Hello everyone ^^
I had a lot of issues going on but I'm finally back!
Let's not wait anymore and jump right into the story :D
~Previously~
"What is it Papa?" Kiki questioned a bad feeling in his gut.
"The antidote has to be given voluntarily by the person who had given her the potion…Claude has to give it to her out of his own free will and without any feeling of fear or being forced" Samuel said looking over at Siera who was panting.
"What?!"
~Currently~
"Yes, Claude has to give it to her on his own free will" Samuel confirmed yet again.
"But Papa he is never going to do that!" Kiki said gritting his teeth his eyes flashing the demon slit red and pink.
"Calm down Kiki. Though I said this is difficult I didn't say its not possible. Don't forget that Siera herself too could break out of the spell on her free will" Samuel said looking at everyone in turns.
"But Father...how is that possible?" Sebastian questioned.
As much as he remembered antidotes were the only way to get demons free of the potions taken by them. Samuel only smiled forlornly in response,
"You will know with time my boy" he said gently.
"Now what do we do..." Kimi asked his eyes laced with concern and worry.
"Don't worry Kimi, whatever the four of you did in my absence is working the way we want it to. She has started fighting the potion" Samuel said smiling in approval.
"Does that mean nee san going into berserk mode is a good sign Papa?" Kimi asked looking hopeful to which Samuel nodded.
"It means she is internally fighting the potion which is a very good sign" Samuel confirmed smiling at the others hoping to lighten the atmosphere a little.
"But she has to be given the antidote by Claude's own free will..." Kiki said his eyes clouding over in rage.
"It indeed presents quite an annoying problem...besides he is very adamant on winning over Siera's body and strength...this wont be easy" Kayla said frowning.
"Indeed..." Sebastian said looking at Siera his eyes filled with regret.
"But Papa if w-"
"Calm down everyone, I will see what I can do about this absurd situation that we are in, but we always managed to come above every obstacle we've faced and this time will be no different. I have had enough for now, Sebastian take Siera to the room and look after her. Leave Ciel in Kimi's capable hands" Samuel said his voice holding finality.
"No more buts and arguments. Get to your chores" Samuel said as he headed to the room Kayla and he had shared.
Kimi nodded and headed off to change into a spare set of clothes that looked similar to Sebastian's to look after Ceil. Sebastian sat down next to her gently running his palm over her hair, his fingers taking care of any stray strands on her face. Kiki walked out towards the kitchen, looking pretty worried. His mind wasn't in the food he was preparing and yet there was speed and grace with his preparations.
-With Kayla and Samuel-
Kayla waited till the two of them were perfectly alone. She narrowed her eyes at Samuel,
"Samuel...show me your hand" Kayla said frowning.
"Nothing ever escapes your sharp eyes, does it?" Samuel said smiling as he pulled Kayla close and kissed her forehead.
"I am quite alright my dear, but like you rightly thought so, my hand will take a few weeks to heal though I'm afraid. Even with your powers it will take some time my love" he said chucking lightly.
Kayla stayed quiet as she received the kiss, her eyes on his charred arm.
"Making the antidote must've done this...if only the condition for giving the antidote wasn't so bad..."
Thoughts were running rampant in Kayla's mind before Samuel squeezing her lightly brought her back to reality,
"Don't worry love, I will make sure our daughter comes back to us safe and sound. I will protect our family as I always have" he said his voice reassuring her as soon as she heard him.
She held his left sleeve burying her face in his chest. He simply held her running his fingers through her hair. She placed her palm over his charred arm with her hand glowing as she slowly started healing his arm. Sweat drops glistened on her forehead and Samuel stopped her. He shook his head and made her lie down softly lulling her to sleep.
-With Claude-
Claude paced his room his mind running into various scenarios when he received no reply from Siera. It was the perfect opportunity to gain the trust of all of them but he had failed. He couldn't control his impulsiveness, after all it was who he was. Right from the beginning he had no chance. He wasn't her mate and neither did he love her. There was no way he would've been able to figure out who the real Siera was between her and the perfect copy. Things were going perfectly, okay they really weren't but this time he knew he might have really lost this fight. He caused seeds of doubt to be buried in Siera's mind. That was his biggest mistake. Even though everyone didn't believe him thanks to the potion's effects he at least had Siera on his side. She truly believed she loved him and he loved her. But now because Kayla she was having her doubts on him. He banged his fist on the table breaking it instantly. The satisfying noise calmed him down a little. He wasted no time before repairing to just how it was before. He took in a deep breath and dusted his clothes before he heard Alois call to him.
