The Walking Dead: Star Wars Edition

I do not own The Walking Dead or Star Wars the Clone Wars. They both belong to there respective owners.

Episode 7- TS-19

The door opened, and everyone started at it surprisingly. "Daryl, you cover the back." Shane said as they preceded inside.

"Hello?" Rick shouted. "Close the doors and watch for walkers." Cody said. A man came out from a room and pointed his assault rifle at them. They raised the it's as well. "Anybody infected?" The man said.

"One of our group was. He didn't make it." Ahsoka said.

"Why are you here? What do you want?" He asked.

"A chance." Rick said.

"That's asking an awful lot these days." The man said.

"I know."

"You all submit to a blood test. That's the price of admission." He said after a moment of scanning the group with his eyes.

"We can do that." Anakin said.

"You got stuff to bring in, you do it now. Once this door closes , it stays closed." The man said. Rick, Daryl, Anakin, Shane, T-Dog, and Glenn went outside, got the bags, and hurried back in as the man swiped his card on a pad near the door. "VI, seal the main entrance. Kill the power up here." He said. The door automatically locked and a security wall blocked the door. "Rick Grimes." Rick said. "Dr. Edwin Jenner." The man said.

The group packed into the elevator to go upstairs. "Do doctors always go around packing heat like that?" Rex asked. "There were plenty left lying around. I familiarize myself. But you look harmless enough." Dr. Jenner said. "Except you. I'll have to keep my eye on you." He joked at Carl.

The group is off the elevator now and Dr. Jenner is leading them. "Are we underground?" Carol asked.

"Are you claustrophobic?" Dr. Jenner asked.

"A little."

"Try not to think about it."

Dr. Jenner led the group into a huge room full of giant screens and dozens of computers. "VI, bring up the lights in the big room." He said and the whole room lit up. "Welcome to Zone 5." Jenner said to the group.

"Where is everybody? The other doctors, the staff?" Ahsoka asked.

"I'm it. It's just me here."

"What about the person you were speaking with? VI?" Lori asked.

"Vi, say hello to our guests. Tell them...Welcome." Dr. Jenner said.

"Hello, guests. Welcome." VI said. "I'm all that's left. I'm sorry." Dr. Jenner said.

The group is in a room getting tested for infection and Andrea is getting a shot. "What's the point? If we were infected, we'd all be running a fever." Andrea said.

"I've already broken every rule in the book letting you in here. Let me just at least be thorough." Jenner said. "All done."

"Are you okay?" Jacqui asked Andrea as she stood up. "She hasn't eaten in days. None of us have." Ahsoka said.

Later

The group is sitting around the dinner table eating, drinking, and having a good time. "It seems to me we haven't thanked our host properly." Rick said standing up.

"He is more than just our host." T-Dog said raising his glass. They started cheering Dr. Jenner.

"So when are you going to tell us what happened here, doc? All the-the other doctors that were supposed to be figuring out what happened, where are they?" Shane asked.

"We're here to celebrate, Shane. Don't need to do this now." Rick said.

"Wait a second. This is why we're here, right? This was our move, Rick, aren't we supposed to find all the answers?" Anakin asked.

"Instead we-we found him. Found one man. Why?" Shane asked.

"Well,when things got bad a lot of people just left, went off to be with there families. And when things got worse, when the military cordon got overrun, the rest bolted." Dr. Jenner said. "Every last one?" Rex asked.

"No, many couldn't face walking out the door. They...opted out. There was a rash of suicides. That was a bad time."

"But you didn't leave. Why?" Ahsoka asked.

"I just kept working, hoping to do some good." Jenner said.

"Dude, you are such a buzzkill, man." Glenn said to Shane.

After dinner, Jenner led to show them their rooms. "Most of the facility is powered down including housing, so you'll have to make do here. The couches are comfortable, but there are cots in storage if you like. There's a rec room down the hall that you kids might enjoy. Just don't plug in the video games, okay? Or anything that draws power. The same applies-if you shower, go easy on the hot water." He said walking away. "Hot water?" Glenn said happily. "That's what the man said." T-Dog said happily.

Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka's room- Later

"So, Master, how are you liking this 'CDC' so far?" Anakin asked Obi-Wan. "It's definitely not how I expected. If there was any hope for a cure for this infection, it's gone now.

"There's always a cure for something." Anakin said. "How long do you think we'll be here." He asked. "As long as were stranded here, Anakin, I don't really know to be honest." Obi-Wan answered.

"The Council must be worried sick. We basically vanished without a trace. The only hope we may have of getting back home is if there's coincidently someone else stranded here. But the chances of that are small." Anakin said.

