It started out as a joke. Cosima was sitting at her desk with that concentrated look of hers. On her screen, were various navigation pages, about Neolution, Dyad Institute and others alike.
She stared at Delphine, her too was looking at her laptop with a small frown that made Cosima smile.
Music was blasting in Cosima's ears, she liked music when it came to research. Made her focused.
« I got something. » said Delphine raising her head.
For only answer, Cosima took an earpod off.
« They are based in Montreal, they are researching about DNA's memory through generations. And guess what, they own Neolution. »
Delphine had a very stern look on her face. Cosima came by her to see that from her own eyes.
« Abstergo Industries. » said Cosima slowly.
They looked at each other, Delphine biting her lips.
« Can you not do that when we're working ? That's disturbing. » Cosima said looking away.
« Because we're working ? » answered Delphine playfully.
« Yes we are. »
Cosima was still a bit annoyed by the fact that Delphine had lied to her about her intentions. Sometimes out of revenge she would just use it to have fun with her, but she didn't like to do that, so she just ended up kissing Delphine on the cheek.
« Oh my god. » said Delphine opening a new tab.
« Is this a restricted access ? How did you even managed to get in there ? » asked Cosima gaping at the webpage.
« The DYAD institute, is part of Abstergo Industries, as is Neolution, and every branch of it. How come we had no idea ? I never noticed that before. » said Delphine shocked.
Cosima lied on her bed and took her laptop with her. Delphine joined her sitting with her knees under her chin.
« Abstergo Industries right ? » she said
« Yeah. »
« Basically, they say they are working on the DNA of a man, Desmond Miles, that died two years ago. It is said that they are on the edge of next gen video gaming. The Animus is some kind of a bridge to get information right at the source. From Miles DNA. No wonder why DYAD and Neolution are belonging to them. »
« Merde. »
« What do you think about breaking in ? » said Cosima looking at Delphine with half a smile.
Delphine gaped. She then smiled and bit her lips in a very sensual way that made Cosima look away.
Delphine came close to Cosima's right ear.
« Let's see how good you are in computer recalibration and hacking. » she whispered.
« That, is the best mistake you could have done. I'm better than you think I am. » answered Cosima turning her head to face Delphine only centimeters away from her lips.
They stared in each other's eyes for two minutes that felt like an hour. They kissed. For a good five minutes, they breathed in and puffed heavily.
« Bring it on. » said Cosima.
« Avec plaisir. » answered Delphine.
