Papa's Snowflake

Epilogue: The Sky's Awake…

But… chance was smiling on this father daughter pair…

For just a fraction of a moment before the bombs detonated, an aberration appeared behind them. It appeared like a fabric tear, filled with dancing, gray, television static. It showed a beautiful, snow-covered mountainside that looked over a great fjord.

And as the shockwave of the bombs hurled the pair back.

It sent them right through the tear…

It ejected its unconscious cargo unceremoniously onto the snow-covered mountain ridge, the water on their suits quickly freezing into thin layers of ice. Their bodies sinking deep into the thick blanket of snow.

And as quickly as the anomaly appeared, it vanished. Its unclear task complete.

And so the duo lay there. Sleeping. Completely unaware of their fortune…

Until finally… after hours of laying in the snow… they began to stir…

(Elsa's POV)

Elsa woke with a groan…

She rose from where she lay with grunt, her eyes closed from how sore her body felt. She shook her helmeted head to try and clear her jumbled senses, which only caused a splitting headache to bloom. Wincing, she presses her hand on her visor as if it would alleviate the ache.

Elsa's glowing, blue eyes suddenly went wide, her head no longer throbbed and her body went deathly still.

Ever so slowly, Elsa removed her now trembling hand from her helmet and looked at, turning it over left and right, like she had never seen it before.

Elsa's jaw then fell as she realized she wasn't dead.

She was alive!

Elsa looked herself over, checking each and every part of her body to make sure everything was in place. She checked her legs, her arms, her torso, her feet, her helmeted head, her oxygen tank, her basket, her needle, her papa doll.

She even counted her leather straps to make sure every single one was there.

Elsa was without words. She had survived a nearly point blank explosion of TNT. By all rights, she should be dead, even with her papa shielding he-

'PAPA!' Elsa shot up from her hole in the snow and looked over for her papa. A whaleish, moaning groan from her far right made Elsa swivel her head to face it with enough force to give a normal person a broken neck.

Her papa rose from out of the snow, on his hands and knees. Elsa ran to her papa's side and helped him get to his feet. Once he was back on his own two feet, Elsa all but tackled him as she threw her arms around him and hugged him tight.

Elsa felt her papa return her aggressive hug by gently wrapping his large arms around her and leaning in. They stood like this for a while, both enjoying the comfort of the other, until Elsa's papa finally let go and looked around them.

Elsa followed his example and began examining their surroundings, but gasped when she saw where they were.

Before them laid the most beautiful thing Elsa had ever seen in her entire life. They were on some kind of snow-covered stone outcropping, looking over something Elsa had never seen in her life…

The surface…

Words or thoughts couldn't describe the sheer majesty of what she was seeing. Wanting to make sure it was real, Elsa took off her helmet.

The feeling of some invisible force, softly pushing against her face, was the first thing she felt. It felt oh so nice on her pale skin. The air did not reek of decay, mold, blood, ADAM, and seawater here. Instead, the air smelled so clean, so fresh, Elsa couldn't even begin to describe it.

But the world was very dark. Everything was set in darkness, like the lights were not working. Elsa wondered why, and looked up, expecting to finally see what the sun really looked like.

Elsa dropped her helmet in the snow, and stared wide-eyed and slack-jawed at what was occurring above them.

Beautiful, green waves of light, dancing in the darkness above. Elsa couldn't fathom this phenomenon. She reached up, and tried to grab one of the waving bands of emerald light, only to find it was too high for her to reach, too high for anyone to reach.

Elsa soon realized what the lights were dancing in to make it so they could not be touched.

They were dancing in the sky

Excited by this discovery, Elsa turned to her papa, only to see him looking up at something else besides the lights. Elsa looked where he looked and saw a little, white, disc… just sitting in the dark sky. Its glow was nowhere near as magnificent as the dancing lights, but it still held a certain beauty.

Elsa jumped when she heard the hissing of air escaping, and her head shot towards her papa. Elsa's eyes went wider when she saw him slowly removing his diving helmet. He detached the tubes that ran into his helmet from both sides before slowly lifting the helmet from his head and letting it fall to the ground with a thud.

Elsa gasped silently at her papa's face.

He was bald, his skin was a dull red and had slight decaying look to it, over his nose and forehead was a metal plating with two small holes where his nose would be. His mouth was open slightly in awe of the sky, so Elsa was able to see that his teeth had slight points to them.

Concerned by his appearance, Elsa placed her hand on his arm to gain his attention. He looked down at her and for the first time in forever, Elsa saw her papa's eyes…

They glowed like hers, like the little sisters', but they were not the same colors. His right eye shone with the gentle, yellow-gold of a little sister's eyes, while the left glowed the same ice blue as Elsa's own. She could see so much pain in them, but also great love, strength, compassion, and so much more.

These were the eyes of a loving father, who would go to the ends of the Earth for his children…

These were her papa's eyes…

Elsa reached up with her right hand and went to place it against his cheek. He let her, and as her hand rested against his marred skin, he leaned into it with closed eyes. He opened them after a moment and starred into Elsa's own.

A wobbly smile formed on her face and tears started to blur her vision. He smiled warmly at her and wiped away the tears in her eyes with one gloved thumb. He then turned back to face the direction of the sea, Elsa's gaze quickly followed his.

But it was not the sea that her papa was looking at. It was where the ocean met the land.

Elsa could see clusters of tiny little lights, flickering about. She then started to make out shapes, squares, triangles, cones, and Elsa knew what they were looking at.

'A city!' She thought excitedly. 'It's a surface city!'

Elsa quickly looked up at her papa, who looked down at her, and pointed at the city with barely contained glee, and a begging expression on her face.

He looked as if he was in deep thought for a moment, before nodding his approval. Elsa bounced up and down happily while chirping with joy. Elsa ran over to where her helmet laid and placed it back on her head. She turned and saw that her papa was doing the same with his helmet, screwing the tubes back into place on the left and right sides of his helmet.

When they were both ready, father and daughter began the trek down the large, snowy, mountain, and down towards the city on the surface.

Eager to see what this new world has to offer them…

Author's Note: And the story has been finished! For now… I have heard the wisdom of the reviews and have decided…

THE SEQUEAL SHALL BE MADE!

But first I need to figure out a title, and main conflict. I'm sorry but I only thought up to when they finally meet, after that I got nothing. I also need to focus on Savagery so the sequel might take some time.

But thank you all so much for supporting me and my writing.

If you want a better idea of what Delta looks like, check out Lostro on DeviantArt. He drew an amazing Delta unmasked which is what I based my look of Delta off of.

Note that unlike the game, Delta and Elsa will be able to control the output of their plasmids. Delta can shoot just a single bolt of lightning without making it chain to others and Elsa can freeze people without surrounding them in a block of ice.

It's been one hell of a ride so far. I would again like to thank everyone who read and supported my work. I still can't believe that this idea of mine turned into a full-fledged fanfic. And the top one for this type of crossover.

As always: please fav, follow and review, Thank You!
