Yami chuckled as Bakura crossed his arms, slouching in the booth they were sitting in. They were at Egypt, the newest club on the block. Yami and Bakura had been invited by their friend Malik, who was the club owner. Malik had been working on this club for months and it showed, as the club was packed right now. The inside was simple: the walls and floors were black, with strobe lights everywhere. There were booths on the outskirts of the dance floor, with soft seats and a table in the middle. The bar was the right side of the dance floor with the DJ diagonally from it. Yami looked up at the second floor, where there were just tables were people could stand and do shots together while having a private club experience. He knew that Malik were planning to do fun activities on the weekends like have paint drumming and glow in the dark nights. A good club that had a drink limit and only dealt in clean fun. Malik didn't want anything dirty in his club or the police at his door. Yami knew he would be coming here often.
Yami smirked at Bakura, "Oh cheer up, you know that Malik really wanted us here for opening night. You know you didn't have anything to do tonight but draw your 'angel'"
Bakura gave him the middle finger and grumbled, "Shut up. You're the same with that stupid author of yours."
Yami didn't say anything, he just sipped his whiskey. "Anyways, how's that collection of yours coming along? I know the theme is spring and that it's due in two weeks."
Bakura snorted and took a large gulp of his gin. He set down his glass and propped his head against his hand, smushing his cheek. "Fucking bastards want five pieces and they have to have my angel in them. Then they also want five pieces that have to do with the theme Heaven for a surprise auction after the collection is shown, as if I just made them and was waiting to bring them out." He gripped his hair, "I've done four pieces but I have to go out and buy more flowers for inspiration."
Yami rose his eyebrows. "Damn, they want to bleed you dry."
Bakura nodded, "Hell yeah they do but after this contract, I can tell them to fuck off since I have another contract lined up. It's for a private client who wants themselves as a Dual Monster." Yami perked up, swirling his drink around. "Oh? Which one? You can tell a lot about a person with their deck."
"Chill with you and your deck shit," Bakura rolled his eyes, "Hiroto told me that the client really liked Dark Magician and Chaos Soldier."
Yami raised an eyebrow, "Oh? Those are powerful cards that requires a quick mind. Your client is either crazy or a nice guy. I would like to think nice guy."
"Whatever. It's good money though."
Yami laughed, Bakura was so filthy rich so it was funny to hear him talk about money when he didn't care about it. He finished off his whiskey and saw Malik make his way to their booth. "Look who finally shows up."
Malik rolled his eyes and stole Bakura's drink, ignoring his yell of protest. He took a sip before making a face, "God this gin is horrible, I don't know how you drink this shit."
Bakura took back his drink, "Shut the fuck up, you sell this shit." Malik waved Bakura's words. "Whatever." He motioned to the dance floor, "So what do you think?"
Yami shrugged his shoulders, "It's pretty nice place Malik. Who decorated it because I know you suck at picking colors."
Malik pushed Bakura aside, slinging his arm behind Bakura. "Oh I know a guy, who's really good at simple modern decor. I could give you his number if you want."
Yami shook his head, he was fine with his place. Malik leaned forward, "Are you guys going to get on the dance floor? I see some pretty hot bodies out there." He smirked, making eye contact with Yami. "Ones with big innocent eyes."
Yami blushed, "Shut the fuck up Malik." He didn't need to be kink shamed. He looked out into the crowd and pursed his lips in thought. "I'll dance but who will take care of this sourpuss?"
Malik chuckled, "I got it covered." Malik leaned over and whispered into Bakura's ear, whose eyes widened. He turned to Malik, who winked. "Where?"
Yami was confused as Malik pointed out someone out in the dance floor. He tried to look and see who it was but he got distracted by Bakura's wailing. Yami watched him push Malik out the booth and disappear out into the crowd. Yami looked at Malik in amazement, "How did you do that?"
Malik wiggled his eyebrows, "I got a text from Otogi, Hiroto's boyfriend, that Bakura's angel was going clubbing tonight. He's out there right now, all decked out in leather with his friends."
