So hey guys. This is a project I did for my English class in which instead of it being Romeo and Juliet it's Percy and Annabeth. The Settings are:

Time: Ancient Greece

Place: Annabeth's 14th b-day party at Athena's palace on Earth.

Act 1 Scene 5 and it starts at line 95.

Romeo and Juliet

Percy and Annabeth

Percy – Your hand is like a shrine to the gods that my hand is unworthy to visit or touch. If I offend you by my touch, my two lips are waiting, like two seekers waiting to speak with the oracle, ready to make everything better with a kiss.

Annabeth – Good man, you have not given your hand enough credit. By holding my hand you show polite devotion. After all, man touch the hands of the statues of the gods. Holding palm against palm is like a kiss.

Percy – Don't the gods and men have lips too?

Annabeth – Yes, sir-they have lips that they speak and pray with.

Percy – Well then, m'lady, let lips act like hands I am praying to Aphrodite and Eros for you to kiss. Please grant my prayer and wish so my faith won't turn to despair.

Annabeth – Gods don't always listen to your prayers or grant your wishes.

Percy – If that is so, don't move and I shall grant my own wish. (Kisses Annabeth) Now my sin lie on your lips.

Annabeth – Do my lips hold the sin that laid on your lips?

Percy – Sin from my lips? But m'lady. You encourage crime what with your beauty. I'll take my sin back. (Kisses Annabeth.)

Annabeth – You kiss like Aphrodite taught you.

Nurse Katie – Madam, m'lady wishes a word with you. (Annabeth leaves.)

Percy – Who is her mother?

Nurse Katie – Her mother, young man, is a powerful goddess. She is strong, brave, a virtuous woman, and above all, wise. I cared for m'lady's daughter, who you were just talking to. Let me tell you, the man who takes her hand will be wealthy. (Leaves)

Percy – (To himself) Is she the famous daughter of Athena? Oh the pain that Eros has caused me. My life is in the gentle hands of my enemy.

Annabeth – Come, Nurse Katie, who is that young male?

Nurse Katie – He is the son and hair of Agasicles.

Annaberh – Who is he? The one walking out the door?

Nurse Katie – Him? I believe that is young Pertheus.

Annabeth – And the one following? The one who wouldn't dance?

Nurse Katie – I know not.

Annabeth – Please, go ask. (Nurse leaves.) If he is married, I'll know Aphrodite has cursed my love life. If I have to marry another man, I'll let Thanatos take my soul.

Nurse Katie(Returns) His name is Perseus but goes by Percy. He's Poseidon's son. The only hair or your one worst enemy.

Annabeth – My love, the son of the man I am to hate. We met too early. We were ignorant to each other's identities. Oh gods. Mother. Oh Aphrodite, Eros why are you so cruel. He may not be married, yet my love life is cursed.
