A/N: So my senior prom was yesterday, and I just had to write this drabble. It's set post HoO, and it's very short.
I honestly can't believe all of the feedback that I've gotten lately. When I post something new, the response from you guys is crazy and I seriously love it.
So, this drabble is dedicated to Mila-is-a-bookworm-101 who is always the first to favorite anything new that I upload. You rock, and thank you so much!
Disclaimer: I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians or The Heroes of Olympus.
Her nails were done. His tie matched her dress. Her tan looked great. His face was cleanly shaven. Her shoes sparkled. His tux was pressed neatly. Her dress flowed out around her, making her look gorgeous. Her smile was bigger than normal. His eyes were shinning happily.
He slipped an arm around her waist and smiled, "Ready to go?"
She dapped at her lipstick one more time, "Yep! How do I look?"
Even though Percy already knew that she looked amazing, he let his eyes slip down her body. Her dress was a shade of blue that matched his vest perfectly. She had chosen a long dress with one long sleeve to cover up most of her scars. Percy would have rather been able to see them, but Annabeth was a little insecure about them. Her shoes were gigantic heels that made her almost as tall as him (but not quite). And her curls were flowing down her back. She looked as beautiful as ever, and the only time that Percy had ever remembered her looking better was the second that the war had ended. She had been covered in blood and dirt and monster dust from head to toe, but the way that she just stood there had Percy on his knees. Sure, she hadn't looked like a model then, but it had been a good day.
"You look gorgeous, Annabeth," Percy murmured in her ear.
Percy caught her smile even though he had his face pressed against her neck.
"Well, thank you. Now I'm ready to go," she said, turning her head and kissing his jaw.
He leaned back up and took her hand, "I can't believe we're actually going to my prom. This has to be a first for demigods everywhere."
Annabeth laughed, "I'm sure it is, but it will be fun."
"Of course it will be," Percy said as he straightened his tie. "Let's get out of here before Mom comes back in here demanding more pictures."
She laughed again and looped her arm through his as they headed to the door.