Yami chuckled, "I see. Well, since he's out there, I'll go ahead and go out into the dance floor. You coming?"
Malik shook his head. "I gotta check on my bartender and see if he's doing well. I'm thinking about offering wine so I gotta also get his opinion about choices."
Yami tilted his head, "You should get in touch with Seto. He could give you some suggestions on cheap but delicious wines to sell."
"I'll do that. But you should get going. I saw this really cute guy, just your type. He's over by the DJ, with Bakura's angel and a really hot blonde guy. He's got cool purple eyes and looks a little like you, which is weird but you're weird too."
Yami rolled his eyes, "Thank Malik, I'll check him out."
Yami left Malik in the booth as he joined the crowd. He dodged sweaty bodies, flinching away from really ugly men and women. He declined any offer to dance as he searched for the guy Malik was talking about. He saw Bakura watching someone and Yami looked to see a Bakura look-alike. Yami watched the Bakura look-alike, who seemed to have fun dancing with his friends. Yami saw him punch another guy's shoulder before laughing loudly. Yami watched the friend turn around to shake his butt at the Bakura look-alike and was stunned at how beautiful he was. Soft pale skin, luscious red lips and gorgeous amethyst eyes. This was the guy Malik was talking about and he was right, that guy was just his type. Yami made his decision. He moved past a girl who was trying to twerk next to him, and he inched his way to the man. Yami stopped a little bit away from the guy and started dancing, wanting to be noticed by that little hottie. He watched out the corner of his eye as the Bakura look-alike pointed at him and motioned his friend, a smirk growing on his mouth. The cutie glanced at Yami before whispering with his friend, blushing furiously. The tall blonde next to them hooked arms with the Bakura look-alike and seemed to get off the dance floor, leaving their friend alone.
This was the perfect opportunity to get closer as Yami watched the cutie move towards him. He wondered if the cutie knew him since he had a small grin on his face as he finally stood in front of Yami. Yami slowed his dancing down, holding out a hand. "Yami Sennen, wanna dance?"
Yugi giggled, which was like honey to Yami's ears. "Yugi Muto, I know who you are." Yugi took Yami's hand and laughed as Yami twirled him. Yami liked the way Yugi laughed, winking at him. "Oh? Do you now?"
Yugi moved closer, swaying his body to the beat of the music. "Who doesn't know the King of Games? I love watching you duel."
Yami's eyes sparkled, "Oh a fan, how exciting. Can you duel?" Yugi nodded, "Yeah but not as well as you can."
"Nonsense, I'm sure you're great at it. Maybe we should duel sometime, catch some lunch and get to know each other." Yami wondered if he was going fast but he was entranced by the little one in front of him. "What does my little one do for a living? Model? Sing?" Yami smirked as Yugi's cheeks grew rosy. "You must do something that shows off those amazing eyes of yours."
Yugi chuckled, batting Yami's shoulder. "Who knew the King of Games was such a flirt?" Yami leaned in, "Only with you."
Yugi rose an eyebrow, his heart melting from standing in front of Yami. "Oh I'm sure." Yugi didn't know where this confidence was coming from but he needed it so he wasn't complaining. "I work in computer design" Which was true, Yugi had graduated with a degree in computer designing, something that had surprised him since he had dreamed about getting a degree in archaeology. What had changed was Yugi's financial situation. His grandfather's game shop had been suffering and so instead of going to the best college for archaeology, Yugi stayed in Domino. Sometimes he felt regret but he knew that he wouldn't have changed anything, especially now that he had enough money so if he wanted to, he could study later.
Yami hummed, feeling bold enough to slip a hand onto Yugi's back and push him closer. "That sounds nice. Have you done anything big?"
Yugi nodded, rolling his hips against Yami's. "I created Industrial Illusions' new website as well as the new banners displaying their partnership with Kaiba Corp. It seems like Pegasus is ready to sell to Kaiba, doesn't it?"
Yami hummed, relishing the feel of Yugi against his body. "It does seem that way. Pegasus is getting old and I hear that Seto is tempting him by offering him a prototype of a new virtual reality simulator."