"She will definitely be there. The potion should be in its finally stages by now. Damn...if she had just let me mate with her this would've been over long ago" he thought as he knocked on Alois' door seeking permission to enter.
-With Sebastian and Siera-
He had dared to get into the same bed with her again. This man who wasn't her mate...yet this man had been able to figure who she was even though Kimi had made a perfect copy. No one had been able to figure out Kimi's perfect copy except the other three. Even Kiki sometimes had a hard time figuring out Kimi's perfect copy even though he had seen it plenty of times. Yet this man had been able to figure out who she really was. But he had clues since he had always watched over her right? But...for just how long did he watch over her? How much of it helped him? Why did he say he had felt her rather than known her? Why wasn't Claude able to know who she was if he was her meito? How did she meet Claude? How did she come to fall in love with him? Why did she not remember that? How could anyone forget the first time they met the person they fall in love with? Why did she not remember anything? J-
Her thoughts stopped when she felt his fingers rake through her hair gently. He had her head on his shoulder with his other hand gently over her hand. His warmth felt strangely comforting to her. She felt strangely secure in his hold.
"What is this I'm feeling? Just what is going-"
Her mind blanked out and soon a vague memory came back to her in a rush.
She was sobbing. Tears were spilling down her cheeks but no sound left her lips. He had taken a step forward and embraced her. Her head was in his shoulder with his hand on the back of her head. They were talking something quietly which made her feel even more sad. He had held her tightly in his embrace soothing her as much as he could. She had leaned into the warmth of his embrace feeling secure.
She had thanked him with tears glistening in her eyes and he held her tighter in response, his voice gentle when he spoke,
"Don't worry about it"
Her eyes snapped open. She sat up bluntly sweat glistening on her forehead. Sebastian awoke due to the sudden jerk next to him. Though his face seemed to hold no expression, his eyes held a worried look in them,
"Is everything okay Siera? Are you uncomfortable?" He questioned placing his hand on her shoulder, a little disappointed that their embrace had been broken so bluntly.
"Y-Yea I-I'm fine...you don't need to worry about me" Siera replied, her eyes growing panicky.
Sebastian opened his mouth to talk but kept quiet swallowing his words. He could see that she was still uncomfortable in his presence. He stood up from the bed and stood next to her as she sat on the bed,
"Im sorry, I thought lying down next to you would help you. I didn't intend to make you uncomfortable" he said softly.
Siera's mind was running wild. She didn't want to acknowledge that she missed his warmth and she wanted him next to her again. She didn't yell or complain like she usually did and she just nodded at him. He made her lie down again and used a dry hand towel to wipe the sweat glistening on her forehead. She watched him quietly, no words escaping her lips. Once he pulled the covers up to her shoulders, Sebastian left the room after giving her a slight nod.
Only after he had left Siera realized the aches in her body. She was tired both mentally and physically but she knew one thing for sure. There was something wrong going on. She closed her eyes taking in a deep breath. Her mind re-ran all the incidents that had happened after a ball. Why couldn't she remember any of the incidents that happened before the ball? Her long-term memory was intact...she remembered everyone from her family yet there was a huge black hole when it came to remembering events that had occurred recently. She sat up slowly and held the side of her head. She couldn't remember anything regarding how she had met Claude or how the Meito Ceremony had been conducted and who won the ceremony. Also those weird memory flashes...just what were they? Claude did tell her that he was the one who won the Ceremony but that none of the others approved of him. He had refused to tell her who had competed with him for her hand. It was suspicious. Claude was being strange. She thought of how he had accused Sebastian even though he was innocent and her frown deepened. A deep sigh left her lips.
She removed the covers from her body and her eyes noticed the letter she had angrily crumpled on the table. She got off the bed and took the letter in her hand. She had thrown it down...who had put this back here on the table? She straightened the edges looking at the letter making her angry again. She slammed the letter on the table as she took in deep breaths.
"If a meeting is what you want...I'll give it to you. Since...I do love you after all...even if I'm angry we need to work things out. That's what it means to be in a relationship...isn't it?"
Her thoughts fought inside her as she picked out the outfit she would wear to go meet Claude in the Tsuki glade.
-That night at Tsuki Glade-
Claude had both his hands in his pocket as he made a smooth landing on the ground. He had reached the promised time and right on time. He had a stoic face but his mind was not as calm his expression was. He was nervous. Siera hadn't replied to his letter which was a first since he had given her the potion making her believe that they were in love with each other. He stood staring at the half moon which was hanging low in the sky.
