The ball was a complete success. People every where were talking about the princes and their beautiful mates who were human.

It was well known that the princes wanted every species to attend the picking however, there was a small chance that humans would even be chosen. The more likely choice would be someone of their own species. And yet, all of them were humans.

This outcome seemed to have sparked something good.

But with the good, bad comes hand in hand.

Buttercup was exhausted.

Actually, exhausted, was an understatement.

She wanted to cut off her feet, so she didn't have to feel how sore they were. Albeit, that would cause even more pain, but hey, the lack of blood circulation caused by the restricting shoes and dress really wasn't doing wonders with her thinking process.

"Get up, kitten."

Oh perfect. She also needs to deal with her now supposed "mate for life" waking her up when she obviously isn't a morning person.

"Why do you hate me, God? What did I do?" She groaned into the soft, soft, pillows that were screaming her name.

She heard a deep chuckle along with the bed creak, feeling weight on the left of the bed.

"I'm no God, kitten. But I can make you say my name like a prayer."

Just to spite her, God sent her a pervert. Just to spite her, Buttercup's sure of it.

"I hate you." She muttered and dug her face deeper into the sheets.

"Love you too. Now get up."

"No. I'm gonna divorce you and marry the pillow and make beautiful pillow babies and live in a castle filled with mattresses."

She heard the deep rumble of Butch's laugh and felt it cause shivers to crawl up her spine.

God forbid Buttercup was feeling giddy over this fool.

"Well that's really upsetting, kitten." Before she knew it, Butch's mouth was next to her ear and she shuddered feeling his hot breath fan her ear. "Seeing as a pillow won't satisfy your desires like I can."

"I-!" She cursed herself for squeaking and cleared her throat. "I don't have desires, you pervert. Y-You're too close so…"

She felt him hum and pull back much to her displeasure.

Wait what?

"I'll be gone for the day. The castle is open to you, your new home. But don't explore too far or alone. I'll be worried."

She turned to see him smile down at her and Buttercup felt herself flush then turn away again.

"I'll be with the other girls so there's no need for you to worry. I'm capable enough to handle myself." She huffed out.

"I know." Butch said huskily leaning down to kiss her cheek. "Good bye, my kitten. I'll be back."

"Yeah, yeah, get lost."

He chuckled once more, and the second Buttercup turned back around, he was gone.

Now time to calm down the traitor heart of hers.

How is this man still sleeping?

Bell could only wonder while she looked down at Bliss' sleeping face. It was embarrassing enough to sleep in the same bed as him but for him not to feel that same flustered feeling and sleep so easily was insane to her.

She's out here, unable to sleep cause her heart won't stop being a little bitch about some skin to skin contact, and he passed out in two minutes.

Bliss is still dead asleep. God, please bless her with an off button that keeps him as quiet as he is now.

Now that she takes a closer look, she can appreciate his handsome features more. His thick black eyelashes, that one little slit in his left eyebrow, the small heart shaped lips he has that are slightly parted, his straight pointed nose. Bliss was beautiful.

Bell felt her heart flutter and quickly pulled away looking for a distraction in the room. God, what was she doing? She should be trying to wake him up. She touched the dresser next to the bed to see if she can find her phone but all she found was a bottle.

Wait, when did that get there?

Bell lifted her head and saw a yellow bottle with a white cap, a pill bottle.

She blinked once, twice.

Bell doesn't take medication.

Upon a closer look, Bell realized the name on the prescription bottle.

BLISS KAKIHARA

ADDERALL XR

20 mg once daily in the morning

Adverse reactions: dry mouth, loss of appetite, insomnia, headache, weight loss, nausea, anxiety, agitation, dizziness, tachycardia

Bell stopped reading the symptoms and quickly placed the bottle back down.

She didn't realize her hands were shaking until she felt a hand on top of hers. Turning so she faced Bliss, Bell bit her lip at the serious look on his face.

"I-I apologize, that was out of line for me. I shouldn't have-!"

"It's fine, Bella. I have nothing to hide from you." He smiled gently. Bell released a breath she hadn't even realized she was holding and held his hand.

"I'm, I'm sorry, Bliss, but can you explain to me why you take Adderall? What is it treating?" She asked gently turning to face him.

He chuckled at that.

Bell knew she could easily have googled it, but it wasn't the same. She needed to hear it from him for some reason. She felt herself relax as his thumb ran over her knuckles in a comforting manner. How was he so good at this?

"I have ADD, Bell. Attention deficit disorder. I don't fidget or move a lot like people with ADHD do but I do have trouble, I guess, keeping focus. Like, okay, you know how everyone has a train of thought right? It branches out into different tracks and that's normal, of course."

Bell nodded slowly.

Bliss smiled. "I don't have just one train. I have multiple. I forget things sometimes and I'm disorganized. I make a lot of mistakes if I don't take my medication, but don't worry about the side effects. That doesn't do anything to me. The medication is altered so I could be able to take it."