Yugi wrapped his arms around Yami as the music suddenly slowed down, turning into a small jazz beat that called for intimate and close dancing. Yami placed his hands on Yugi's hips and held back a moan as he felt Yugi wrap a leg around his. Yami felt Yugi's mouth near his ear, shivering at how cool his breath was. "Do you think Pegasus will sell?"
Yami gave into his urges and pressed a kiss on Yugi's neck, "If Seto has anything to say about it, then yes."
Yugi gasped softly, his hands going up into Yami's hair. The raven locks were soft to the touch as Yugi tugged on them as Yami nibbled on his neck. Yugi wanted to close his eyes and let Yami continue but this was neither the place nor the time, not with someone this important. Yugi let Yami worry at his neck for a couple more minutes before tugging him away. Yami rose an eyebrow at Yugi, who smiled sweetly. "Not that I don't want to keep going, I rather get to know you first. Is that ok?"
Yami blushed, not noticing that his self control had disappeared due to the beautiful person in front of him. "That's fine. I'm sorry for being so forward but you're gorgeous."
Yugi blushed, rolling his eyes. "My my, a kiss here and there renders even the most powerful of men useless huh?"
Yami chuckled, playing along with Yugi. "Especially with such an enchanting person. Let this useless body make it up to you by buying you a drink." Yugi giggled but let Yami guide him to the bar. Yugi took the chance while Yami was ordering to see where his friends were. He noticed that they were still dancing, shooing off others who tried to dance with them. Yugi smiled, this was turning out to be a great night out. "Yugi?"
Yugi turned to Yami and took the drink offered to him, "Thanks." He sipped the bright blue drink, sighing happily at the coconut taste. Yami chuckled, "Like it?"
Yugi nodded, taking an even bigger sip. "Yeah thanks. I don't like getting drinks where the alcohol tastes strong, I like fruity flavors. How about you?" Yami held out his drink, to which Yugi took a small sip from. He winced at the fake coffee flavor, cleaning his mouth with his own drink. Yami laughed at his face, "I prefer coffee and richer flavors of drinks. I also like drinking wine"
Yugi shook his head, "Can't do wine, gives me a massive headache afterwards." Yami clucked his tongue, "You poor thing, there are some amazing wines out there. You can live your wine tasting adventures through me if you want."
Yugi smiled, "You just want an excuse to drink more wine huh?" Yami shrugged his shoulders, finishing off his drink. Yami waited until Yugi was done with his drink before slipping his arm around Yugi's shoulder, his head looking down at Yugi. "How about we go back out on the dance floor?"
Yugi nodded, "Let's. Do you wanna meet my friends? I promise they won't bite."
Yami looked over at Yugi's friends and suddenly got an idea. He glanced around, trying to find Bakura. He found Bakura leaning against a wall, beer in his hand and eyes on his little look alike. Yami smirked before turning back to Yugi. "I'd like to but do you mind if I bring my friend? He and I came together and I think he might like your little friend with the white hair."
Yugi's eyes widened before he gave Yami a smirk. "Sounds ok to me. I'll go over to my friends and you bring over yours, ok?"
Yami nodded and Yugi made his way over to his friends, his cute hips gently swaying from side to side. Yami licked his lips before making his way to Bakura, who glared at him. "What?"
Yami shook his head, "Aren't you going to talk to him? That's the whole point of a club, you gotta mix and mingle. Don't you want him to know you?"
Bakura shook his head, Yami looked at him, his hand coming up to scratch his cheek. "Yugi invited us to come over and dance. This would give you a chance to get close to him." Bakura snorted, "Don't worry about me Yams, I have plans for my angel. But for now, it means that I can't meet him. Go take Malik, I'm sure he'd be happy to meet the blonde."
Yami rolled his eyes at Bakura being dramatic, "I would but Malik would probably hit on all three of them." Bakura rolled his eyes, sipping his beer. "I'm sure he would probably hump them if given the chance." Yami snickered, "True. Alright I'll go alone but if you change your mind, have the DJ play our regular song."
