovations at Hayleys request after it being thrashed in the latest monster attack. Dom figured this would be the time to tell his family he was alive starting with his cousin and sister in Blue bay.

"Hey Kira waiting for your ride?" Dom asked

"Hey Mr. Wilson, Yeah I am." Kira said hiding the fact that they were friends

"who is coming to pick you up?" Dom asked

"my mother. She gets just got off of work so she plans on picking me up."

"Good to hear. You adjusting to everything that has been going on?"

"yeah, if you and Dr. O were here, we would have lasted this long."

"tell me about it. you three had the roughest start out of all of us, besides the evil ones."

"what about you? You nearly died before you became a ranger." Kira said assertively. Dom started to laugh

"Kira, I have the largest amount of close calls in this line of work. I have been to the hospital 6 times due to injury. 3 were near fatal

"is that why Kim and Kat was pissed when they found out you were a ranger?"

"Yep. My body has been worn down in the past really badly. You saw how they acted when I was hurt.

"what were the first two times?"

"the second time you heard from Karone. She broke 4 ribs and ruptured my spleen. The first time was the closet I have never come to dying. It was when I was 14."

"what happened?"

"it was when the command center was invaded by a being of evil named Ivan Ooze."

Flashback

Dom watched the viewing globe as the rangers fought the unknown creatures. He looked over at Zordon who was worried. Ivan Ooze had managed to escape. Dom was currently trying to locate him.

"Don't worry Dominic. This command center is protected so that nobody can get in here." Alpha said

They heard a sound coming from the door. Ivan Ooze liquidifed him self and was breaking in.

"well almost nobody." Alpha gulped

"well Z, nice place you got here. 6000 years can really change a place." Ivan said

"Ooze why are you Here?" Zordon said

"just paying a visit to an old enemy."

"you are not welcome here."

"what I can stretch my legs like anyone else. Do you know what being trapped in a rotten egg does to a person? I got a Charlie horse 2000 years ago. I am here to make sure you don't interfere."

Alpha charged him. Ivan merely touched him and he short-circuited.

"Get out." Dom said

"Well looky here Zordon has a pet."

Ivan started on a rampage destroying the command center. The connection to Zordon was fading. Dom charged Ivan. Ivan smirked before unleashing his wrath on Dom. Electirc shocks tore through Dom's body as Ivan tortured him. Ivan tossed him into the nearest computer then shocked him some more. Zordon watched in horror as his surrogate Son was dying. Ivan's attention on Dom only lasted 2 minutes before destroying the command center and killing Zordon

20 minutes later the Rangers came in to the scene. They looked around at the destruction.
"what happened here?" Rocky asked

"Look, over there." Adam pointed to the destroyed alpha in the corner.

"Alpha was destroyed." Billy said sorrowfully

"DOM! NO!" Kim screamed as she ran to him. his body was badly burned. Blood was pooling from his injuries."

The others ran up to her. Tommy was holding on to Kim as she cried. His anger started to swell.

"God damnit!" Rocky said kicking a piece of rubble

"Who could have done this? Rita and Zedd were never this cruel." Billy said

"or this through." Adam said

"Is he still alive?" Aisha asked

"barely. We need to get him to a hospital."

"look at Zordon's tube."

The six rangers ran to Zordon and listened to his last words before he died

Tommy and Kim rushed Dom over to the Stone Canyon hospital.

End flashback

"I was in a coma for two weeks." Dom said as Kira stared

"no wonder Dr. Oliver and Kim were distraught after you were attacked."

Kira looked over at the Parking lot as her mother pulled up. She started to walk over to the car when her mom turned it off and walked over. She saw that her mother was angry and upset at something. Kira looked over at Dom and he stared with a blank look but he was cringing. Kira's mom took one look at him and slapped him hard. She had tears in her eyes. Kira gasped and the hostility towards Dominic.

"you asshole, why did you not say anything to anybody that you were alive." Kira's mom said

"Mom, what is going on? do you know Mr. Wilson?"

"Kira, I have known him since he was a little kid and so have you. You probably don't remember since you were little."

Dom was massaging his cheek. He looked over at the woman who assaulted him

"It's been a long time… Aunt Megan." Dom said as Kira went into shock. Kira's mom Megan then hugged Dom harder than ever.

"you idiot, why after all this time?" She asked

"My dad was an asshole and him dying set me free to do what I wanted. I know it was selfish of me but I did it because I did not want to be held back from doing the things I wanted and needed to do."

" he is my cousin?"

"of course Kira. You used to play with him all the time when I went to vist my sister in Angel grove."

"and You knew?" Kira looked at Dom

"yeah pretty much. I soon as I laid eyes on you I realized who you were. Sorry for lying to you."