Bell pursed her lips, hating him a little for knowing exactly what her concern was.

"I thought, with this condition, I would be so annoying to the person who was unlucky enough to become my mate." Bliss chuckled weakly and brought her hands up to his lips.

Bell wanted to protest but he continued.

"But I know now, that no matter how much of a priss you are, my Bella, you will come to love my entire being as I love yours." He whispered and kissed her palm.

Bell said nothing.

She couldn't, fearing that her voice would shake out of embarrassment.

Really, someone needs to get this man an ounce of shame.

Bubbles stirred awake feeling the warmth that was there for her comfort leave.

"I'm sorry, Bubbles, I didn't mean to wake you." She heard the smooth voice of her mate speak.

Oh right, she was chosen.

Bubbles slowly opened her eyes and smiled tiredly. "No, my prince, it was no trouble. I would rather be awake now, anyway."

Boomer smiled at his adorable mate. It honestly has to be a crime to be this cute.

Bubbles rubbed her eyes and slowly sat up looking up at her handsome prince charming. "Are you leaving, my prince?"

Boomer chuckled and leaned, planting a kiss on her cheek. "Yes, I have some matters to take care of with my brothers. You don't have to call me prince, Bubbles, I told you. I'm your mate, Boomer is fine."

She blinked then chirped cutely, "Boomer!"

"You're so cute!" Boomer grinned hugging her tightly, feeling his chest swell when she wrapped her arms around him back.

"Stay safe, Boomer." She smiled kindly.

"I will, Bubbles." He chuckled and got up. "Let me at least move all your luggage aside. They managed to send everything in overnight."

Bubbles wasn't able to process that quick enough and when Boomer moved her half-opened bag, a small glass container fell out carrying what seemed to be cards.

"I should really scold those that packed your luggage, my love." He huffed and picked it up giving Bubbles a view of exactly what he was holding.

"Hm?" He murmured. "Cards?"

Bubbles felt her heart drop into her chest and she quickly ran out of bed and took the case out of his hand. "I'm so sorry, Boomer…!" She quickly apologized for her rude actions, seeing the look of surprise on his face.

"I was, this is just…Rather fragile." Bubbles trailed off, unable to lie to his face and continue talking at the same time.

She couldn't tell him. No matter how much of a dream this was, no matter how much she's been dreaming for a prince charming, the reality of it was clear.

She couldn't completely trust someone she just met.

Boomer looked at her retreating figure then back at the object clutched tightly within her hands. He sighed then let out a small, reassuring smile.

"It's alright, Bubbles." He said, watching as she looked back up at him worried. "I'm not upset. I understand that it must be very important to you. I would be cautious with people who touch my treasures." He then stepped closer to her, tilting her head up with his thumb and index finger, that gentle smile washing away any worries, "Like how I would be upset if anyone were to touch you, my love. My greatest treasure."

Bubbles blushed and bashfully turned her head to the side unable to return the sentiment but appreciating his.

He was just so…good with words.

"I'll be off then. Make sure you eat well today, Bubbles. Oh! And say hi to the other girls for me!" He grinned while walking out the door.

Bubbles smiled and waved saying, "Have a safe trip! All of you!"

He flashed her one last smile and closed the door leaving Bubbles to her thoughts and that sinful case in her hands.

As the sun rays try their best to leak through thick blood-colored curtains, a pink-eyed swordsman gently raised her torso to examine the room. With an inward sigh, she immediately knew it was one of the lavish bedrooms of the eldest vampire prince.

And she was mate.

The only comfort in her odd situation is that Bunny was here with her. She's spent most of her life protecting Bunny and being in her presence. If she hasn't been chosen by Bullet…

'Focus. I need to get into the bathroom.' Blossom interrupted what could have been a dark hole of "What ifs".

Due to the thickness of the curtains the room is still dim, and the usual bright white light was stained a bright red. It was almost unsettling, and a part of Blossom wondered if it was specifically Brick's fashion choice.

Shifting her legs to the side of the bed as slowly as possible Blossom began to gently lift herself up. She was always an early riser and isn't surprised that the vampire next to her was still fast asleep. Blossom turned her head to few his sleeping form. They had slept in opposite directions with an imaginary pillow barrier dividing their bodies. This gave her a great view of his back and she noticed his hair was no longer in the usual ponytail. It was all out and spread out on his back. His mane was straight with spiky ends and looked well taken care of. His sleeping face is content, and that was quite a difference from the usual reserved expression his wore when awake.

'Stop watching him sleep!' Blossom mentally scolded herself. No way was she going to give Brick the satisfaction of catching her creepy act.

As quietly as she could, she made her way to the bathroom to relieve herself.

But here comes the noisy part;

Flushing.

Blossom grimaced, knowing that she had to flush that overly luxurious toilet. With a deep exhale she slowly pressed down the lever. Expecting a loud roar of flushing water, she was instead pleasantly surprised by a soft rush.