Siera watched him as he landed on the ground. He had the same expression on his face. She couldn't detect what he was thinking. She walked out from behind the tree she was behind and called out to him.
"Siera?" Claude questioned looking around before he turned to find himself staring right at her.
She nodded to him not trusting herself to speak. Claude walked up to her and though he was aching to take her in his arms he stopped in front of her leaving just a few inches in between them.
"I know...I know that you are angry...but please forgive me Siera" he said taking her hand gently in his.
Siera looked at him his eyes revealing nothing to her. His gentle gesture won over her anger. She sighed and looked up at him,
"But why did you do it Claude? There are so many things I don't even remember. How did we meet? What happened at the Meito Ceremony? Who was the other contender? Why do I have such a huge memory lapse?" She said raining questions on him quickly.
Claude knew he needed a good answer to give her. She had to forgive him for his mishap and erase all the doubts she had about him in her mind. Her questions made him smirk internally as an idea struck him. Even if he couldn't erase all the doubts about him, he could plant doubts about the others around her.
"Its all Sebastian's fault Siera...believe me" Claude said taking a step closer to her, making her snap.
"Sebastian is innocent! Why're you blaming him for your mishap? He has nothing to do with the questions I asked you" Siera said almost about to remove her hand from his grasp when he tightened the hold on her hand.
"He was the other candidate in the Meito Ceremony. Since he works with you in the Phantomhive mansion he grew feelings for you. Even though you didn't want him to participate he forced himself into the ceremony. Even though I formally won the ceremony your family didn't like me. They like and approve of Sebastian. Using your family's approval as an excuse he pretended to throw a congratulatory ball for the two of us. He mixed the potion of reversal into your drink and had a lower-class demon deliver it to you" Claude said furrowing his eyebrows as he looked at her.
Siera's eyes went wide. Potion of reversal...the potion that made the giver manipulate the memories of the receiver in any way they wanted. Rage boiled in Siera's blood.
"How dare he...wait a moment, how does Claude know so much?"
"But if Sebastian had given me the potion wouldn't he have wanted me to think that I loved him and not you?" Siera questioned suspicion in her eyes as she looked at Claude.
"Our love was stronger than the potion Siera...that's why you're still in love with me but the potion caused the memory lapse since it couldn't modify your memories of me" Claude said using her vulnerable state to pull her into his embrace.
"Could this be true? Is he really saying the truth? Is Sebastian really that low of a person?" Siera thought a slight frown gracing her features.
A smug smirk appeared on Claude's lips as he hugged Siera. Since she couldn't see his face he could of course express what he wanted. He gave her back gentle pats, his touches slowly turning more intimate. Siera broke the embrace and stared at Claude who seemed a bit surprised at her suddenly breaking the embrace.
"No matter what he says...this doesn't feel right. I need to know the truth. If Sebastian really did that to me I need to know why the intimacy I have with him feels right and the intimacy I share with Claude feels wrong. Even if my family isn't approving him why hasn't Claude approached them even once to try and make them reconsider their decision...his focus has only been me so far. My instincts are screaming at me...why is this happening even though I'm supposed to be in love with him? Why is everything so confusing...just what is happening to me? Who's is lying to me? Is it Sebastian...or Claude?"
Siera's thoughts were running chaos as she looked at the surprised who seemed to be silent ever since she had broken his embrace. She looked hard at him not saying a word. She sensed Samuel while leaving the mansion and this was something she needed to verify with everyone.
"I'm sorry Claude...I need to go. I have something I need to know. Sebastian is not going to breathe the next minute he admits to giving me the potion" she said her eyes narrowing.
"What if he blames it on me Siera? What if he says that I was the one who gave you that potion?" Claude questioned confusing her even further.
"I will figure that later. I already have a lot on my mind at the moment...I have to get going now" Siera said before she disappeared into thin air.
She raced back to the mansion a thousand thoughts running in her mind.
Claude seems to have confused Siera even further. She is confused, angry and completely out of focus. What is going to happen to the three of them now? Will Sebastian will be killed by her in her rage or will Claude finally get exposed? Will Siera be able to figure things out?
Wait to find out. Sorry for being such a horrible person and not uploading a chapter in such a long while. I hope you all have a good time reading it :3
Reviews are appreciated x3 (even if it is a crappy rushed chapter x3)
Till next time, adios amigos :D