"We should get some sleep, Masters. It's been a little while since we slept." Ahsoka said coming out of her room.

"She's right. We should get some rest." Obi-Wan said.

The next morning...

Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Rex, Lori, Carl, Andrea, Dale, and Glenn are sitting at the table eating breakfast. T-Dog is cooking. "Morning." Rick said walking in. "Are you hungover? Mom said you'd be." Carl asked Rick.

"Mom is right." Rick said.

"Mom has that annoying habit." Lori said.

"Eggs. Powdered, but-But I do 'em good. I bet you can't tell." T-Dog said.

"Nice, T." Cody said sitting down at the table with Daryl and Jacqui.

"Protein helps the hangover." T-Dog said serving Glenn eggs.

"Where'd all this come from?" Anakin asked holding a bottle of pills."Dr. Jenner. He thought we could use it. Some of us at least." Lori answered.

"Don't ever ever ever let me drink again." Glenn said moaning.

"Hey." Shane said walking in and getting a coffee cup.

"Hey. Feeling as bad as I do?" Rick asked.

"Worse." He answered.

"What happened to you? Your neck." T-Dog asked Shane. "I must have done it in my sleep." Shane answered.

"Never seen you do that before." Rick said. "Me neither. Not like me at all." Shane added looking at Lori.

"Morning." Dr. Jenner said walking in. "Hey, doc." Shane replied.

"Doctor I don't mean to slam you with questions first thing-" Dale said. "But you will anyway." Jenner said.

"We didn't come here for the eggs." Andrea said.

Dr. Jenner led the group back into the huge room with the computers. "Give me playback of TS-19." Jenner said to Vi. "Playback of TS-19." Vi said.

"Few people ever got a chance to see this. Very few." Jenner said.

"Is that a brain?" Carl asked. "An extraordinary one. Not that it matters in the end." Jenner said. "Take us in for E.I.V.." He said. "Enhanced internal view." Vi said. The diagram is showing the inside of the brain and a bunch of stems and lights.

"What are those lights?" Shane asked.

"It's a person's life. Experiences, memories. It's everything. Somewhere in all that organic wiring , all those ripples of light, is you. The thing that makes you unique and human." Jenner said.

"You don't make sense ever?" Daryl said.

"Those are synapses, electric impulses in the brain that carry all the messages. They determine everything a person says, does, or thinks from the moment of birth...to the moment of death." He explained.

"Death? That's what this is, a vigil?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Yes. Or rather the playback of the vigil." Jenner answered.

"This person died? Who?" Andrea asked.

"Test Subject 19. Someone who was bitten and infected...and volunteered to have us record the process." He said. "Vi, scan forward to the first event." He told Vi. "Scanning to first event." Vi said. The diagram showed the brain's lights dim and tiny lights started to come into the brain. "What is that?" Glenn asked.

"It invades the brain like meningitis. The adrenal glands hemorrhage, the brain goes into shutdown, then the major organs." Jenner said. The lights in the brain completely went out. "Then death. Everything you ever were or ever will be...gone." He added.

"Is that what happened to Jim?" Sophia asked Carol. "Yes, honey, it is." Carol answered. Dr. Jenner looked at Andrea who is looking depressed. "She lost somebody two days ago. Her sister." Lori said.

"I lost somebody too. I know how devestating it is." He said to Andrea. "Scan to second event." He told Vi. "Scanning to second event." Vi said. "The resurrection times vary wildly. We had reports of it happening in as little as three minutes. The longest we heard of was eight hours. In the case of this patient, it was two hours, one minute...seven seconds." He said. The diagram showed red lights starting to form back up and spread through the brain. "It restarts the brain?" Ahsoka asked.

"No, just the brain stem. Basically, it gets them up and moving." Jenner said.

"But they're not alive?" Rick asked.

"You tell me." Jenner said.

"It's nothing like before. Most of that brain is dark." Rick said.

"Dark, lifeless, dead. The frontal lobe, the neocortex, the human part-that part doesn't come back. The you part. Just a shell driven by mindless instinct." Jenner said. The diagram showed a bullet shoot through the person's brain. "Whoa. What was that?" Carol asked. "He shot his patient in the head." Rex said.

"Vi, power down the main screen and the workstations." Dr. Jenner said. "Powering down main screen and workstations." Vi said.

"You have no idea what it is, do you?" Andrea asked.

"It could be microbial, viral, parasitic, fungal." Jenner said.

"Or the wrath of God." Jacqui said.

"There is that." He replied.

"Somebody must know something. Somebody somewhere." Andrea said. "There are others, right? Other facilities?" Anakin asked.

