Butch woke up to his body hitting the floor and he groaned in pain. He opened his eyes and turned his head to the bed where Brute glared at him. Butch rubbed his back

"Hey babe."

"Are you fucking serious?! Why the fuck are you here when your ass disappeared yesterday faster than when my dad left 15 years ago?!" Butch sat up and blinked. He felt her foot hit his head and bumped into the wall. He rubbed his head shielded himself from future assault.

"Babe. I waited for a really long time. I thought I'd go out for a walk and completely lost track of time. And I just wanted some space to myself for a bit to cool down."

"Don't fucking give me that bullshit! Like come on! You're such a dick!"

"Babe. You let me wait for you for hours. I decided to go out because you were going to take a long time."

"You're an asshole for that."

"I know okay. I'm sorry that I made you angry. I was just annoyed that I had to wait so long."

"No. Fuck you. I don't care if you had to wait 10 years! You fucking left me here! You're my boyfriend! If I wanted, you'd have to wait forever! You wait for a few hours and get all upset! Talk about impatient!"

"I know you're mad and that you wanted to look good. I know I'm in the wrong." Butch stood up from the floor and headed to the teddy bear in the room. He grabbed it and placed it in front of her at the bed.

"I got you this bear. I'm so sorry babe. I know that what I did was selfish and unfair to you. Please forgive me. I promise you that I'll make it up to you." Brute glared at the bear and kicked it onto the floor. Butch sighed and picked it up once more, placing it back where it was and she frowned.

"Okay fine. But you do some shit like that again and I'll make sure you regret it."

"Come on, let's go to the beach. You said that you wanted to take some beach pics right? I'll take some pics for you and then we can swim."

"We do everything I want." Butch nodded as if they already didn't do everything she desired. Brute hopped off the bed to give him a kiss and he turned his head so her lips touched his cheek.

"Let's brush our teeth and stuff first okay? My breath stinks right now." The girl rolled her eyes but went over to the bathroom.

Butch let out a sigh. He never really minded kissing after waking up, but he involuntarily turned his head.

He thought about the night before and almost slapped himself. Why on earth did he do that? He kissed Buttercup. He wasn't supposed to even be on good terms with her. The second he saw her all anger he had shifted to a different type of anger.

He was jealous. Seeing her with the one guy he never liked. Seeing her for the first time in a month made him almost lose it. She looked and acted so different. She just seemed so happy to not be with him and the second he popped up her mood fell. She just looked so sad when facing him. Butch had no idea how much he missed her. He had no idea how much he needed her.

Butch ruffled his hair angrily as it sat on his forehead. He really was a scumbag.

He still had no regrets when it came to the kiss. He felt bad. He felt like shit, but he didn't regret it. Deep down he knew that he wanted it. And he knew that she wanted it too. Butch groaned and jumped up and sat on the bed.

What was he going to do? He just cheated on his girlfriend with his best friend. He cheated on her with the one person who he told was not a threat to the relationship.

Something about Brute's story about that night of the fight just didn't set right. In the moment when she told him, seeing her so beat up set him off. The more time that passed, the more Butch thought so. It felt especially off the second he saw Buttercup.

As weird as that sounds, he knows what her body looked like. He knew which scars were old, he had matching ones from when they occurred, and which ones were new. He knew that although she was a fighter, she would never lose. She was seeing her with those scrapes and seeing her so weak really had his suspicions high. She really seemed to have lost weight. She was just so small.

Now what was he going to do with Buttercup. He told her all this shit a month ago and practically exploded on her. Then the second he saw her he forced a kiss on her. Seeing her so broken and hurt from what he assumed was him hurt his chest. Butch couldn't and still can't stop picturing her. He could still see her clearly in his mind.

The thought of her in the same room with Mitchelson also crossed his mind and he felt anger. Butch deeply inhaled and expelled it. He calmed himself. Had he had not known they were going to be here, had he not have spotted her, He would still be mad and he wouldn't have kissed her. She would be happily enjoying her vacation without him.

