This was a short drabble written for someone on Tumblr whose name I have forgotten We both happened to be going for an interview around the same time and I wrote this to them as a 'good luck' of sorts (they were a big fan of this pairing).
Interview
"Remember, firm handshake, eye contact, smile."
"I know," he rolled his eyes and smiled, amused, brushing his hands down the front of his shirt and trying his best to ignore the tugging forced around his neck as his boyfriend straightened his tie for the hundreth time. It was annoying, especially at the angle Gil was working from, still sitting in the drivers seat with Oz as a passenger, but the man's worrying was endearing.
"Turn your weaknesses around," Gil said, "make them sound good, and-"
He was cut off by the pair of soft lips against his own, preventing him from saying any more. "Gil," the blonde giggled, "I'll be fine."
"Sorry," he frowned, still looking worried, "but it's just… it's your first interview and…"
"It's fine, it's fine," Oz said with a casual wave of his hand, "they're just people, and I'm flawless. How can they not hire me on sight~?" He grinned up at the elder man, knowing full well that Gilbert wasn't buying his carefree act for a second.
Yes, he was nervous - he really wanted this job - but those nerves could be transformed into energy he could use to his advantage. He just had to do his best. At this point, it was all he could do.
"Alright then… do your best," Gilbert said with a smile, leaning over and pressing his lips briefly against the young blond's, "Good luck."