"There may be some. People like me." Jenner answered.

"But you don't know? How can you not know?" Rick said.

"Everything went down. Communications, directives. All of it. I've been in the dark for almost a month." He said.

"So it's not just here. There's nothing left anywhere? Nothing?" Ahsoka asked. "That's what you're really saying, right?" Andrea said. "Jesus." Jacqui said.

"Man, I'm gonna get s**tfaced drunk again." Daryl said killing the silence.

"Dr. Jenner, I know this has been taxing for you and I hate to ask one more question, but that clock is counting down. What happens at zero?" Dale asked.

"The basement generators run out of fuel." Jenner said. "And then?" Rick said but Dr. Jenner walked away. "Vi, what happens when the power runs out?" Rick asked Vi.

"When the power runs out, facility-wide decontamination will occur." Vi said.

Rick, Anakin, Rex, Shane, Glenn, and T-Dog are all rushing down to the basement to investigate. "Decontamination? What does that mean?" Glenn asked. "I don't like the way Jenner clammed up. The way he just wondered off like that." Shane said. "What's wrong with him? Seriously, man, is he nuts, medicated, what?" T-Dog said. Rick checked the basement map. "In there." Rick said. They followed after him. They entered a room full of pipes generators. "Check that way. Shane, Anakin, this way." Rick said. Rex, Glenn, and T-Dog went the opposite direction.

Rick stumbled across a generator with the fuel on 'E'. "It's empty." Rick said. Suddenly, the lights went out and the back up lights came on. "Emergency lighting on." Vi said. "What the h**l is this?" Shane said.

"Hey, you guys kill the lights?" Glenn said running over with Rex and T-Dog.

"No. It just went out." Anakin answered. "Find anything?" Rick asked.

"Yeah. A lot of dead generators and empty fuel drums than I can count." T-Dog replied.

"It can't be down to just that one." Shane said.

Upstairs

"What happened to the A.C?" Ahsoka said checking the vent. "Is something wrong,Ahsoka?" Obi-Wan asked. "It seems like the air conditioning stopped." Ahsoka said.

"Why is the air off?" Ahsoka asked when Jenner walked by. "And the lights in our room?" Carol said. "What's going on? Why is everything turned off?" Daryl asked coming out of his room.

"Energy use is being prioritized." Dr. Jenner said walking down the hall and they started to follow him. "Air isn't a priority? And lights?" Dale asked.

"It's not up to me. Zone 5 is shutting itself down. Hey! Hey, what does that mean? Hey, man I'm talking to you. What do you mean it's shutting itself down? How can a building do anything?" Daryl said. "You'd be surprised." Jenner said.

Rick, Anakin, Shane, Glenn, Rex, and T-Dog came running back from the basement. "Rick?" Lori said.

"Jenner, what's happening?" Rick said as he came down the stairs. "The system is dropping all the nonessential uses of power. It's designed to keep the computers running to the last possible second. That started as we approached the half-hour mark. Right on schedule." He said pointing to the clock. They got to the main screen room with all the computers. paused for a minute to take a drink.

"It was the French." He said.

"What?" Andrea asked.

"They were the last ones to hold out as far as I know. While our people were bolting out the doors and committing suicide in the hallways, they stayed in the labs till the end. They thought they were close to a solution." Jenner said.

"What happened?" Obi-Wan asked.

"The same thing that's happening here. No power grid. Ran out of juice. The world runs on fossil fuel. I mean, how stupid is that?" Jenner said laughing.

"Let me tell you-" Shane tried to grab Jenner but Rick stopped him. "Forget about it Shane. I don't even care. Lori, grab our things. Everybody, get your stuff. We're getting out of here now!" Rick shouted. They started to leave but suddenly an alarm started sounding. "What's that?" Anakin asked. "What's that?" Carol said nervously.

"30 minutes to decontamination." Vi said. Dr. Jenner went over to a desk and pushed a button. "Doc, what's going on here?" T-Dog yelled.

"You all heard Rick. Get your stuff and let's go! Now! Move!" Cody shouted. The group tried to run to the door but Jenner pushed a button and closed them.

"Did you lock us in? He just locked us in!" Glenn yelled nervously.

Dr. Jenner went over to his computer and started recording. "You son of a b***h!" Daryl yelled running over to Dr. Jenner with a glass bottle. "Cody! Shane!" Rick yelled. "You locked us in here!" Daryl yelled. Cody and Shane stopped Daryl and started holding him back. "Jenner, open that door now." Rick said.

"There's no point. Everything topside is locked down. The emergency exit is sealed." Dr. Jenner said. "Well, open the d**n things." Daryl said.