Bakura nodded, letting Yami leave and meet Yugi's friends. It wasn't that Bakura didn't want to meet his angel face to face but he wanted to do it on his terms. He wanted to make their first meeting something special. So as he watched Yami talk with his angel and his friends, Bakura planned for the perfect first meeting and for the perfect first date, both of which would have to be after he was done with his current painting contract. That way he had all the time he could want to paint something magnificent for his angel.
Yami moved his way through the club crowd, Yugi in his sights. He wished that Bakura had come with him but forcing Bakura was like pulling teeth. Yugi was talking to his blonde friend when Yami put his finger up to his mouth, telling his blond and white haired friend to be quiet as Yami put his hands on Yugi's back, "Boo!"
Yugi jumped, making a loud squeak as he turned around to see Yami. Jou and Ryou laughed as Yugi smacked Yami's shoulder and stamped his foot against the club floor. "Oh my god don't do that! You almost made me have a heart attack!" Yami couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the cute huffy face Yugi made. Yugi crossed his arms, turning his face away. Yami coughed into his hand, smiling brightly. "Don't be like that Little One, weren't you going to introduce me to your friends?"
Blushing at the nickname, Yugi pouted. Yami was just too gorgeous to stay mad at. "Fine I'll let you off easy this time." Yugi turned to Jounouchi, "This is Katsuya Jounouchi but we call him Jou. Jounouchi this is Yami Sennen" Yami held out his hand and Jou took it, testing out the strength of Yami's handshake. Yami smirked and gripped Jounouchi's hand a little stronger, making him wince, "Nice to meet you Jounouchi."
Jounouchi winced but nodded, happy to meet Yami. "Nice to meet ya." Jou got a smirk on his face and turned to Yugi, "Too bad you don't have your Dark Magician with you."
Yami rose an eyebrow as Yugi elbowed Jounouchi in the side, Ryou holding back an obvious laugh. Ryou stepped forward and held out his own hand, "Ryou Bakura, at your service."
Yami eyed Ryou before shaking his hand, interested in the fact that Ryou's last name was Bakura's first name. He would have to mention that to Bakura, he'd probably be over the moon ecstatic. "Nice to meet you but what's with the Dark Magician thing?"
Ryou watched Yugi blush as Jounouchi explained, "Yugi's favorite card is Dark Magician and totally wants you to sign it since you're the King of Games."
Yami hummed, taking Yugi's hand and kissing the back of it. "Is that so? Well anything for you Little One."
Jounouchi and Ryou looked at each other with big grins as Yami and Yugi smiled at each other. Jounouchi leaned over to whisper in Ryou's ear, his voice a bit weak from laughing. "I didn't think that we'd meet Yami here, did you?"
Ryou shook his head, "No but fate works in strange ways. Yugi got to meet Yami and you got to meet Seto Kaiba, I wonder who I'll meet."
Jounouchi snorted at Seto's name and shook his head, "If you're lucky, someone normal. The King of Games and CEO of Kaiba Corp. aren't titles that come with peace and quiet. I have a feeling that our lives are gonna be nuts for these next few weeks."
Ryou winced, "Probably." Ryou looked at his phone, wincing at the time. "It's almost midnight and I still have papers to grade." He watched as Jounouchi sighed, his hands coming up to his hips. "Yeah and I have to work the morning shift."
Ryou tilted his head to the side, "Don't you hate working the morning shift?"
Jounouchi grit his teeth, pulling his hands into fists. "I don't hate working mornings, I just hate working with that pompous Keith. He thinks that his food is the best and doesn't even bother to taste any of it, he just sends it out and when it comes back because the customer hated it, he blames it on me. Of course Mako doesn't believe him, so Keith just gives me dirty looks the rest of the time."
Ryou pursed his lips, "Have you thought about just telling Mako to not make you work with Keith?"
Jounouchi shook his head, "The restaurant is so busy, we need all the people we can. I'll just suck it up for now because Mako is thinking about expanding and if he does, he's gonna take me with him. So I'll wait for now."
