The words all began to blur together on the computer screen before him. He removed his glasses and ran his hand down his face, sighing. He glanced up again and saw success printed on the screen. He placed his glasses on his nose and continued to read. So, JJ was married, it wasn't what he expected, but he was happy for her. Prentiss had moved up in the world and had been replaced at the BAU. There wasn't much printed for Garcia or Morgan, but he suspected that was a good thing. Strauss was gone now, left the world for a better place, he was glad about that, not because he felt any ill towards her, but because she was away from the evil that infested the world of the living. Aaron was doing well, moving on after Hayley's death, it was a comfort to him, he was never sure that Aaron would be able to move on after he read the obituary in the paper. The man that had replaced him, David Rossi, was doing well within the team by the looks of things, and still writing too. All of these things filled him with joy. As usual he saved Spencer Reid for the final search. He typed in the name and waited for the news to load. Spencer was his one regret, he never got to see how he had become so good at his job, he had never seen him grow into the man that he is, for this he was envious, but at the same time he knew that if he had stayed at the FBI, it would have killed him, and spencer never would have grown into the man he was while looking to him for leadership. Jason Gideon smiled, finished the article he was reading and shut down the computer. Unless something came up he would search the names of the members of the BAU again next year. He liked to know that his family was doing well with him gone. A check in once a year was enough.

A/N: Hey guys, so I know I'm almost finished Pajama Rama, I only have a chapter or two to write and ill finish them tomorrow after work. In the meantime this came to me. I felt that it needed to be said. I thing that Gideon would check in on the BAU every once in a while, and I honestly feel that of he had stayed we would have lost Reid, with Gideon out of the way it gave Spencer room to grow as a character. Anyway, the authors note shouldn't be longer than the story, so until next time, Cooey out.