"That's not something I control. The computers do. I told you once that front door closed, it wouldn't open again. You heard me say that. It's better this way."

"What is? What happens in 28 minutes?" Anakin said but Jenner wouldn't answer.

"What happens in 28 minutes!?" Shane yelled kicking over a chair.

"You know what this place is?! We protected the public from very nasty stuff! Weaponized smallpox! Ebola strains that can wipe out half the country! Stuff you don't want getting out! Ever!" Jenner yelled. Then he sat back down. "In the event of a catastrophic power failure, in a terrorist attack, for example, H.I.T.s are deployed to prevent any organisms from getting out." He added.

"H.I.T.s?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Vi, define." Jenner said.

"HITs- high-impulse thermobaric fuel-air explosives consist of a two-stage aerosol ignition that produces a blast wave of significantly greater power and duration than any other known explosive except nuclear. The vaccum-pressure effect ignites the oxygen at between 5,000 and 6000 degrees and is useful when the greatest loss of life and damage to structures is desired." Vi explained.

"It sets the air on fire. No pain. An end to sorrow, grief...regret. Everything." Jenner said.

"Open the d**n door!" Daryl said smashing a bottle onto it. "Out of my way!" Shane running toward the door with an axe and hitting it. "Daryl!" Rick shouted tossing Daryl an axe. "I got this." Anakin said stabbing his lightsaber through the door and starting to cut through it. "This is going to take a little while." Anakin said.

"You should've left well enough alone. It would've been so much easier." Dr. Jenner said. "Easier for who?" Lori said.

"All of you. You know what's out there. A short brutal life and an agonizing death. Your sister-what was her name?" Jenner asked Andrea.

"Amy."

"You know what this does. You've seen it. Is that really what you want for your wife and son?" Jenner asked Rick. "I don't want this." Rick said.

"The axes won't make a dent. Anakin's cutting through." Shane said walking through.

"Those doors are designed to withstand a rocket laun- Jenner said.

"I'm through! Come on let's go!" Anakin shouted cutting him off and pushing down the cylinder he created. "Come on! Move it! Move it!" Shane and Cody were yelling.

"Looks like now's your chance. Take it." Jenner said to Rick. He shook Rick's hand and whispered something in his ear.

"Hey, we've got four minutes left! Come on!" Glenn yelled. "Let's go. Let's go." T-Dog said pulling Jacqui. "No, no, I'm staying. I'm staying, sweetie." Jacqui said.

"But that's insane!" T-Dog yelled trying to pull her again.

"It's completely sane." She said pulling away again. "For the first time in a long time. I'm not ending up like Jim and Amy." The group realized what was happening and looked at Jacqui. "There's no time to argue. And no point, not if you want to get out. Just get out. Get out." She said.

"Dog. Come on, man. Let's go!" Shane said. All except for Obi-Wan, Rick, Shane, Lori, Carl, Anakin, Carol, Obi-Wan, and Sophia ran out.

"I'm staying too." Andrea said.

"Andrea, no." Dale said. "Just go! Go!" Dale shouted at them.

The group ran down the stairs to the front entrance. "Get them doors open!" Shane shouted. "It doesn't work!" Glenn shouted trying to open the door. "Wait a minute!" T-Dog pushed some buttons on the security pad by the door. "Try it now!" He yelled.

"It still doesn't work!"

"Daryl!" Rick shouted throwing him an axe. Shane and Daryl started hitting the window with the axes. "The glass won't break?" Sophia asked nervously. "Out of my way!" Anakin shouted running up to the window. He slashed to lines on the window making an 'x' and force pushing the window to pieces.

The group ran out and started shooting and cutting down walkers. Ahsoka jumped on top of a walker and cut off it's head. They got to the cars and Cody got on top of the R.V. Rick started up his car. They noticed Dale and Andrea stepping out of the building. "Wait. Look. They're coming." Lori said.

"Get back! Back!" Rick said.

"Everybody get down!" Cody shouted from up top.

"Get down!" Dale said. Covering Andrea behind the barriers.

The entire building caught on fire and blew sky high in a giant ball of fire. The whole building collapsed into pieces.

The group looked at the remains in shock.

"Come on." Dale said helping Andrea up.

"Come on. Get in, get in, get in." Glenn said.

Dale and Andrea got in the R.V and all five vehicles continued down the road.

Well that's the finale episode of this season. Sorry it took so long. I'm going to be starting season 2 as a new story so be on the look out for it. Just so you know for season 2, I'm not going to be doing all the episodes. Just because nothing much happens in some episodes and I just want to do the ones that matter. I really need your feedback so please remember to review! :)