Her shoulders relaxed in relief.

"I hate noisy toilets too." a voice said behind her.

Blossom jumped and quickly whipped her head around to see Brick awake in all his condescending glory. She continued towards the sink and proceeded to wash her hands. She wanted to play it off like she didn't spend her first level of energy to make as little noise as possible to not disturb his sleep.

"I'm lucky to have such a considerate mate." Brick teased coming up behind her. He smirked at her reflection in the mirror while she refused to make any kind of eye contact.

"Next time I won't be so generous." Blossom huffed.

Brick couldn't help but be amused. Big tough swordswoman embarrassed of getting caught in her mouse act. It was quite adorable.

"Well when you're done, I'll be occupying the bathroom."

Blossom blinked. "Are you going anywhere?"

"Yes actually." Brick answered as he took off his shirt. "My brothers and I have a daylight errand to run. You and the other girls can explore the Castle within the limits."

Blossom quickly whipped her head around before the shirt even made it passed his shoulders. She barely caught the last part.

"You could've waited you know!" she said surprised.

"Oh, how rude of me. Did you want to strip me?"

"Take your time coming back" Blossom grunted before rushing out of the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Brick snickered to himself. What a way to start off the morning.

Unlike his brothers, Bullet didn't get to close his eyes at all. He had the pleasure of staying up all night talking with his newest mate Bunny. He didn't expect them to be talking so much in depth on the first night, but this brunette girl was a curious one. Even though their room is soundproof, their voices were hushed as they faced each other under the blankets.

"You haven't blinked all night." She said quietly.

"That's an odd thing to notice." He responded bluntly.

"Do vampires not blink?"

"We don't have to."

"Aha! In Twilight the vampires don't have to blink either! They just do so to blend with humans!"

Bullet rolled his eyes. Unfortunately, the first two hours of conversation was to debunk the naive human of all the lies and myths the Twilight series foretold.

"Well in this world our existence is known so we don't have to." he answered.

"Oh yeah that's true." she thought for a while. "So ... was garlic ever a bad thing for you all?"

"In my parent's generation." He answered honestly. "A lot of the myths were somewhat true in the past centuries but were out of context. Garlic is what caused the death of one of the past Vampire Queens. Ever since then garlic was seen as evil or some crazy shit like that. But eventually we move on and now it's a stinky tasty herb again."

Bunny giggled at the tale but then covered her mouth. "Oh sorry… it's not funny that she died…"

"A Vampire Queen died choking on a garlic that was dipped in vervain tea. That's pretty funny." he admitted.

On and off throughout the night he would play with Bunny's ponytail absentmindedly. She didn't seem to mind but did always pause mid-sentence when he made the move. Around 3am she got completely comfortable with it.

"What about the having no reflection in mirror thing?"

"A vampire childhood folktale. I guess humans somehow found out and took it literally." Bullet answered with an eye roll.

"Monsters have their own folktales?"

"Why should humans get all the fun?"

"Touché."

Bullet chuckled softly and let go of Bunny's hair. He sat up and got out of bed. "You should get some sleep."

"I can just sleep in the morning." Bunny waved off.

"Bunny it is morning."

"... Eh? Since when?"

Bullet face palmed. "How do you have this much energy? Humans need sleep to function."

Bunny grinned a little. "Common myth. We just caffeine."

Bullet rolled his eyes with a smirk at the remark. He walked over to Bunny's side and gently pushed her back down. She allowed her head to hit the pillow again and looked up at him.

"At least take a nap..."

Bunny sighed. "Fine..." She settled herself back down in a comfortable position. Bullet gently kissed her forehead impulsively. Bunny held back a gasp and her cheeks reddened at the chaste act.

"I'll be back…."

Bunny already started to doze off before Bullet could finish her sentence. The sleep deprivation finally snuck up on her. Finally, she was able to surrender to a land of slumber.

For about ten minutes.

"Bunny? Bunny wake up!"

The brunette groaned slightly and lifted herself up to see Blossom, Bell, Bubbles, and Buttercup by Bullet's doorstep.

"Uh…."

"Good you're awake!" Bubbles said happily.

"Fix yourself." Bell said blinking at Bunny's bedhead and dried drool on the side of her face. "The boys are gone! You know what that means~"

"More sleep...?" Bunny begged.

"No silly!" Bell smirked. "We get to explore!"

"Although we have certain restrictions of where we aren't allowed to go." Blossom informed. "However, it's a great opportunity."

"It's stupid. If we are supposed to live here and be Queens, we should get access where we want." Buttercup said annoyed.

Bunny couldn't help but snicker at that.

Buttercup smiled a bit. She could relate to sleeping in and having her father wake her up.

Just like that.

The quick thought of her father being in her house alone. Her main goal ever since she arrived just reawakened her. This was one opportunity she couldn't let go to waste.

She had to get out of there. She needed to find an escape.

"Hurry up Bunny. We're wasting daylight." Buttercup urged.