Ryou smiled, "That's good for you Jou. But since it's getting late we should leave soon." Ryou turned to see Yugi smirk and take Yami into his arms, grinding their hips together. "And before those two have sex on the dance floor."
Jounouchi pouted, "But if we record it and sell it, we could make millions." Ryou gave him a flat face, "And have Yugi's grandpa eat us alive for dinner? I don't think so."
Jou and Ryou shivered at the last time Yugi's grandpa had gotten mad. It was the stuff of dreams and neither wanted to relive it. "Well you go and get Yugi, I don't want to get in between that...unless I get asked."
Ryou laughed and flipped Jou off (surprising Bakura in the background), moving to shake Yugi's shoulder. Yugi turned to Ryou, who had a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry to cut this short but it's getting late Yugi and you still have those pages you need to do."
Yugi groaned and let his head land on Yami's shoulder. "I don't wanna, Mai can go suck a dick."
Ryou put his hands on his hips. "She does on a regular basis unlike you. Now hurry up and give Yami your number so you can suck his later." And with that, Ryou went back over to Jou.
Yugi stared at Ryou's back, wondering where his innocent friend had gone. "Oh my god I've never heard him talk like that." He turned to Yami, who was also surprised. "Well um, let's ignore that ever happened. I've got to go but if you want, I can give you my number."
Yami's only response was to shove his phone into Yugi's face, "Please and who's Mai?"
Yugi didn't notice Yami's displeased voice as he tapped his number into Yami's phone. "She's someone I work with. We joke around that she sleeps around because of how she acts."
"Like how?"
Yugi blushed as he gave Yami his phone back, "She's very good at using her feminine charms to get want she wants but she's very intelligent about it. Mai is a very driven person and she's like an older sister to me."
Yami nodded slowly, the knot in his chest from the mention of Mai, slowly going away. "I see. Well do you mind if I walk with you to the door?"
Yugi smiled, "That'd be nice but you don't have to. You still have your friend here right? You can go and dance with them."
Yami chuckled, shaking his head. "My friend is the brooding type. He hates clubs and the only reason he's here is because the owner's a friend. He only stayed because of your little friend but since you're leaving, he'll probably disappear soon."
"But he didn't meet Ryou."
"He watched from a distance. He's a bit creepy like that but he's harmless. He just wants to meet your friends at his best, not while he's angsting over a beer."
Yugi hummed, not noticing that they were moving towards the door while Jou and Ryou were following them. "Well just let him know that Ryou loves red roses and that chocolate never hurts."
Yami nodded, stopping as they reached the front door. "Duly noted. Well here's your stop."
Yugi hadn't even noticed that Yami had directed him to the front door. He saw Ryou and Jou slip out to give them a few more minutes together and he mentally thanks them as Yami took his chin and tilted his face up towards him. "Is this the cliché goodnight kiss?"
Yami chuckled before pressing a kiss on Yugi's forehead, "Nope, it's the cliché forehead kiss. You'll get the goodnight kiss after our first date."
Yugi smirked, "So are you asking me out on a date already? No three days of wait or even a just a day of texting?"
Yami shrugged his shoulders, "I'm not the type to play around with what I want." He chuckled as an idea came to mind, "I set a trap card down and summon Celtic Guardian in attack mode. What will my opponent do next?"
Yugi grinned, "I'll draw a card and set two cards before ending my turn. I'll see you see Yami."
Yami kissed Yugi's hand, not wanting to let go. "We'll finish this later, I promise. Have sweet dreams Yugi."
Yugi winked, "I will." Yugi left, leaving behind Yami who wanted him back immediately. Yami sighed, feeling the leftover heat from Yugi on his lips before glancing over at Bakura, who nodded towards the front door. Yami rolled his eyes but nodded and waved at Bakura before leaving himself. There was no point staying in a place where his Little One wasn't. He was sure Bakura was going home to paint all night, so he texted him the information Yugi gave him before calling for a taxi and going home himself. He was going to have dreams of beautiful amethyst eyes and a soft gentle smile for days.