Kira slapped him then hugged him.

"Better?" he asked

"Better." Kira said

"Dominic, I take it your heard about your mother then?" Mrs. Ford asked

"yeah. she passed away 2 years ago."

"your Sister is in Blue bay harbor if I remember right."

"when I have time I will go looked for her."

Dom said bye to Kira and his aunt. Kat drove by to pick him up in her new car. Dom hurried to the car because out of the corner of his eye he saw Cassidy Cornell the resident gossip queen and wannabe news reporter.

"Did you have a fun day at work?" Kat asked

"Yeah, I did. I also told Kira the truth about me." Dom said

"the truth? About what?"

"her being my cousin."

"Really?" Kat asked

"Yeah. Her mother came by and confirmed it. she also confirmed my mother passed away." Dom said looking down. Kat leaned over and kissed him on the forehead. Dom looked up and smiled at her.

"where was she buried?"

"Blue Bay. She grew up there. it's about an 30 minutes north of here."

Kat nodded and the drove up to Blue Bay harbor. Dom bought some flowers to lay at hois mothers grave. Kat stood by her Car as Dom walked slowly to his mothers grave a few seconds later he stood in front of it. the finality of her death was starting to sink in. he read the gravestone

Dom Knelt down and placed the flowers at the edge

"Mom, Sorry It took so long to find you. It's me your son Dom. As you can See I am alive and well. Sorry I did not Visit sooner but I have been busy. As you have been watching me for a while now you can probably guess what I have been up to. I made it my mission to protect this planet and the people on it. In the process though I hurt you and Tori the most." Dom started to cry. "Me leaving after Dad dying was the hardest thing I ever did. I realized I had a higher calling in my life. I made a new family and friends. I never managed to find you until it was too late. My adopted older sister and her friends took care of me in your stead. I know that the divorce has hard on the family but we tried to make it work. Dad drank himself to an early grave and you were too far away to know until I vanished. I also met this wonderful beautiful girl. Her name is Katherine. You would have liked her. You would have liked all my friends that I have. they made me into the man I am today. Sure the lifestyle I lead today is dangerous but I rather do it myself then rely on others."

Dom Put his hands in his pockets and stared for a minute when he heard footsteps coming behind him. he looked out of the corner of his eye and saw a girl about 17 years of age. She looked at him then walked to the grave and placed flowers there.

"you visiting my mother too?" she asked. Dom realized who was in front of him. in front of him was his younger sister Victoria Hanson.
"Yeah. hadn't talked to her in a while. I figured now was a good a time as any to come see her."

"you knew my mother?" Tori asked

"I did. I also know who you are Tori." She looked at him

"you seem familiar to me I cant' quite place it. have we met before?"

"we use to see each other all the time until you moved away from Angel Grove."

"that was a long time ago. What did you say your name was?" Tori asked eying him

"Dominic." He said. She froze then looked at him. she strained to see a resembelence.

"Dom? Is that really you?" Tori asked nearly in tears

"Yeah, it's me." Dom said as he moved closer and hugged her. She let the walls come down and she wailed and cried as hard as the day her mother died. Dom hugged her tight and brushed her hair comforting her. She gripped tighter and did not want to seem to want to let go. Dom looked down at his sister.

"you matured into a fine young lady, tori."

Tori shifted in his arms. Kat walked towards the siblings. Dom looked at her. Tori looked at her then at him.

"Her name is Katherine. She is my Girlfriend. She was one of the first girls I ever meet that could put up with me."

"please you are not hard to deal with." Kat said smiling. "you are just little Crazy that's all."

"wait my brother who was very socially awkward actually has a girlfriend." Tori said not letting go.

"I blame the Girls who help raised me. They dragged me everywhere. They thought of me as a little brother and put me on the straight and narrow."

"that we did though Kim did it the best." Kat said smiling

"Dom, where are you living right now?" Tori asked

"Reefside. I am the IT Director at the High school part time and a private contractor in my spare time."

"who do you have contracts with?" Tori asked

"Sorry Tori that is classified."

"so still keeping secrets all these years." Tori said

"Yeah, sorry. My life is complicated."

"well, I live her in town with my Guardian so feel free to stop by when you can." Tori said and walked off.

"she's mad." Kat said

"I know. I figured that this was going to happen. I will take my time in trying to get to know her better since I left."

"She looked familiar." Kat said

"That's because she is a former ranger was well. Ninja storm from last year."

"that's what I thought. boy now you have three female rangers that you have to deal with. How do you plan on dealing with us when we are mad.

"Shopping." Dom said deadpanned. Kat just looked at him and laughed. They left the graveyard after a while for the trip back.