Butch began pacing back and forth. He was jealous. He was so intensely jealous. He hated seeing her. He hated seeing Mitchelson. But above all else, he hated seeing the two of them together. Butch knew that Mitch liked Buttercup. He may even love her. Their interactions got much worse ever since Mitch admitted it. He tried so hard to not be bothered by it, but whenever he saw them together he just couldn't and neither could Mitch apparently. Butch really wish someone could slap some sense into him. He had no right to be jealous. Absolutely none. He and Buttercup were just friends and that's even questionable right now.

"I really am an idiot." He muttered under his breath.

"Yeah you are." Brute pushed past him in a robe and grabbed his butt.

"But you're my idiot" he moved his way to the bathroom before she had a chance to reclaim it.

He shut the door and examined his back. Brute kicked him really fucking hard. Like really hard. He guessed he deserved a lot more than she would've known but still. It was definitely one of the hardest she had ever hit him. The last time she hit him that hard she busted his finger when he went to block it. She still managed to hit his lip but that ended up with just a small cut inside. She was the type of girlfriend who could probably whoop your ass and he thought that he was fine with it, at first he thought it was hot that she was feisty, but he wasn't too sure about it anymore.

Buttercup had told him not to take that shit from her a long time ago but he brushed it off. He remembered the times when he used to fight anyone and everyone. He had long since abandoned that type of lifestyle. He would still deck anyone who tried him but he would never raise a fist to someone he's intimate with. Butch sighed and brushed his teeth. He brushed his teeth and washed his face.

Butch looked at himself in the mirror. To say he looked miserable was one way to describe how he looked. He didn't get much sleep the night before. Seeing Buttercup and what happened between the two kept his barely working brain active for hours on end. Like a movie, memories of their times together kept playing in his head. He kept thinking about what went wrong and what could've gone right. At the end of the day he was sure of one thing, Buttercup doesn't like him like that. It was hard for him to accept before and he was so ready to let her go, but it seems like he was wrong. A loud knock on the door interrupted him from his thoughts.

"Hurry up! I need to do my makeup."

"For the beach?"

"No, for bed. Yes the beach! I need to get ready for the pictures!" Butch sighed and opened the door and she pushed past him. Butch watched as she dumped all of her makeup in the sink and seated herself on the counter in nothing but a robe. Brute turned and glared at him.

"What?" Butch shook his head and walked over to her.

"Just don't take too long okay? That way we can swim and stuff. I heard of this really good place to eat not too far from the beach so we can go there for dinner."

"I'll take however much time I want." Butch sighed and kissed her forehead.

"Okay. I'll be in the room waiting."

"Don't fucking leave this time." Butch nodded and left. Butch went over to his suitcase and put on his swimming trunks. He changed into a black shirt and sat on the bed. He looked out of the windows and laid back down into the bed. Butch stared at the ceiling for quite a long time. That's when he heard laughing in the hall and he bit his cheek. He could hear as his neighbors opened and closed their doors. A few people walked by his room and he could already guess who it was.

"Oh wait! I forgot my phone! You guys head to the elevator!" He instantly recognized the voice. Butch walked over to the door and listened. Was he really spying? Yup.

"Buttercup are you sure you're okay?" Ugh Mitchelson.

"Yeah. Don't worry about it." He could hear the hesitance in her voice to speak.

"It's clear that something happened. Tell me."

"Don't tell the others. It's nothing. "

"Fine but if you come to me crying like that again, I honestly don't know what I'll do."

"Mitch please just be quiet." She probably just remembered he was next door. Her voice was low and cautious. Butch clenched his fist. He made her cry. He made the strongest girl he ever met cry. Butch sent her right into Mitchelson's arms. He used to be the one who comforted her when she had issues but now he was the one she had issues with. Butch listened as they walked away in silence but his anger didn't cease. He wasn't mad at anyone but himself. He really was an idiot.
