A/N:...

This ending, this time around, is really weird for me. Wrecking Limits ended on a happy note, I was in an extremely happy part of life, and everything fell into place. It's weird, that with Defying Code, I can't say the same. I am happy, where I am in life, but I have definitely been thrown a few curve-balls through the whole entirety of this story - partially why I accidentally took a near 2-3 month hiatus towards the beginning. Life has given me a throw around, and I'm sure it's relevant in my writing - Defying Code was a bit darker than Wrecking Limits, and I hope to continue on to make Rectifying Origin a bit darker as well, but I sort of enjoy this. It's a nice escape, I get to broaden my scope, and you guys get a taste of a little bit of everything. This story, although ends on a happy note, still ends on a dreaded cliffhanger, and I always promised myself I wouldn't ever end a story on a cliffhanger... But, that was before Rectifying Origin was a thought.

I could have sworn, that with that end note, that infamous -To Be Continued-, I'd be extraordinarily sad, but with a weird exhale, I felt so uplifted. I DID IT. I finished a second book, I have yet another behemoth under my belt, and the fact that I now have over a million words of art to my name, is so incredibly weird to describe. Defying Code has seen a lot of really REALLY wonderful times of my life, and it has also seen extremely dark times. I've gone through a WHOLE ton during this story, and if I were to sit and explain it all, I'd likely write another 30k+ words to this story lol.

Defying Code surprised me. It easily melted into my heart and became my favorite of the two stories. I got to play with characters that were WHOLLY mine, and I got to expand on characters that weren't. I got to add my own little Lickity-girl into my favorite thing to do, write, and mix it with my other hobby - cars. Lickity is inspired by my 99 Toyota Camry, and it's because of her role in this story, that I have taken such gentle care to my car, and have strived to learn more about it, because I gave it heart. This story has sprawled to so many different aspects of my life, and has helped me grow in so many ways.

I really cherish the memories I had with Defying Code. Long, 3am flights around the Mcdowell mountains, listening to Maroon5 and rolling down the windows in winter just to feel the shiver of Arizona's dry, desert cold extreme, to hear the owls and just melt into the sight of the milky way above.

Four hour long conversations with my best friend Michaela and boyfriend Cory about the different directions Defying Code could go in. Gasping and coming up with awesome plot twists, cool new ideas, and funny scenes to sprinkle into the chaos. Those two know the entirety of everything and anything that happens in these stories, and they are my rocks in this drama. They help me so much with my crazy ideas. They help me reel it in, make it doable, and let me go to conquer. I would be wholly lost without their help.

And Defying Code would've likely suffered if it weren't for that (not kidding when I said) four-hour-long conversation. That conversation changed the entirety of my story, lit a fire under my ass, and I've been uploading every other day ever since. I am so grateful for those two... And when I told them I had a third story planned (plus more surprises to come ;D ) they gave me dull stares, got comfortable, and in nearly delightfully annoyed tones, would simply say 'alright, hit me.'

Seriously? MORE? What the heck MORE could I possibly put these smarties through? xD

Well... Let me show you~

I'll piece the beginning back together again, for you, and we can fix the start line.

Rectify Origin - ;)

Rectifying Origin is now POSTED - click my profile and follow/fave the story so you can continue to get updates!

I want to say one massive MASSIVE MASSIVE thank you to ALL my readers, reviewers and supporters. I'm sad I lost quite a bit of you along the way, from the first story, but I get it - this story no longer centers around RalphxVanellope

But WOW with how many of you stayed! And for those of you that stayed till the end, you will be floored to know that the Sugar Rush crew ARE indeed a large part of Rectifying Origin. Just please bear with me when I say there IS a reason for their absence, but once they come back, you guys will understand. And no, it's not towards the end. It's actually near the beginning. A little bit of the first bit of the story excludes them, but I promise they ALL come back. I know that's spoiling things, but I feel as if a lot of you are like in full panic mode/may not continue reading if you think it won't include the original Sugar Rush team.

But what you guys don't know, is that a few certain peeps, from a game long unplugged, make their debut. :D
